The clear solution is for the NFL to transition to fat older slower guys. Slower guys equals more action on the field as plays will take longer as they trudge along the field.
Yes. Only players with Sub 3.0 RAS scores allowed. These fatter guys should give us more BANG for our Bucks.

Also because these players never expected to get signed, we can lower the minimum to $250K and top players will make $1-2 Mil. This should keep the seating priced around $29.95. 50 yard line seats like $69 bucks. :)

ROSTER CUTS

  • OLB Matt Judon is being released, NFL Network Insiders Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday, per sources. Judon, 33, has started three of 13 games played this season, logging 19 total tackles, three QB hits and no sacks. The 10th-year veteran will be subject to waivers.
Any interest in Matthew Judon?

He hasn't just been bad this year but last year too when with ATL. Worth calling - talking and working out - sure....but his win rate on rushes sucks last two seasons, not the best in run defense which used to be a strength...granted he's likely your 4th or 5th in rotation at highest...so risk is low. If Cox and Oliver are both ways off from likely dressing and giving reps he may be worth it.

Pass on Judon, returning Cox from IR will give the D a lot more pop. The 15% of D snaps either would garner will be better spent on a fresh-legged 25 yr old Cox, Imho.

I agree, if Cox or Oliver is ready to go. Still waiting to hear what is happening with both of those guys, the Packers have until the 21st to either activate or shelf.

If neither of those guys are ready to go, then someone like Judon might be brought in. I admit to knowing very little about Judon, except that he played really well in New England until 2023. They dumped him and his big contract for a 3rd round pick with the Falcons and he hasn't played very well since. Did he hit the age wall? Injury? Or just another case of a player that made bank and decided to coast?

Cox. That name rings a bell in the past.
In 1996 the Packers acquired MLB Ron Cox from the Bears via free agency. The book was that he was a hard hitter, but slow. Yet, he had to start in the NFC Championship and SB XXX1 because George Koonce tore his ACL.

I’d agree with the others. While it’s always good to explore depth options, we have 2 Edge players nearing return.

I’m going to say there’s a 75% Cox Jr gets activated. He’s now practiced 7 of the last 7 practices and was FP today. He’ll have to be activated soon anyway and we’ve got his spot ready.

Behind him is our 5th Rounder Edge/LB ,Collin Oliver. He’s more speculative with such a long standing injury status though. However he’s been LP now for a couple weeks. I suspect GB wants to see what they’ve got in their 2025, 5th Rounder before shutting him down this season. Just 2 weeks ago some rumors were swirling he’s get shut down for the season because we had no room. Strange how things change week to week. I have this sneaky suspicion he’s going to be a pretty good player. Not sure how soon, but Oliver is too athletic and instinctive not to transition imo.
He’s also the perfect build, demeanor and athleticism for Teams also imo.

Christian Watson was practicing today! (Wed.) really great news.

MarShawn Lloyd was activated to the 53!

Don't get too excited. It sounds like a procedural move, so that he can be put back on IR. Which would allow the Packers to potentially bring him back...again, this season.

Don't worry, the Packers have done this move before, with none other than...
"Lucky Lloyd."

As predicted, Lloyd back to IR and Cox activated to the 53!

Time to ram those Bears with our Cox......

Oh wait, that didn't sound right! Delete...delete...

I read that it's actually a possibility that Lloyd could be active for a 2nd playoff game. Not that I'd expect much at that point.

Well I think I have PTSD. Woke up with the vision of parsons knee popping like a broken rubber and. :(
What a horrible game for injuries.

The doctors better get a horse cadaver ligament to replace his acl. That guy needs double or triple strength support to structurally hold his power and speed.
With his speed wouldn't a gazelle or impala ligament be a better choice?

Yup, can watch an entire game in under 15 minutes.
Doesn't the NFL network replay entire games in like an hour? I don't get the channel so I don't recall.

I have watched those sped up versions of games and I think you are correct, that 1 hour is also with commercials. If memory serves me correct they don't jump right from snap to tackle though, there is some fluff thrown in there as well.

At this point, I would put more money on Christopher Lloyd, than MarShawn Lloyd, to play in the Packers 2nd playoff game!

Just made the connection. Back in the Carter era during the push for metrification of the US, 88KPH = 55 MPH. That was posted on some highway signs. Also just before the movie came out was Sammy Hagar and

With the loss of Fitzpatrick last night, coupled with the concussion to Whyle, and of course Kraft's injury... I think at least calling Marcedes Lewis needs to happen. All he would really need to do is come in and block. Plus, he already knows MLF's system, so it should be a fairly easy transition to come in and play right away.
