Well. You got one of them!

Wolfsburg vs Real Madrid
Bayern Munich vs Benfica
Barcelona vs Athletico Madrid
PSG vs Man City

The Bayern USA fans on Facebook are breathing a sigh of relief like this will be an easy match. After the two matches against Juve, I don't think Bayern will have an easy time with anyone coming up in the CL.
Bayern against Benfica, come on
Looking forward for the PSG Man City game, this will be interesting.
BTW - Europa League has also a nice draw - Reds meet BVB so Kloppo is coming home. At least for one game. ;)

I don't want to say anyone is "easy", but Benfica was probably the 2nd best possible draw for Bayern (Wolfsburg would probably be #1).

PSG v Man City is the one I thought seemed most interesting also. Liverpool v BVB will be the best match in the Europa league most likely.

You mean the Juve game ? I wouldnt call this sloppy, Juve has one of the best teams in Europe and definitely were on eye level. And that simply caused mistakes that Bayern usually don't make. Still believe that Benfica or perhaps Volkswagen (@Itkovian, I tempt to agree ) are the weakest teams that are left.

I HATE this argument. They did not score a 3rd goal, they would have scored a 2nd goal. The offsides controversy occurred after the first official goal, and before the 2nd. You can't then automatically assume that Juve would have again scored the second goal, as the entire game changes and a whole new reality is woven.

I know you are a Bayern hater, but please, the refs did not "blow" the game. I'm not saying they had a good game, but I think Juventus giving up 4 goals in 45 minutes, and failing to capitalize on several excellent opportunities had much more to do with the outcome than the officiating.

Of course you hate that argument as it belittle's your win. I watched the whole game and I know what the sequence of goals was. It doesn't matter which goal was disallowed. The point was they scored 3 legitimate goals before 90 minutes while Bayern only scored 2. If you want to argue if that Juve autmotically scoring the next goal isn't reality, then you also can't say that Bayern would've scored 2 at the end if the offsides goal would have counted. So yes, the ref blew the game on a disallowed goal.

Juve gave up 4 goals in 45 minutes... 30 of those minutes that never should've been played.

Had the opposite been true and Bayern had a disallowed legitimate goal, you and Croak would've been belly aching at the ref, but since it went your way.... complete silence... and then after I said something, there ALWAYS excuses. nothing but excuses and theories the game would have gone different. All I'm saying is it just gets tiring.

This post is full of fiction. That's all I'm going to say because there is obviously no point in trying to be reasonable.

Changed my mind, have to defend myself here.

I went back through my posts in the bundesliga thread, and I found a whopping 3 games that I complained about officiating. One of them was a BVB v Ingolstadt game, didn't even involve bayern.

The one game I complained about was Bayern v Leverkusen. That game was an 0-0 draw, and my complaint was how physical the referee let the game get on both sides of the pitch (27 harsh fouls, 2 cards). I did not blame officiating for the outcome, and even praised Leverkusen for befuddling Bayern.

The other time I complained was a goal by Lewy that was incorrectly called offsides . In that case I pointed out that it was the wrong call, but that the other team had played very well and deserved the points.

As for belittling the win....I'M belittling the win! It was a really poor showing for almost the entire game, but champions finish, and Bayern did. I did not feel good coming out of that game.

So, as is my calling card in most everything I write, I've used logic, facts, and reason to prove my point. If you can do the same go ahead.

I already did above, but I'll do it again.

Instead of making excuses, had you just said something like, "yeah, we got really lucky the ref blew that call and Juve deserved the goal and the win", that would have been good. What you gave was nothing but excuses.

You want to see that if that Juve goal was actually allowed, then maybe the 2nd real goal maybe wouldn't have happened. And my response was like, yeah, probably true, but that also means the 2 Bayern goals wouldn't have happened also. When your logic is used against you, you don't seem to like it.

Had the disallowed goal been against Bayern, all of us here would've had to read it... because it went your way, nothing was said. This is absolutely true and doesn't even need to be argued. Everything I said was not conjecture, I just pointed out the facts.

That's not fact, it is speculation. You are taking an action that didn't occur and predicting the future from it. The reason I DIDN'T say Juventus deserved to win is because I have absolutely no way of knowing what would have happened if the goal would have been allowed. It's impossible. You can speculate and run the percentages, but in the end all of it is guesswork. I only know what happened, so that's what I comment on.

And the belly aching continues. All I did was bring up the FACT that Juve scored a clear goal that was disallowed... and here comes the Bayern attacks.

My nerves are a jangling. Sure wish Aguero didn't miss that penalty.

Don't think that PSG is scoring twice within 13 minutes.

I have been a City fan too long to discount the possibility of losing this. Do you remember FC Bayern losing that final in stoppage time?

Congrats City, congrats Real ! Bayern and Barca will follow tomorrow, looking forward to exciting semi finals :)
Indeed congrats to Citeh i did not honestly think they would get by PSG. Makes it more apparent that letting De Bruyne leave was an appaling decision by a certain ex coach..............Muppet
