    Brett Favre isn't available?
Or maybe he turned them down because it's not the Vikings.

If AR has a long term or permanent injury, he should take this job for his own good. If AR will be back at full strength, he should take this job for our sake.

I would rather see McCarthy go to Texas than Gary Anderson from Wisconsin (another name that's been tossed around).

Can't say that I would be terribly upset by a McCarthy departure at this point.

Jason Garrett might soon be available and he wouldn't have to leave the state.

    McCarthy isn't going anywhere.

Jim Harbaugh and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin were already bandied about as possible replacements. Add the Eagles Chip Kelly to the list of speculative names too. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday that Kelly is "prominent" on the Texas coaching wish list.

They have a list...doesnt mean anything at all

    A smart man would leave.

He would be getting several million more, have more job security, and have less oversight from the top over what he does.

there are some HC jobs in the NFL that i would consider lateral moves to a place like Texas, however i can't imagine many people see the HC of the Packers as a lateral move to very many places.
