Not enough hotel space and convention spaces within 100 miles of Lambeau to handle all the things that go with a Super Bowl. Media, NFL bigwigs, celebrities, other elite wannabees.
I feel that's a good thing.
Keep the dirty trash out of Green Bay.

Something like getting the flatlanders/Da Bears fans to clean up Wisconsin's north woods after
a weekend from their $150000 boats and trucks.

So, Packer Fans Question:

We can host the Draft Green Bay put not a Super Bowl ? WTF
Well, nothing is impossible. Who would have thought 70 years ago that we would have all the replay, games played on M-W-Th-F, or kickers making 60+FGs?
Or 33 yard extra points?
Now 100 years from now there could be a dome. And there could be more hotel space. And all of us will still have our own Packer Forum up and beyond that Tundra in the sky.

Didn't the Draft prove that the hotel space issue isn't really an issue? Way more people (reportedly) were in Green Bay that weekend than would ever be for a Super Bowl. All of the media stuff can easily be done in various locations.

The big issue is the weather. They wouldn't get Beyonce, Bad Bunny, or many of the A-list celebrities to show up except for Willem Defoe and Tony Shalub.

Probably not 'acceptable' hotel space. For the peasants that go to the draft the local Super 8 is fine, but for the celebrities that just go because they want to be seen and don't know the difference between a baseball or football they need luxury.

The Ice Bowl halftime entertainment was, of course, cancelled. But the Dec. 31, 1961 Championship Game at Lambeau featured a college band with a few majorettes trying to shrug off the cold. Even did a rendition of the " Twist " to get the freezing fans to heat up.

Wasn't the big thing the Majorette throwing the bataan up really high?

Good Point.
SB is turning out to be fashion statement by watching the game without a coat and hat.

Lucky you. You could afford peanuts. I'm still kicking the same can down the road. I wonder if the tin inside has value? Not like the plastic sprayed inside the newest ones.
