Mayock had him as his 95th rated prospect so late 3rd. Other places have him as low as 6th. Very different views on this guy

Yup. Good size and Shorter arms and will translate to OG much better. Pretty typical Packers oline guy.
Actually not typical..

I'm. Hearing his agility and athleticism is less than what the Packers have drafted in the past

Interesting because the write up on ESPN said he excels in pass blocking but needs to get stronger and better in the run game. If we are drafting him as a guard, hopefully he can develop that strength.

This is the first pick from west of Iowa. Very un-Ted like, a guy who loved him some PAC-12.

I had him as a 6th on my board. But how do you skip Wyatt Teller, Colby Gossett, and Skyler Phillips for this guy? I'm calling definite reach. I think this WAS TT's pick.

That's probably fair compared to the most notable OT-to-OG conversions:

Cole Madison: http://nfldraftscout.com/position-rankings/ 4.88 shuttle, 7.86 cone, 2.98 20 yd. split, 8' 1" long jump

Josh Sitton: http://draftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=16428&draftyear=2008&genpos=OT 4.50 shuttle, 7.55 cone, 2.96 20 yd. split, 9' 0" long jump

D.J. Lang: http://draftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=79362&draftyear=2009&genpos=OT 4.42 shuttle, 2.97 20 yard split

His athletic measurables are closer to Lane Taylor's, a guy who played OG in college: http://draftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=84598&draftyear=2013&genpos=C

Not super in love with Crosby, not sure why he's falling, but as a value pick sure, I got no qualms.

Because a whole bunch of guys who do nothing but scout college players for a living had him higher than all of them on THEIR board.

I mean, this is a pretty typical GB pick. Athletic college OT who slides to G to alleviate some issues playing outside. Not the strongest, probably not a good run blocker, plus pass blocker. That's a Packers lineman to the tee.

Yep. And the good news is we have an elite OL coach. Think this will end up being a good pick.

Madison will be an interesting case study as he’s doesn’t fit the athletic type.
