Drake Maye picked a hell of a night to go back to being Drake Maye. He's 8-18, 60 yards, QB rating 53.01. The Pats are just getting mauled by this Seattle defense.
The Seahawks mauled Frisco pretty well this year in the last 2 contests. Only the Rams were able to put up points against them.

Is it Latino music? I just thought it was like rap, dance, entertainment music for the generations that are into it.
Yeah, it spans several different genres, but I believe it is still considered Latin music.

Some said it was a boring Super Bowl, but I like watching defense. We've seen so little of it in Green Bay over the years...
Some people aren't entertained unless the teams are running up and down the field scoring, but THAT is boring to me.

Felt like it was over when it was 12-0 (maybe even 9-0). 6-3, 7-6, 3-0 defensive struggles sure would agree since game hinges on a bunch of little things, but this defensive game was boring given it seemed like it was over for 1/2 the game.

Notice how when it was 19-7 Seattle didn’t go into hibernation mode. GB would’ve allowed NE to regain composure and taken this to OT.

Hopefully next year halftime show they have someone I might know.

Would have liked to see something Kpop centric myself. About all I listen to lately due to my daughter. (See has listened to it since 12 and given her autism helps me connect with her since she has no interest in sports)

Call me old, but I'm certain that it is more than that. Today's music artists just aren't as good as the ones from the past. Music is more disposable than ever. And the non-Hispanic was not the target audience in this case.
In what is now a long string of truly horrible SB half-time shows, Bad Bunny's stood out for its overall "awfulness". I couldn't make out a theme and it looked more like a poorly done and far too long music video. I didn't mind that it was in Spanish, but even in a language I don't know well, the music itself was either bad, or hard to hear if it was music, rapping, or just talking (with a swagger).

My two favorite half-time show were the Rolling Stones and Prince (RIP). Prince's performance and the production represented the best half-time show I've seen.

Very interesting comment Fire on communicating through music and song with an autistic child. Thanks!

For that to work, the music has to convey strong emotional appeal. Language doesn't matter as much as the quality of a piece of music and the feeling it gives the audience in their collective soul.

The show last night did none of these things. OMG it was truly horrible, a very bad, long music video, sometimes without the music part.

Now my parents felt the same way about my love of the Rolling Stones in the mid-late 60s. So I'm probably missing something here.

All the best to you and your daughter Fire.

I don't mean to rip on NE (especially prematurely), but they kind of got a free pass into the big game when Bo Nix got hurt.
Agreed. Stidham did play well in Nixon's absence in the AFCCG, but I'm sure it would have been the Broncos in the SB rather than the Pats had Nixon stayed healthy. And it probably would have been a much better game. The game last night was a defense fan's dream. The hags had a great game plan and executed it to near perfection.

Drake Maye is a good QB, but the game was too much for him last night. And Vrable did very little, from what I saw, to alter the game plan. That said, the Pats (like the hags) have a very good D. Walker III was just too much last night, along with dominating defensive play by the hags.

Who is the DC in Seattle? I imagine he'll get a HC job now.

It may have something to do with the big change in the music from the previous generation. Now the change doesn't seem as great. Just kind of tweaking what was before. But rap and the gangster type dancing is basically as before. imho

The Rams were a much better opponent for Seattle. On a neutral field they may beat them. Rams HC had a better game plan offensively. Stafford is clearly at a level that Maye can hope to become 10 years from now.
I bet the rams are at home sick about this. So close ....

Reaping the benefits of the haul they got for trading Russell Wilson. If only Gute had had the stones to ship A-rod off
Kind of remember Rodgers was traded to the Jets. If not for the Achilles injury, the Packers would've gotten a first and a second round pick for a 39 year-old QB. The problem isn't the haul, its that some of the draft capital turned into disappointing draft picks.

The game was a little too fast for Maye. A few poised reads and he could have at least moved the chains and possibly scarped up a few FGs in the first half. His receivers struggled to get open but the Seattle defense covered them long enough for the rush to get home. Vrabel should have gotten him out on the edge more. Sean McVay understands the Seattle D better than other coaches. And he has a QB that knows how to get rid of the ball and where to check it down. Outside of Diggs the Patriot receiving corps is not that good. There is no Nacua. No Adams. No Kupp.

Agreed, Vrabel could see Maye struggling early. That's when you throw in some high-percentage passes and pick up 3 or 4 first downs. I've seen this with MLF as well, where he'll rely on Jacobs, and if the run doesn't work, Love throws deep, sideline passes with a low completion percentage. Then punt.

As for the Seattle D, they don' seem to have one guy who can change things, like Parsons. Instead, they have excellent defensive play calling, and every guy is above average for the position played.

And we got a taste of what very good CB play looks like. I don't remember the hags CB who blitzed at least twice and got home once. And because the CBs are so athletic, they played press and disrupted routes at the LOS. For the Pats, Gonzalez made two, jaw-dropping PBUs'.

CB is the most important position group for Gluten to fix. There are certainly other needs, but none as big as CB.

The CB play was impressive, from both teams.
One of the announcers made a good observation, about how the Seahawks could get great pressure with just their front four, which left seven other players to play coverage. It's the perfect storm for a defense, what more could you ask for?

That's how Philly won last year, with a dominant front four DL. They rarely blitzed, a little different than the hags.

As much as i dislike the hags, it was an impressive performance.
