Are you serious? You don't know who Murphy is? He's the fricken CEO

I believe that is a play on words.. in the never ending battle between Deal and Trom.. a verbal flipping the bird to the Favre Firster nickname.

What is this battle you speak of?

Maybe a battle is too extreme.. the sparring maybe. Or at least that is my perception.. possibly incorrectly at that.

Personally.. I would have used a line like that in response to someone coining me as a Favre Firster..

Not that it should matter but I really didnt know Mark Murphy was in Packer mgmt. until yesterday. He doesnt play on the team so its not necessary for me to know who he is.

I dont dislike anyone on here at all. Were all packer fans. But it is fun to go back and forth with some people in dissagreement and some more than others, no doubt about it. If we all thought alike, how much fun would that be? would be no need for a forum really.

You aren't disagreeing you are arguing to feed your ego.

Not knowing who Mark Murphy is, takes away your right to argue Packer football. It's just not possible.

Is this thread even necessary - powers that be?

In De Real's defense, I remember when Murphy played, but not every Packer fan knows everyone in the org. Keep in mind, I may be old enough to be De Real's father. But come on, saying because you don't know who Murphy is doesn't invalidate his opinions on players.

De Real has strong opinion on PLAYERS for the Packers and he's every bit entitled to them, as he obviously knows who plays for the Pack. I've been a hard-core Packer fan since '76 but didn't start knowing people in the organization until this decade and that's only because of the internet. But I guarantee I knew more about James Lofton, John Jefferson, Paul Coffman, and Lynn ****ey more than 90% of fans who knew the names of Organization members.

Better question, who gives a damn about Mark Murphy or what he has to say.

As longtime said ... everybody better care.

I hear you Zombie ... this thread shouldn't even be here. There are plenty of other threads to discuss this in.

The title is mis-leading, and the trolling is getting old.

I watched this statement when Murphy made it and he was coming from the standpoint that there has been no concrete statement by Favre to this point and therefore in his opinion this is just speculation and probably some second guessing by Brett which Murphy thought would be "normal."

Not enough to date to validate serious consideration on the part of the Packers, SO, our position remains as it was the day he retired.

Let's clarify that this is not Packer Management and any final decision on this matter in any way. It was not an organization "position" declaration by any means.

Also according to Aaron Rodgers, packers 2nd string, the Packers are moving on without him

2:50 - 4:00. Oops, you're wrong Aaron. How embarrassing.

hehe 2nd string. Clever.

Too bad Murphy, Thompson, and McCarthy are idiots for handing
the franchise to a 2nd stringer. How stupid are they huh?

They should know better and succumb to the wishwashiness
of a 38 year old QB who may have 2 years and countless more
interceptions left.

They are IDIOTS I tell ya...

Cal... I have an honest question.. when Aaron has his first multiple INT game.. will you be on here to rationally discuss his performance?

*edit.. from pete's sakes I can't type today..

Totally. I'll be the first to criticize him if he fails to meet expectations..
and throws a multiple INT game. I'll say he stunk up the joint!!
I'm not like the Favre fister's who say Brett FOREVER and see no fault in him.

I can find plenty on Aaron to harp over.

Actually Pack93z...I'm not happy w/Aaron abandoning his high ball carry.
He contradicts himself. In articles he says that by lowering his ball carry
he's been able to gain accuracy..at Green Bay.

YET at CAL when he threw for 23 straight completions against USC
he had NO problems w/his accuracy w/the high ball carry.

The reason I BECAME an Aaron Rodgers fan was his high ball carry
delivery. It makes him look like a loaded shotgun ready to fire..
It was so unique, so unusual, and so forward thinking..I thought..

Now that he's lowered the ball carry..to me, he looks like any other
6'2" QB. He still has a very clean delivery and clean ball path...
but the high ball carry made him futuristic.

Not anymore..
