QB Drew Brees has a torn ligament in his throwing thumb and he’s going to require surgery, sources say. The timeframe depends on the surgery, but he’s likely out 6 weeks. That’s the initial estimate.

Looks like the Saint are going to find out just how hard it is to play without a FHOF QB.

Selfish side of me wishes this happened last year, when the Packers owned the Saints 1st round pick.
