WELL, I know there is a JINX, but I clearly remember the 1996 season and the lead-into the season, they put us on the cover and proclaimed us as the team to beat.

I think Reggie and Robert Brooks were on that cover? Yep here it is, this was their preseason cover.

OMG,

Speaking of the jinx: that was robert brooks first and only SI COVER ever, and what happened? he tore his ACL early that season and didn't get to play a down in that super bowl.

Reggie and Farve had other covers though, Farve many of them.
Reggie only had a couple I believe, and of course, he died way too young.

Banks is a national writer but lives in madison wi and has a pretty decent grasp on the packers than other national writers.
