his name is CArlston Brewster, anyone know about this guy. Thompson's smart we traded therrion Fontenot whos been struggling. This guy's had a few grabs in the preseason. Atleast we know Thompson is on the market looking for reciever help.

Not exactly the veteran I was predicting he would bring in but at least it shows he's looking, and that's not good news for Gardner in my mind.

I don't know about the guy but there is a good possibility that he is decent. The Browns have a very strong recieving group with edwards northcutt and jurevicius so the Browns probably thought he was expendable and they needed db help. Perhaps this could be the guy to bump either ferguson or gardner off the team, then again if he doesn't make the team it's no big deal because i don't think anyone expected Fontenot to make it.

sometimes you got to like the undrafted players, has similar size to a Hines Ward. We will have to wait and see.

all about da packers said:
So far in the pre-season, Brewster has 3 catches for 21 yards. Longest reception has been 8 yards.

thats not too shabby for a undrafted Free agent....but somtimes they last longer then a Drafted player.

Some competition at KR for Cory Rodger if he can handle to catch a kickoff unlike rodgers

Camp Fodder probably. I wouldn't be to worried if I were Gardner or Ferguson.

I wouldn't be much worried for ferguson because he seems to be improving but still Gardner isn't stepping up much like he's staying the same and Brewster may be another concern for him, we'll just have to watch.

They may not make the team but it won't be because of this guy, thats what I was trying to say.

Does he (Favre) want some good WRs?

Javon\Driver\Gardner\Boreigter are pretty good(javon is here until further notice)

So we have WRs...oh, and we also have Franks and Lee, who are some of his favorite targets...

for those guys hanging off Gardners balls, better realize that hes a gonner, he sucks, I dont know any other way to explain it. HE JUST SUCKS. I dont know whats wrong with Boerigter, was hoping he would get back on track, I still remember his play 2 years ago. Gardner and Boerigter are gonners, Ruvell Martin looks better, I'm not so sure about Chad Lucas. If either ferguson, jennings or driver go down we might be in trouble. But those are the 3 guys and im confident in them. Ruvell can play, but gardner has his head up his *** just like the rest of the cats here who think this guy has a chance.

Ease up a little bud.

Yeah it's probably trading a player that will get cut for another player that will get cut. No harm no real impact. At the very least it sends the message to the Packers recievers on the bubble Gardner Ferguson and Boerighter that they aren't satisfied with the position and will move on with someone else if they don't pick it up.

Don't expect GB to go out and get a vetern WR. Greg Jennings has had nothing but a great camp and going out and getting a vet, would show no confidence in him as well. Driver, Jennings, and Ferguson are our 3 guys this year. Barring injuries like last year, I wouldn't expect anything more. I believe if they stay healthy it's a huge upgrade over what we had last season. Driver and Chatman for most of the year doesn't really give you many options.

Jennings is still a rookie though, and Ferguson is well...Ferguson.

A savvy vet as an insurance policy would be a good idea.

I'm not saying it would help. I'm saying it would be very different if Jennings was having a bad camp. He's not, he's having one of the best camps so far and is coming off a big game. With his emergance, I really think that makes Lelie or Porter, highly unlikely.

I think this trade is more of a slap in the face too someone like Cory Rogers than it is Ferguson and Gardner. This shows me GB needs a 5th WR. Right now Rogers doesn't look like he's going too cut it and Boerighter in my opinion is going to get cut. I expect 6 too be kept. Driver, Jennings, Ferguson, Gardner, Rogers, and ?
