I can see Green Bay potentially moving back into the first round similar when they got clay Matthews and raji.. I feel like James would be a good pick I think they like him I don’t want vea our line is solid I really like griffin I think he is obviously a great story but can he play edge so what if he has one hand he can get to the qb and u know damn right he is wrapping him up to.. I think he will go late second early 3rd if he had two hands he would be 1st rounder all day.. imo

Looks good bruh!

Need to get you some classic russet burbanks for your mashers though! ;) Reds are great, but I'm always partial to a RB for mashers.

Were gonna find out soon enough if it was Capers D or Thompson's picks or a combination of both. Maybe Pettine believes he has a warchest of misused or not fully developed talent? God knows we have drafted enough of them on that side of the ball. Things at the moment are so up in the air on our side that depending on what scheme they lean towards(which we don't know) you can pencil in a certain player available or pencil that same player out. It makes it real hard to get excited at this point about a defensive player without knowing what he is gonna be asked to do.

Now if Pettine has a scheme in mind and a certain player drops to 14 that they feel can be a "game changer" in that scheme then go get him. However, recent years have proven that just drafting defensive players with high picks doesn't guarantee the defense will be better.

I've been in the group that believes the players that were drafted on defense just weren't that great, something that Pettine on his own isn't really going to fix through "scheme". The secondary is a mess, the pass rush is reliant on a guy who gets injured constantly (but he'll play through it in a contract year) and two interior pass rushers. The linebackers are, well, let's not go there. I'm not sure how a guy is going to "scheme" that collection of talent into any semblance of decency. The offense, on the other hand, simply needs a competent offensive coach to turn it into an elite unit that can score more than ZERO POINTS in the first half against the Falcons in a playoff game.

I'm personally of the opinion that Landry, James, Jackson, or Smith could be great picks for the defense. I actually think Hurst could be better than all of them but I have no clue what's going on with his heart condition.

Told ya guys you were gonna love this Sutton kid and its just gonna get better. This could get really good. He would be amazing in Green and Gold. The beauty of it is he doesnt have to come in and be the workhorse. I think we could expect to at the very least get some Adams type rookie production. Him working along with Graham in redzone would be a match up nightmare for defenses.

These clips kind of showcase everything he can do which is obviously a lot. We all know he is a big body that can win 50/50 balls but he has the ability to run db's over or juke them in open field. They even lined him up in the "Wildcat". He can even drop dimes as thrower. The guy is a thoroughbred.

I like all those guys but I am a fan of pass rush over great coverage so Landry would be the guy I like the most out of that group. Maybe Hurst if were gonna lean 4-3. Im tired of drafting db's with the top two picks. I hate leaving the games in the balance of db's to begin with and thats coming from a former db. No db out there can cover a guy for too much time with all the rule changes against these prototype receivers and laser arm QB's.

I keep going back to the Seahawks as I lived there due to work during there Super Bowl run years and they shuffled new mid round db's in lineup every year after the loses of Browner and Vernon Maxwell etc etc and didnt miss a beat. They even used Cary Williams one year. Yeah Earl Thomae has range and is smart along with Sherman but pass rush made those guys if you actually go back and watch the games. It was all about disruption up front opposed to coverage sacks. They had 4 guys on the field at all times that could get up field to the QB and disrupt throwing lanes while creating stress on the QB.

To me trying to continue to build the defense from the backend up is a never ending failing challenge.

I like Hurst, but where does he play for us? I think it's too early to spend an early pick on Mike Daniels replacement.
