Some facts for the Longwell lovers and haters ...

Longwell in just 8 seasons has become the team's all-time:

~~ scorer with 964 career points;
~~ ranks first in team history with 206 career field goals;
~~ PAT leader with 346 career PATs

But by far Longwell's most stunning accomplishment is that he is the FIFTH-MOST ACCURATE FIELD GOAL SPECIALIST IN NFL HISTORY at 82 percent. This despite kicking outdoors (which half the kickers don't) and in some of the worst weather in the league -- on the frozen tundra.

Another stat that may surprise some of you is Longwell has led the NFL in points scored since he came into the league in 1997.

below is a link to a nice story on Ryan for those who are interested.

Like Solder Field, kicking in Green Bay has got to be a challenge. Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone.

I agree. Ryan Longwell has been outstanding for the Packers over his career. I mean, I think it's easy to take him for granted. When he misses any field goal, I am shocked. He's automatic and we should look to keep him if he doesn't ask for the moon and stars. :D

If I remember right Ryan's % numbers dropped off when Doug Pederson left for those couple of years, he and Ryan really worked well together. Hopefully either Craig Nall, Aaron Rogers, or B.J. Sanders can step up and get comfortable with Ryan. I agree with everyone Longwell has one of the toughest jobs kicking at Lambeau in the winter!!
