When I moved here I couldn’t watch the Packers unless it was national TV. Went to bars but hate it . Friend of mine had this box and I looked into it, and I never looked back.

We moved to CA in 2000 and bought NFL Sunday Ticket, then owned by DirecTV. It was pretty reliable. I just didn't like the 10am kickoffs........

Thanks 13. You took my comment on starting fast and extended it to a season, and you're right. Sleep walking through the first quarter, or 1H, and then losing by one score - well, I get the point.

Fortunately, expectations were exceeded yesterday. It seemed like MLF slowed things down in the 2H. Maybe that was my imagination. But he made up for it by going for it on 4th and 1 in Q4 and that sealed the deal, as did the pic by Williams and a TD two plays later. (And that pic probably doesn't happen without Parsons in Goff's face.)

It's still one game. I expect them to come out and start fast again the rest of the season.

Coming away with 3 TDs instead of 3 FGs was crucial. That was something we did not do against the better teams in the past especially when we had a doink kicker. On the other hand we forced the Lions to settle for 2 FGs instead of TDs.

That first half was beautiful. Opening drive TD, defense gets a 3 and out, we come right back for a FG, Detroit has a **** and dunk, long 9 minute drive, but only gets 3 pts. We come right back going 65 yards in 2 plays for 7 more pts.

The D was good last year, albeit with an average pass rush. The D yesterday looked unstoppable against the pass and rush, and they were on the field a lot. Other guys like Wyatt stepped up in run D, with the absence of Clark.

It is was an amazing performance, given it's only week 1. Even in a diminished role, Parsons had a big impact. Impressive win.
