Often many of us prior to training camp start fleshing out in our heads the roster and where we might see that UDFA slip in or a spot we might still add to and such...what you got?

Excellent job! Your crystal ball is a lot clearer than mine is. We still know that Gute will pull some tricks out of the bag by that time. I don't think we will see Fitzpatrick again unless he heals by November or we lose a couple TEs to injury.

Oh for sure something is gonna happen either injury or another veteran gets added or he might even trade someone away and sign someone. There is one guy id say that contributes this year that isn't here yet.

With Skyy Moore here I honestly think a world exists where Nixon antics might work his way out depending. His edge and playmaker mentality you need but it is a line you have to walk without crossing too much or it can start causing issues.

My guess is that the Packer's eventual 'swing' tackle is not currently on this roster.

Given that brought in a veteran at the backup QB position, I expect them to do the same thing with regard to a backup tackle. I imagine they'll see who's available once the cutdowns begin.

To a point I don't disagree, especially if something happens with Kinnard - who is precisely the type you describe, whether that is through injury or performance.

If you asked me to predict a position which is most likely to see an additional veteran added right this moment I think I'd go:

- DL
- OL
- Edge

I just don't get that feel but you for sure could be right and I'd say I feel is even with Edge as potential. I think they really of course like Jacobs, Brooks is a guy they greatly trust and then you have Lloyd who everyone thinks if he stays healthy can be a legit stud in the NFL...but behind him even we quietly added Damien Martinez who was a 2025 draftee by SEA and Pierre Strong who has been in the league a while and shown promise albeit to be a capable #3 it seems right now.

Is it a lethal room...yes if Lloyd is what folks think...without that I would say it is a capable room for sure, but it likely will be asking A LOT of Jacobs if Lloyd does in fact not play. Brooks I'd love to see handed a series or two more especially in Preseason and see if he can run like he showcased in college where he amassed 2,338 yards over his last three healthy seasons in college averaging 5.15 yards per and chipping in 18 TDs in those years. He also has proven to be decent in the passing game in college as he added those years 395 yards / 7.75 per and 7 TDs.

Brooks is also the best pass blocker on our team NOT an offensive lineman, and yes I'm including even a Tucker Kraft in that. Brooks has put together some of the best pass pro film for running backs I've seen in awhile. Kinda curious how much he might step up if asked to be a teams true #2...but to me we might have one of the best backfields we've seen in GB in a LONG time IF Lloyd stays healthy....I haven't been this excited for our backfield's ceiling since 2020 when we had Jones / Williams and Dillon back there with the bonus of Ervin even then.

I like Savion and Melton. Savion has a lot of good traits, but you see enough of these project players and you know that most will not ever turn into whatever fans and GMs hoped they would be. Melton could be a fantastic 2-way player, but he couldn't get on the field last year as a CB and only saw WR snaps because of the injuries. A good GM is churning the bottom of the roster to find the diamonds in the rough. He doesn't keep looking at the same stone, hoping that it turns into a diamond.

I believe you are talking about the need for a somewhat seasoned player with some NFL proven skills whose experience will pay off in crucial games or in the playoffs. Randall Cobb or Jimmy Graham became one of those even in their later years. Being able to tell your QB what you see out there can payoff. But we have signed a few duds looking to fill a hole as well.

We don't have a pure experience NT - Nazir I argue is only pure, McClellan might be able and Hargrave can but isn't his best spot.

Correct, so that experiment looks to be officially over... I don't believe he played any Defensive snaps, in the Regular season, last year.

I think our depth was very suspect at CB in 2025 and Melton is so darn athletic they used him more as a contingency plan. Now we’ve returned all three 2025 Starters (Slot + Both Boundary). Plus we signed an experienced Veteran (St Juste) then drafted in RD2/RD6. No reason to have that “contingency” option anymore.
Btw Cisse has been getting a mix of 1st Team snaps already.

Actually another guy that’s floating under radar is Jonathan Ford. He played in College at Miami between 333-346lbs and his 6’5.1” Length kept his weight well distributed.

What’s kinda funny is he’s bounced back n forth between Chicago and Green Bay. If we recall he was drafted in the 7th Round by us in 2022 and kept the Miami draft streak alive at #233 overall. After being in GB developing a couple years, Chicago poached him off our PS after he maxed out his elevations. GB kept bringing him back the second Chicago tried to stash him again on PS. It’s been a tug o war either way for the big fella, but I can see where he’d be more mature now.

He’s a guy that could convert to NT more readily than Wooden did coming from 280lb area. Ford has played mostly 3T, but he’s 30 reps strong and can play around 335-340lb no problem. He's got more the size you’d like for Running Downs and actually has a nice punch and push inside that’s a carryover from Miami. He’s also a good tackler.

I don’t pretend to know if he fits with what Gannon has in mind, but he’s a homegrown player drafted by us and now made it to year 5.
