Where can I find the documentary on the '82 Brewers?
"Just a bit outside, " I believe it's called.

Gotta love me some Harry Doyle (Bob Uecker).

I imagine it will be available on a streaming service soon.

Wow!

If you haven't seen the Short Film "Two Distant Strangers", on Netflix, really worth a watch.

Some powerful 29 minutes of film making!

This the one where his character spits chewing tobacco and hits a dog between the eyes? I've seen them all, but after a while they all run together ... can't tell where one stops and the next begins. Love those movies...
Kinda like Taylor Swift, almost.... I have a strong suspicion that she's only ever written one song in her entire life, and she just keeps singing it over and over again with a different tune. But her fans don't know the difference.

Edit: it suddenly dawned on me that I just compared Taylor Swift to Clint Eastwood. On a sports forum populated by middle-aged to older men who are football fans, and therefore probably Clint Eastwood fans.

And not a single Taylor Swift fan in the room (although I guess if there was a Taylor Swift fan here, they wouldn't like it very much either...)

I may never recover from this....

Man, that looks solid! I never even heard of that; how did you find it? Just trip over it while channel-surfing?

We don't have Netflix at the moment, but I'm sure Amy can pirate it without too much trouble. Thanks for the heads-up. Sounds like terrific writing.

I was looking through Netflix's "Award Winners" when I found it. I try to avoid reading stuff about a film, before watching it. I want to go in with a clear mind and knowing as little as possible about the film.

I have to say, one of my favorite short films.

Relatively simple, but just a really powerful message.

Time to dust off this thread.

I am currently watching a Netflix series called "Money Heist". If you like the Oceans 11 movies, you will like this. At times I ask myself "How are they going to do 41 episodes around this?", but I am almost done with Season 2 and can't wait to start season 3.

Top 4 reasons . . .

1. It's fun
2. It organizes your thoughts
3. Makes referencing for discussing easier
4. Reminds me of simpler times and David Letterman

After reading these old posts I just realized the correct answer to "Why do you young guys like making lists?", should have been; "Because some day we get as old as you old guys and can't remember a thing!"

I'm thinking that would be any post.

I'm trying it with LTF in the "Post a Joke" thread. It took me almost 17 years to get it LTF! :)

Watched The Lost Room again. Probably the best sci-fi mini series nobody has ever heard of.

Low budget, no fancy CGI, just driven by some good acting, fantastic plot and gripping screenplay.

If you're a fan of sci-fi, this is a must watch.
