BECAUSE MOCKS ARE NEEDED AND NECESSARY

1A: Brian Burns, EDGE, FSU: This really depends on his weight, but he's a stud edge. I'd be happy with him, Clelin Ferrell, Jachai Polite, or Josh Allen.

1B: Nasir Adderley, SAF, Delaware: I'm telling you, this guy reminds me of Nick Collins. Small school and all. He might not be here tbh.

2. Dalton Risner, OG/OT, Kansas State: Gritty, versatile, good.

3. Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford: I'm already getting tired of describing guys.

4a. Idk. Andre Dillard, OT, Wazzu

4b. Idk. Pick an available iDL with some twitch to him.

Nothing else in the draft really matters after the 4th round. It's even more of a crapshoot than the draft already is.

I have spoken. Let it happen.

Nobody I dont like.

And you think White is too early? I guarantee he will be taken before Burns. Burns is good and intriguing. He just needs to add some weight and strength to his frame. If he keeps his athleticism, then he could be very good. That's too many ifs for a 14th pick. There are several OLBs at his level, polite, Sweat, and Clellin. One of which we could grab if we moved back 6 or 8 picks.

I think Josh Allen is the best OLB for the Packers, but he will be gone in top 5. Although Bosa is a better pass rusher, Allen may be better at everything else. Pass defense, rush defense, and still a pretty good pass rusher.

Maybe White will be taken earlier than Burns, but I wouldn't. He's not the type of OBLB that I would take top-15...I mean, he would've been the number 3 or 4 OBLB in the draft last year. He's good, just not that good to me.

Now I would agree that Polite and Ferrell are at a similar level to Burns, but not Montez Sweat.

Bosa is a better pass rusher, better run defender, the types of things that matter at that position. Yes, Allen is more versatile...but quite frankly, I don't give a damn how versatile my edge rusher is. Get to the QB. That is what matters. And that's why I would take a pass rusher over an OBLB. They impact the game more.

Yeah, I do get it. I prefer the all around guy much more than the specialist. Make sure we force those 3rd and longs to begin with. I see Matthews in this light. He gets up field quickly, but often ends up running past the ball carrier. I know Bosa is better than Clay, but it's just the idea.

But I do think this would be a successful draft if it falls this way.

The major problem with Burns is his weight. He is 6'5" and weighs 235 lbs. He has the frame to add more weight, but at what cost? He has always been light on his feet, but how will that play against the OT's of the NFL?

I'd much rather go heavy on the offensive side of the ball. Get a 1st round OT, a first round WR or TE, and then look at OG or the missing WR/TE in round 2. If Gute has done his job in FA with getting some of the available defensive players that could help this team... start gathering the makings of a dynamic offense to go along with our new head coach.

Our draft will be very much determined on whom we bring in to coach. If it is McDaniels... we will be drafting heavily on the offensive side of the ball early.

Seems to me that with Kyler Fackrell playing reasonably well (not calling him great, please note), the real need is for a more traditional edgr rusher who can play with a hand down as well as standing up, can handle contain responsibilities in the running game, and can beat tackles one-on-one in the passing game. All of that to me points to Clelin Ferrell over guys like Burns, Allen, or Polite.
