If we win this game, it will silence a lot of doubters.
This is basically the same team that should have won the Championship last year. My problem lies with the up and down level of performances this year--on both sides of the ball. I'm putting it on the coaching staff. IF we were to win Sunday, I'll put it on the coaching staff, and hope that they found something (I think line play) on which to ride into the playoffs. Rogers was unconscious in the run to the Championship in 2010, and much of it was the offensive line play, imo. Same thing could happen this season.

I don't see this game going well for the Packers. The Packers defense gives up points in chunks against good quarterbacks. This wouldn't be such a big problem if the offense was even average. This is the sort of game that looks unwinnable with the way the Packers are playing. Of course, there's always the hope the offense wakes up....

Watching the Cardinals through this winning streak makes me wonder how anyone can beat them. That is why it would take a team like Carolina to make it a good matchup. If Seattle plays to its capability they can do the same. The Vikings gave them all they could handle. But they have AP which makes defenses focus on more than the QB. The Vikings did not take advantage of the loaded box as they should have except on a few drives. And if they could have avoided the turnovers they may have had a victory. For the Pack to have any chance they will have to put up some big points like the 2009 playoff game. My fear is that we will go into shock like we did against Denver when we see their team speed and quickness in person.

Here’s McGinn’s scouting report on the Cardinals. Not surprisingly there’s not much good news for the Packers in it. He lists their punter as their weakest link: He’s 29th and 32nd in gross and net yards. Let’s hope he gets a lot of work on Sunday.

Many of us know about HC Arians taking over for Pagano in Indy, but I didn’t know this: Arians is 62 and has the oldest staff in the league. As McGinn writes, when he got his shot with the Cards, he pledged to do it his way. “Three of his hires were retirees thinking they'd never work again.” Tom Pratt, the pass rushing specialist is 80 years old. Tom Moore the assistant HC on offense is 77, and Larry Zierlein the assistant OL coach is 70.

McGinn’s review of the last game and scouting report on the next opponent columns are must-reads for me. If any of you are feeling overconfident, here’s the “cure”: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/arizonas-playmakers-tough-to-stop-b99638943z1-363335811.html

It's David and Goliath, somewhat. 10-4 isn't something overlook. I guess we just have to go into this one on blind faith and loyal green and yellow hope.

These type of games make great victories when we are the underdogs. Have hope but be realistic my Packer brothers and sisters

If we win this game and look good, I'll rekindle my Super Bowl aspirations. If we lose, then I'll enjoy the final few games but not expect much and then look forward to next year.

It won't rekindle my SB hopes, but I'd be happy to see real progress and answers to the problems that have dogged this team for over 2 months. Even playing well and losing a close one would show me something.

I'm going with the theory that the game plans are to just get through the season working on various facets of the team trying to find strengths to be used. When the playoffs start, the entire playbook is used and the true Packers team shows up.

At some point (perhaps only in my mind and heart, but anyway)...at some point, this team is going to play as the team many of us (and many in the sports world) thought they were back when the season started. Why not now? Better to get hot at this point than too early. At some point Can newton is going to be the Cam newton he has normally been in the past. I'd rather be the team no on is watching closely, as long as we are in the playoffs. Beat the Cardinals? Why not. As good a time as any and if e play them again, beat them then too.

Enjoy the game guys. Don't assume the game is already lost because. Don't forget to enjoy the ride, the destination will be much more sweeter. The game is played on the field and we've all seen crazy things happen again and again. We are a spoiled fan base that has had a great opportunity to constantly go to the playoffs. Imagine if we had a team like the Jaguars

I can't see us beating the Cards. We have to play a near perfect game, and with the passing attack struggling, and running game hit or miss most weeks...if we get down early it could get ugly quick. I pray I'm wrong.

Their offense likes to air it out, if our dbs play opportunistic then they should be able to come away with a pick or two, I've seen Palmer throw it up for his wrs to make plays on questionable passes more than a few times this year. Their run game doesn't scare me a ton because a lot of their run production comes off of broken plays or missed assignments, they don't run it consistantly imo...Offensively we need to utilize play action because their defense is pretty aggressive. Honestly I would run crosses and play action, with the run mixed in all game, take a deep shot here and there. If we win the turnover battle and time of possesion, it's a winnable game. If we don't control the ball with short passes, running, and play action, it could be a long day, Arizona puts up points in bunches. It's going to come down to McCarthy's offensive gameplan.

Good game plan. We can also take a page out of the Vikings book when they played the Cards. Utilized the play action and threw to the tight end or FB. Of course when you have Adrian Peterson in your backfield it makes defenses forget everything else. If it were not for their turnovers the Vikings win that game.

How can we take a page out if the Vikings gameplan? They have a guy named Adrian Peterson who can take over a game and open things for the passing game. We don't.

No. But we have a guy named Eddie Lacy who can do the same.

But TJV, you worship the very ground that McGinn walks on. ;) McGinn is responsible for Mike McCarthy not getting a decent night's sleep in 10 years.
