I read an article in The Athletic yesterday - proclaiming the 2027 draft as very rich in talent. I don't do scouting and I don't watch a ton of college ball.

So just curious who you think would be a good candidate for the Packers, without a first round selection. Thanks all!

RB is probably the deepest and thickest position groups throughout. Especially in the middle rounds. It might even be why GB ignored the position. If we go in with 11 draft picks we’re highly likely to draft a RB and possibly 2 bodies unless Marshawn rises in a big way.

WR is often a thick grouping, but 2027 might be one of those once in every 5 years best of all options drafts. I saw one list 15, RD3-4 graded prospects alone. It’s also the cleanest (defined) Position group at the top without much hesitation.

Edge is one of the stronger groups on Defense. The broader strength grouping appears to be the DL, but Edge is what seems to be bolstering the larger category grouping.

Thanks OS. Well it’s a good draft to have 11 picks. Fortunate that RB is strong. Even if Jacobs plays this season, Gluten will need to be looking for his eventual replacement.

Yes. It would also be highly irregular to skip on RB after not drafting one in 2026.

I did find it interesting they brought in his younger brother, Isaiah Jacobs for a Mini Camp tryout. He’d be a long shot to make the team though.
