I agree with all that OSchool..but its a small crime TK getting just 2 attempts. Id like to see him getting at least 7-8. Get Kraft going early he a tone setter, good things usaully happen when the ball going his way.

Tucker is a yards after catch nightmare for opposing Secondary. He’s strong and fast at a legit 6’5” 256lb. Plus, Not a guy a 6’0X205lb DB wants to meet playing chicken heading into the Paint. Tucker will gladly accept that challenge just for fun. That Bengals DB is fortunate he held up last second on that TD or he would’ve been on concussion protocol about now Tucker was a little off balance doing it and dragging a player like a locomotive. Turned into a Game wrecker

The heard the officiating crew for the Cardinals game is the top or one of the top crews in penalties called. Could be a long, no flow game, but also hoping Parsons gets a few holding calls in his favor for once.
That is sad because the crew for the Bengals game called some penalties but did not try to flood the field with yellow.

Teams are happy to take 7 to 10 yard passes in the middle of the field all the way down the field, especially to the TE. Where is Wayne Simmons when you need him? I remember when he'd line up over the TE and totally disrupt his break off the LOS. Today's game just isn't as physical as it used to be.
LaPorta with Detroit is difficult to cover. He disguises his blocking and knows where Goff will find him. Yes, Wayne Simmons, we need you.

If Love has the time and the receivers get separation he goes downfield to his wide outs. In a game such as Cleveland where none of that was happening he needed to get the TEs more involved.

Yes. In that Cleveland game we were almost stubborn level trying to run. Yet our blocking wasn’t good and this was 1 of the top front 7 Defenses in the league. Browns are not a team you pound into submission in the Run game.
In hindsight, we should’ve reeled in the 31 rushing attempts to around 18-22 rushing attempts tops. Mixing in more passes to the TE, who saw 6 total targets. That should’ve been 10-12 targets to TE’s. Plus Josh had 9 targets which was good. We didn’t throw to any other RB’s though. Perfect game to get Emmanuel or Price 4-5 targets. Hindsight is 20/20

This is old news. Parsons' complaint about the league favoring offense over defense is like complaining that news networks have political biases. We all know this, it's not how it should be, but complaining about it is pointless.

If Micah Parsons and others really want to do something, they need to work with the union during CBA negotiations to make real changes.
This is like talking to my wife. A very true and thoughtful answer to a question I didn't ask, ala how to get the opposing offenses to play by the rules. What I did ask is that, if they can't solve the problem of teams violating the rules with impunity against Parsons, how much difference does it make where he plays?

I'm with you 100%, I hate flag fest games. like I said in my post you quoted, the game has no flow, but I also don't like teams getting away with egregious penalties, while other teams get ticky- tack calls made against them. Not calling legit penalties, also effects a game, and the outcome.

Look at the Chiefs/Lions game backlash... KC didn't have 1 penalty called on them, not 1, and there were plenty that could have been called. We all know KC is the new moneymaker for the NFL, and another loss by the leagues "darling team" puts them in a little hole to climb out of. I call bulls**t on that officiating crew, and I'm really questioning whether that specific games outcome wasn't influenced in one way, shape, or form by either the odds makers, the NFL, or both.

You can never go wrong making it a point to feature Kraft & Doubs early to soften the field. Both have good hands and run excellent routes that are in tune with what Love sees on the field. Also sprinkle in some short passes to Jacobs and you're going to loosen up that defense, forcing them to keep linebackers at home instead of being tight on the LOS.

When you see them moving off the LOS, turn the running game loose and enjoy what happens. It will create more opportunities for the other receivers on the team because it will freeze the linebackers.

On defense, pass rush, pass rush, pass rush, and if it's Murray, put a spy on him to make sure he doesn't play happy feet against you. If it's Brissett, pin your ears back and try to have group meetings at the QB because he isn't too good under pressure. He makes a lot of fall-away passes when he's rushed and those lead to INTs. How well the pass rush is doing should dictate the majority of how you play defense. If the 4 man rush is getting through, play zone with the linebackers having those short zones to patrol more in man, and if that rush isn't there, create a rush utilizing one or more of the linebackers.

No doubt Parsons is going to see a lot of playing time with Van Ness out. He needs to be moved around to insure he can stay strong during the entire game. If possible, utilize another player to spell him and Gary, even though I'm not quite certain whom Hafely sees as that candidate. It might well be Cooper even though it seems a bit remote.

They also need to deal with Arizona's heat better than they did in Dallas. The forecast is for 88 degrees and sunny, much warmer than 50s and 60s they are used to in Green Bay right now.

As with every game, build a lead and then run the ball down their throats (though still relatively balanced) to keep our defense rested and ready for the 4th quarter. Control the game as you perfectly stated.
One can handle 88 degrees and no humidity better than if the dew point is high.

If you go to a Cowboy forum and read posts when Parsons played for them you'd be hearing this same refrain. I can't believe Jerry didn't raise a stink about this issue a long time ago so you have to wonder why Micah isn't getting the calls other top EDGE guys get.

Going to the game!!

Never been to a packer game out of Lambeau
Enjoy it! I've seen Packer games in so many different venues. Each experience is different. In some you need to just ignore the comments made by people and walk away from the drunks. In others, you'll find the people inviting and friendly. Seeing as how you're down in Arizona, it's a melting pot of people and I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised at how many Packer fans will be there and you'll meet.

If you're relocating to that area, or becoming a snowbird, you'll meet a lot of people you can interact with on game days in the future. It can be a great experience.

Yes. Tell me a team plays a perfectly clean game.

You guys are nuts. Wayne Simmons kinda sucked in coverage.

Brian Williams, and Koonce where much better in coverage then him but even still in those days if they ran into a receiving TE they tended to just have Butler shadow him

Why you guys think Simmons was useful in coverage I dunno. That was the worst part of his game

One good thing in GB is we have good depth at Edge/DE. I feel totally comfortable having Micah, Gary, Enagbare as our top 3.
Actually Kingsley “JJ” has been rising and had a good 2024. Then he backed it up with a great Preseason but we were so thick in depth he’s barely logged 25% snaps. I expect he’ll be fine, as a contract year player he might even be motivated to take opportunity to shine. This game could go a long ways to earning a multi-Million dollar deal somewhere or even a potential trade offer.

Koonce and Williams did a good job going sideline to sideline. But the Simmons praise has been continual since he played. In fact, the first time I realized his prowess was when the late John Madden made a special effort to give credit to Simmons during the playoffs of that SB 31 season. And I also read about it in the old Packer Report during the 90s. That attention is very hard to get amongst all the stars of the league leading defense in 1996. But Simmons got it.

I do not feel too good about this game. The Bengals had lost 4 straight and responded to some extent against Pittsburgh. Arizona is in a similar situation but are a better team than Cincy with injuries like the Packers. They will be playing with a lot of frustration Sunday. You can bet the animosity will show up. The young Packer team will have to match their intensity. MLF has got to be fiery. The game may come down to penalties.
