Slim pickings for UFA ILB's

Per reports Patrick Willis is retiring

I'd say I'm surprised, but he's been pretty beat up the last couple of years, and maybe decided enough was enough.
I remember reading somewhere from a scout who basically said he wasn't the same guy, and had lost a step.

Surprising, to be sure. Here's what he said when he opted for the toe surgery last November:

"I felt, maybe just give it a couple of weeks but it just didn't get better,'' Willis said. "I feel like I have five or six years left in my body so I have to think about the big picture. I promise you when I come back I will be bigger and better than I was.''

Sounds like a lot more to do with his church than anything injury related.
