True, but what Super Bowl team lost as 13.5 favorites? I read somewhere (so credit to them for finding it) that the last time a team lost as such heavy favorites was 2023 Titans @ Miami.
Such large upsets where the underdog wins outright are extremely rare in the NFL, historically occurring in less than 5% of games where the spread is greater than 14 points. The largest point spread upset since 1985 remains Washington's 24-17 victory at Dallas in 1995, when Washington was a 17.5-point underdog.

Packers vs Broncos SB

13 point favorites
Fair enough!! But right now I don’t have confidence in this team. Not only did they lose today, they lost to the browns!! That’s TWO games where we were at least 10 point favorites and lost.

In my mind, good to great teams don’t lose like that.

Packers in 96 lost to the 0-11 Colts and still went to the SB

Everything you’ve posted in response to me is all true! Hopefully it’s just a bad game. They have fantastic test against the Eagles. Win that, back on track. Lost that? Now it’s looking dicey.

Appreciate the conversation!!

Top 5 offense before today even with the bad Brown game

Who deserve that credit of people want to fire Matt now?

Lots of Overvreaction.

2 losses by a total of 6 points. Both on 57 yard and 49 yard FG’s at :00 and :00 on the clock. Can’t get much closer in a Loss. We sometimes act like other teams don’t try or are incapable of playing football.
Carolina is currently 5-3 with their starting QB. They are 2nd place in their Division and 3-1 in the NFC.. hardly a bottom feeder.

Super DUD

We just lost Tucker Kraft on a record breaking pace season. Gone with a torn ACL confirmed. Terrible way to end his remarkable season. Totally sucks this makes todays Loss look small

I haven't heard any out out calls for LaFleur's head. I criticize him for as Magooch said, that he calls plays for a team he wishes he had rather than for the team he does have. Or another way, plays that look good on his clipboard but aren't that great in a real game. And he just sticks with it until he has no other choice. Like he's running out of time.

Considering the up and down play of this team losing to Browns, Panthers, tie vs. Cowboys not sure I would be talking SB at this point in season- nothing that shows they are that team. They need to worry about just getting out of this division considering 5-3 Lions/Bears and 4-4 Vikings.

- I'm stretching here... with the exception of two BAD throws (one INT and one should-have-been), Love looked sharp again. Week after week I find myself wondering why this team decided to pay him a billion dollars yet don't seem to want to trust him that much.
Maybe because of those horrendously bad throws? There's been several this season now.

- Hafley's defense seems to pretty much only work as front runners. When the offense is firing and we get a lead and they can play aggressive they are solid. If you ask them to protect a lead or hang on to a tie in two-minute drill type situations I have basically zero confidence in them getting the job done.
Thank you.

Long list of duds

Play calling
Red zone offense
Special teams
McManus
Run defense

Somehow we lost when Bryce Young’s final line was 11/20, 102 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, 48.3 rating

Easy to say in hindsight, but I thought LaFleur should have gone for 3 once we got backed up to 4th and 8. I would have taken the points given it was low-scoring game.
If you are playing a putrid defense and it has been a track meet game in which we have not been able to stop the other guy..maybe. Terrible decision. Even McCarthy would not be that stupid, at least not most of the time.

Thank you.
Even the INT happened because of a bone head throw by a young QB. The Panthers should have came away with 3.

SB is definitely out of the question. Making the playoffs will be iffy. The Bears, Lions, and Vikings are all better teams than Carolina. Their QBs make Bryce Young look like a HS player. And watch the Eagle QB next week. If you cannot put up 28 you lose.

MLF will always be able to produce a decent team with a winning record and maybe get in the postseason. But he has not made it to that upper echelon like Andy Reid. Coaching is more than X's and O's. It is preparation, organization, discipline, and motivation. Last week it really appeared that this young team was starting to mature. And this week they looked like 6th graders who left their books at home and told the teacher that they had to go back to get them.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. We just lack the killer finishing instinct. MLF needs to improve for the team to improve.

Seen this rerun before! Poorly coached mediocre team. Without Kraft, the offense will struggle. Let's face it, the season will end with another one and done playoff debacle if they get lucky to win another 4 games. The Packers added Micah Parsons and still haven't improved.

Jerry Jones is smiling tonight. His first round picks just went way up in value.

Perhaps worth reminding as it relates to LaFleur: his contract currently runs through the end of the 2026 season.

Ed Policy has said he is not a fan of having guys on lame duck contracts so in all likelihood you can expect that we either sign him to an extension or start looking elsewhere ahead of next season.

In other words, this season is make-or-break and he’ll have to decide if he feels LaFleur is going to be able to get this team over the hump and into the Super Bowl in the immediate future.

(The same is true of Gute too FYI)

If we win our next 2 games, we'll be 7-2-1 and no team in the NFL will have less losses than us. I'm the kind of guy that would come back and remind you how ridiculous your statement sounds even at 5-2-1.
