From my post in the other thread:

We'll be arriving at our AirBnB on Friday evening and will probably just chill there that night. Anyone know where I can get some good local steaks to grill maybe?

Saturday we're going to take in the town of Green Bay. I'll want to go to the pro shop that day to peruse the apparel, but other than that we'll be looking for good local eats and drinks! Again, any recommendations welcomed!

And then Sunday. Man I'm excited. Should I go to one of the main forums to find someone who runs a big tailgate we could visit? It sounds like we'll absolutely be welcomed for at least a drink at any tailgate, but didn't know if someone on here knows of a specifically good one that's there every gameday.
Stadium & HOF tour packages still available Friday 10/31, 5:45PM is latest time slot if you can get into town early enough ($36/person).

Prime Quarter is a great grill-your-own-steak joint I love going to when in area.

Bummer. Packers got thinner at CB, as well as lost a 7th round 2025 draft pick.

Titans plucked Micah Robinson off the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.

Alpaca spit far more, they’re like Philly fans - the bad outnumber the good and bad you’re best to just not visit their home terf.
According to my Funk-n-Wagnall, Llamas can spit 33 feet and Alpacas only 10. You ever gone gopher hunting with an Okie armed with nothing more than a chew and a bag of ball bearings? Those gophers ain't got a chance!

If you're looking for a chill place to grab a col' one and lunch while you're at the pro shop on Saturday, I'd recommend the Copper State Brewing Company. Really good beer selection and very good burgers. Also, if you go, have their pretzel for an app.

I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field but I also think Heath has earned more of a role than simply as a blocker. Now if we can just get that run blocking working better. Imho the 2 TE sets have not really helped much for the run game. It's like they just put more people closer to the LOS. Musgrave might get deep on one of those though. Up the seem.

Jayden Reed posted this days ago....on his Youtube.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't realize he had his Jones Fracture repaired at the same time as the shoulder, probably a smart move.

If we get him back after Thanksgiving, that would be great. A WR corp. Reed, Golden, Doubs and Watson, add in TE Kraft and the Packer offense could be hard to stop!

I wonder if they try and move Heath rather than for sure lose him if placing him on PS….zero chance the keep what 7 on 53

Sadly, a WR might get injured between now and then. With Williams, Wicks and Heath, the Packers have some impressive depth behind the big 4.

Despite being down to 5 CB's, with 0 on the Practice Squad, the Packers didn't work out any today. Instead, the worked out 2 International Player candidates. Offensive lineman Laekin Vakalahi and defensive tackle Dante Barnett.

5 is quite a few. Who are the other two. I know Melton and hope you're not calling Hobbs one

Hoping Gluten can trade for a decent CB ahead of the deadline. Hope is not a strategy though, and I don't see it happening. There was a lot riding on Hobbs being a productive player with a new team. That certainly hasn't worked. And IMO, Nixon has regressed. Valentine shows some signs and makes some plays. But the CB group is easily the worst position group on the team (leaving STs out of the discussion for now.......).

Bullard seems to be playing better in the slot, and Williams is picking up steam at S. The secondary is not a disaster. It is overly reliant on the strength of the DL, Edge and LBs. Every now and then, a corner needs to make a play.

CB25 Keisean Nixon24 Carrington Valentine36 Kamal Hadden
CB21 Nate Hobbs16 Bo Melton

What would Hobbs be listed as?

I wouldn't agree that 5 is quite a few, when you include the Practice Squad.

5 on the active is fairly normal...but yes not having a single one on the PS is not normal.

We do have Jaylin Simpson who played some seasons as a main outside corner in college. HOWEVER, I fully expect we add someone soon.

Tyron Herring was resigned to the Practice Squad. Good depth piece that was here all offseason. Camp, preseason. Was just released off the Patriots Practice squad I don’t know If that was just good timing or what.

Might recall he’s the CB that jammed Jelani Woods out of bounds and negated a TD this Preseason.

Back to DOUBLE Tyron n Tyron!

jmo but I don't think Hobbs is a corner. He is more like a Bullard. So I think we should raid the ps and get another one. But does that mean he would have to be on the 53 to start?

Yes. You cannot poach from PS to PS. We'd have to sign them to the 53, then release them, and hope no one puts in a waiver claim in order to put them on our PS.

So I guess we would need to find a player we consider better than Hadden

I'm surprised there are no CBs on the practice squad. Is Hadden suiting up on game days? Either way, it's an uninspiring list. Valentine has had his moments, and Melton is doing ok given the # of snaps and the change in position. But Nixon is going backwards and Hobbs is a liability. Pretty ugly.

I agree, this really isn't a very good CB room. Imagine had we not traded for Parsons and our pass rush was nonexistent. It really puts Hafley in a Catch-22. If he gives the CB help in coverage with LB's, and the front 4 doesn't get home, average QB's, given enough time, will find an open receiver. On the flip side, if he rushes 5-7 guys, it can allow the QB to kill you with a thousand cuts via quick short passes.

If the Packers had 2 above average CB's, this defense might be one of the best that they have had in a long time. They don't, so Hafley is just going to have to keep the Offense guessing and hope to god the CB's improve and the front 7 can keep getting pressure on the QB.

Normally, I don't get all that excited about or even behind mid-season trades, but this is a case when if the Packers could land a solid CB in a trade, I would be over the moon excited.

Considering that both Hadden and Melton haven't taken a regular season snap on defense, that might not be too hard to do.

I know I was saying that 5 CB's isn't enough, I guess I should have explained that better. Carrying 5, with only 3 actually having NFL experience, isn't enough.

They did bring CB Tyron Herring back yesterday and signed him to the PS, but that doesn't really give me any relief on how I feel about the CB group.

Is there an update on Brenton Cox? I can't find anything about him. I really like his game.

This is a very good question! We almost seemingly hide status of certain injured players. I’m not sure if that some psychological or philosophical reasoning.
I do know it’s a groin and it must have been somewhat serious because we’re approaching 2 months next week. I thought he was season ending but I might have been reading old news as I now can’t find anything that shows that.
In addition we It’s possible that we might be practicing more prudence with these players because we’re so thick with Edge players and it would also require opening a Roster spot. Keep in mind we have Van Ness and Colin Oliver (5th RD pick) who should be returning also. There’s 3 guys that can play the position (although we’re been reducing Lukas inside also).

Brenton was playing lights out to close last season (like Starter level). I really like him also, I think his ceiling level is above Enagbare, who’s a very good rotational piece. If you get a moment go look at his finish on a game by game basis in 2024. He was one of our better Defenders when he was activated down the stretch.
