The cost was high - maybe not so high to go up 20 spots - and the shock to do the deal with the Vikings. But got to be thrilled with the pic k. Gute probably had info or a feeling that Watson was going early in the second. Also shows me that he's really high on the kid. Love the pic k, and with the day to study and think things over from last night, very happy with this draft so far.

Reading around the net for more info on Watkins. Apparently he has a potential to be a big time player both as a receiver and on special teams. The one knock I keep seeing is questionable hands. Hopefully it's a coachable and correctable thing, but the potential here is about off the charts.

Still think the Packers go for a veteran wide receiver. Free agent? Trade? How about a trade that includes a pick in next year's draft?

Ecstatic about the pick. Raw receiver but good hands and those physical traits….whew, i need to go take a cold shower

Chris Simms had Christian Watson rated as the #2 receiver in the entire draft.

He was also very high on D.K. Metcalf when everyone else was crapping on the dude.

It may have cost a little more just to get the deal done with a division rival.

GB gave up 680, #34 was valued at 560. The Vikes recouped some of their loss last night, but we've got a big speedster.
Seems like a lot. couldnt we have traded with someone else?

For what it's worth, just read a comment from a guy who has seen Watson play in person 30 times. Says he's going to be a home run. Says not to worry about his hands, didn't Adams have hands problems his first couple of years, and that he has substantially improved his hands every year.
