Same with getting Cobb back. I have no worries with him stepping right back on to the field. Billy Turner is really the only other guy that should be coming back, but we haven't heard much on. Out of all the returning injured players that are coming back, he will probably be the least needed, but still nice to have.

To end the season with only 3 starters, Jenkins, Tonyan and Merciulus, still on IR, is pretty damn good, especially considering where we were 6 weeks ago.

My vote....keep the new IR and PS rules in tact moving forward!

I see Z coming in strictly on passing downs while Jaire will probably play slot on passing downs. They will certainly help in the pass defense but have little or no impact on the run defense other than to give Smith and Gary a breather or two. At this point, I think the best role for the offense is to get Turner back in at RT and have Myers play center so Patrick can play RG. Is Bahktiari ready? If he was so tired after 27 snaps yesterday that he had to leave the game, it tells me he probably won't be able to go 100% on 65 to 70 snaps two weeks from now. Tough decision. Maybe Nijman and Bahtiari can play every other series and both guys can stay fresh?

Bakh will start and will only come out if needed. I would bet my house you will not see a flip flopping back and forth on purpose between Yosh and him.

I'm curious as well when it comes to how they'll start introducing these guys back into the lineup. You can't just throw the guy off to the side who's carried the water for you for a large part of the season. They need to be structured into the rest of the games moving forward.

This is where coaches can have a massive impact on the psyche of the players. Doing this right makes them all happy, gives them more confidence, and makes them more competitive.

Why cant you? Bak is better than Njiman. Alexander is better than any CB on the team. You play your best players. It would be stupid not to.

He has 2 more weeks to get in better game shape. I imagine he was also on a snap count and was nearing that. I'm just glad that the knee seemed to hold up. The OL should be in great shape both with starters and with depth. Another great year for OL depth! Stenavich really needs to be included in coaching awards, he seems to get the most out of all his guys. I think it also helps when you have a QB with Rodgers talent at reading defenses and sensing pressures.

Think about the preseason. A lot of these guys saw very limited, if any, reps in the preseason and they were just fine, set aside the ugly loss against the Saints. :)

This isn't a case of guys like Jaire and Z Dog being yanked off of a couch, that they have been lounging on for months. I am guessing that most of these guys have done things to stay in good shape.

If anything, the guys who have been playing all season long are a bigger concern with all their aches and pains that they are playing through.

Also, I doubt any of these guys returning from IR have forgotten how to play the sport they have been playing for the last 10+ years of their lives.

Agree with this. The O-line looked better with AR12 behind center. He knows enough to audible out of bad situations or just go with the hard count and call a TO.
Yup. It isn't talked about enough how Rodgers can make an OL look really good. We talk about that with receivers, but not the OL. Too many times I see Love get himself into a situation that Rodgers wouldn't have gotten himself into. Now yesterday, Love was also playing with a lot of backups on the OL and at receiver, so its hard to be too critical.

Slow the roll here buddy. Nobody said you don't play them. You need to ease them back into the lineup, not throw them in and send the other guy to the bench to just sit. Even the village idiot understands that.

Z will likely turn into a pass rush specialist if he plays. I am definitely concerned about throwing Jaire out there with no game action for several months, especially at that position. Is he in shape? Has he been covering? Maybe Davante can whip him into shape.

I think Bahk will only come out, once the Packers are up by 35 in the 3rd Q. ;)

If BakhT held up and no set backs from his play yesterday I have no doubt he is our starter going forward. Same for Meyers

As far as the Douglas/ Alexander dilemma is concerned…. IF Alexander is 100% and in game shape…. there is absolutely no question he is the better corner and should be starting. But that is a big if. I suspect there will be some back and forth to start … Douglas is a good corner but he doesn’t have the speed that Alexander has. Teams avoid throwing at him…. Douglas is a ball hawk, but he can still be beaten.

The coaching staff will have the guys returning playing on snap counts in some cases.

Again, a good problem to have. I think when there are 3 CB's on the field, we see a combo of Stokes, Jaire, Douglas and Sullivan. If there are only 2, makes sense to have just Stokes and Jaire out there. Whatever ends up happening, Barry will have more and better moving parts to work with on defense, I am pretty excited to see what he does with them.

They are saying Z is practicing this week, MLF says conditioning is the major factor contributing if he will play or not.

Good God, no! I've been yelled at by people out here who think these guys shouldn't be on the field all the time! God forbid that they need to get back in shape, under game conditions, so you need to keep using the guys who have been filling in! LeFleur needs to be fired immediately! Gut that entire coaching staff! We have plenty of posters ready to step in. :)

I'm thinking Zadarius can help out against the run from the inside also. I wonder if he'll be able to go all game long but I wouldn't mind seeing the big three in at the same time a bunch.
