If I am another team, thinking about possibly signing JA, and saw his fathers interview, my offer just dropped substantially. No need to bring that kind of drama/cancer into a team when you have 90 guys giving it their all and fighting for a spot on the roster.

I don't mind some sass on the field, but I have seen interviews with JA, he thinks that he's god's gift to football and his own fecal matter doesn't stink. Next up!
Although I agreed with you. You never know. Jennings sister opened her mouth a lot. That didn't stop the Vikes from signing him.

I'm not saying that a team won't sign JA, I am saying what they are willing to pay might go down now. JA is a talented NFL CB, when he is healthy. However, having a family member jumping in with comments like those that his Dad made, can't sit well with other organizations. That said, there is ZERO doubt in my mind that unless JA suffers some kind of major injury, a team will sign him and his contract will be bigger than some would guess.

Jennings shut down his sister when she started making negative comments about Rodgers. I don't remember all the details, but I don't think it had much to do with her trashing the Packers.

Holy cow. I had presumed he'd get quite the signing bonus--either he'd get the same salary as we had him for or he'd fail a physical. This in between contract is not what I would have guessed.

Given the salary I have to assume that either one or both parties had absolutely no interest in continuing the relationship.

I 100% would bet my house on the fact that Gute/Ball offered him a contract that when the season was done would have paid him DOUBLE that amount if he just stayed healthy for the most part.

Totally agree! Guessing JA's line in the sand with GB was MUCH higher than Ravens deal & that JA lost a lot of money in the last week. Can't fix stupid...smh.

So the most he can earn with the Ravens is $6 mil? He most certainly was offered more by GB. It seems that JA was just done with GB. I think he found the market for his services to be a lot less than he thought.

CBS also reported that he had better offers but wanted to play with Jackson. Yeah, right.

We did have to pay salary of what..$20M? I guess he was looking at this as gravy. And maybe nobody offered him more? Ravens are good and I guess he went to school with Lamar

The Packers don't owe Jaire any more money, they only have to account for the unaccounted cap money.

Oooooohhh....didn't think about that angle.
I got tickets to the Steelers at Bears because there's no way I'm missing that but seeing Alexander picking him off a couple times would be very nice also!!!!!

Very likely you are correct. There must've been real bad blood between him and the FO. The Ravens got him on the cheap.

Jaire comes back to Green Bay to play against us on December 27th... as long as he's healthy. I hope there are more cheers than jeers for him when he returns.
