Good productivity is better than bad productivity at every level of college ball. That's a truism, right?

But when you start comparing high productivity in lesser conferences to lesser productivity in elite conferences you've missed the point. You have to project to the NFL level.

For us less knowledgeable folks, what does a sparq score measure?

Sparq is a metric that combines a player's size adjusted results in the 40, three cone, jumps, short shuttle, and bench via a specific formula. A guy named Zach Whitman had heard of something similar used by Peter Carroll while he was at USC for recruiting. He basically reverse engineered the formula by looking at player scores and their corresponding measurables. There are a few teams in the league that seem to value metrics like this. Seattle and Green Bay are a couple of them. You can check it out here.

Aaron Jones' had the third highest score in this class. This makes sense, as his results were all really strong.
