One thing I see here is that Ted often moves back for more middle round picks and he won't have to worry about that this year. The guy is a middle round guru.

This is like letting Tiger Woods play from the women's tee's. He's going to kick some but in April.

Good "catch" warhawk. Thompson has three of the 11 picks from #123 to #133, right in the middle of the draft. That got me wondering how he has used picks in that range in previous drafts. In 7 drafts he's only exercised two in that range; Brady Poppinga at #125 in his first draft as GM and Davon House at #131 in his most recent. He's traded three picks in that range, all three times trading down. A couple of picks were close to that range - in 2010 he used #122 and another pick to trade up to grab Morgan Burnett and in 2008 he drafted Josh Sitton at #135.

"Having" to pick at #132 and #133 may make using #123 in a trade more likely. According to one trade chart Thompson could use that pick and #90 to move up about 10 spots in round three (from pick #90). Add their 5th rounder and he could move up about 15 spots in the third. Worth it? Obviously depends on who is there so who knows? The only thing we know for sure is he'll be selecting two players back-to-back at the end of the fourth round. Can't wait. Let's hope for at least one Josh Sitton-like player at any position.

ESPN says Poe's status has fallen. I could see him as a JPP player. Ingram won't be there at 28 but Perry might. I'm sure Clay would enjoy having another Trojan on the team.
