Hamilton (6-2, 315) is an undrafted rookie out of Louisiana-Lafayette who spent the entire offseason with the Bills before being released at the end of camp.

He was a three year starter for the Ragin' Cajuns and was named second-team All-Sun Belt in 2013 and first-team All-Sun Belt in 2014.

Sorry to see Gaston go. He looked like he could become a decent pass rushing big man.

Somebody liked them some L-L tape...Ringo, Alonzo Harris and now Hamilton.

This would be the Bruce Gaston replacement.

The Packers currently carry only five full-time D-lineman on the active roster (Raji, D-Jones, Guion, Pennel & Daniels), although Mike Neal could line up there in a pinch, so this signing could end up be significant down the road should we have another injury. Josh Boyd is out for the season, and Hamilton joins Christian Ringo as the only D-linemen on the PS.

Seems like a lot of guys from L-L on one roster from a relatively small school.

I have a hard time believing Hamilton will ever get close to seeing the field with the Packers.

@RobDemovsky: The Packers worked out four linebackers today: Justin Anderson (Louisiana-Lafayette), Curtis Grant (Ohio State),... https://t.co/upmO8hjmay

Louisiana-Lafayette may become a farm team for the Packers. The team worked out one of
Their linebackers this week.
