Not a surprise.
I understand it, just was thinking TE tbh.Not sure why people are surprised here. Van Ness fits the Packers defensive philosophy so well.
So glad we didn't go teI understand it, just was thinking TE tbh.
Yuk no wayI understand it, just was thinking TE tbh.
We'll see, how many Iowa DE's have been in the pro-bowl or were 1st team all pro in the past 20 years, asking for a friend...Yuk no way

I don't think. Van Ness was on some of the top 5 available lists when the Packers drafted. He was mocked to the Packers a lot. Seems right about where anticipatedLike the pick, but wonder if Gute had the chance to trade down and still get him? Reminds me a bit of TJ Watt....hope he turns out as good.
Thought JSN was there and might have been the pick.
Can never have too many quality EDGE players.
A lot like the Gary pick, there won't be a ton of instant returns. But the Packers are almost certainly not SB contenders, so no sweat.I’m perfectly fine with this pick. Has some growing to do so far from a finished product yet productive and all effort all the time.
I'm kind of disappointed. We usually see 75% of posters losing their ever loving minds right now.
$?!&!:* "Are they out of they're #$&!?*@ MINDS!!!!!I'm kind of disappointed. We usually see 75% of posters losing their ever loving minds right
Very true, JB will probably be asking "would you like fries with that"? by next year.Don't really have much of an issue with the pick, but how many resources are going to continually be allocated to the defense? Especially with a clearance rack defensive coordinator.
