Just opening a thread to accommodate more recent observations. If there is a thread started I didn’t see it in searching so I apologize ahead of time.

Cisse and St Juste rolling as the #1’s as Nixon is coming off some tightness.

Jonathan Ford and Sorrell both making impressive Run Stops. Ford is back in house and making a desperate push to stay on the 53. Stackhouse had better be careful

#9 just absolutely blows by #24 Valentine on a deep slant for an easy TD. Valentine was no match for that type speed. Better throw by Love he didn’t double hitch he plants and smooth release in perfect placement in stride. Just almost indefensible level play.

Heard good things about Watson and Golden so far. Marshawn Lloyd looks good too, knock on wood. Also Neyor seems to still be making plays every day.

Also heard Melton was playing with the CBs on the 2nd or 3rd practice. That still happening? If so I believe GB brass realized that with Neyor entering the equation, Melton might be earning his spot on the 53 either way CBs again?

Nixon miraculously healed his hammy. Valentine left practice yesterday. Hopefully no long term problems there. St-Juste, and Rookie Cisse both look capable of pushing the starters for their jobs.

Kraft off pup early, Hadden back yesterday after the bad ankle injury. Wyatt, Banks, A.K.A Tom , all ready for start of season.

Good report.
The more and more I think about it. There’s about 20 teams that have the talent or coaching mix to Win a Super Bowl. It all comes down to injuries and one of them getting hot at the right timing.

I noticed how Greenbay has been strategically working away from the old school, play until the wheels fall off mentality.

The GB brass realizes there’s no trophy for regular season champion.

The way they handled Lloyd this year, with the slow ramp up, and taking precautionary days off early on!?!? That’s ground breaking. And the results are that GB has a new secret weapon still healthy and playing great, entering the pads portion of camp.

I’m guessing we will also be giving the veterans their time to recuperate if there’s any nagging injuries, in the same gesture. Sometimes 4 months isn’t enough time to heal and safely get back to form, without grinding gears and shortening the life of the engine. So to say.

I seen Clowney got picked up by the Texans this weekend. So he is off the list. But I always have an eye out for those former all pro- blue chip guys who are past their prime but still producing above average. looking for respect from a new home. Make no mistake, it’s mainly about respect and how they go out of the league on their own terms. If they get to this point of their career.
One thing I’ve learned is you don’t bet against the former all pros they have a way of making you pay for under estimating them.
Giving them some special treatment is the key to their success in many cases. They have played their whole career in that old school grind the gears way. And as soon as their wheels don’t spin smooth anymore, they’re sent to the glue factory.
IMO, all they need is that time off. Limited reps, and put in a position to come in fresh, at the end of season, and playoffs. The muscle memory takes over and they feel so good in the moment that they forget they aren’t an all pro anymore.

The old school wouldn’t allow special treatment though. So the recipe wasn’t right and those former all pros would grind those gears all camp and season. And be broke down by the time playoff came.

Anyways. I like the thoughtful, strategic approach, in spite of the old school. I think we will see dividends.

This team is so stacked I have a hard time finding a roster spot to use on a free agent, unleee there’s an injury.

The OL continues to be a concern based on initial observations of those reporting. Not a surprise as they were thin and did little to upgrade an already suspect OL.

I don’t know how you can upgrade your LT with a 2024, Day 1 selection and say we haven’t did little to change. That alone could be a substantial move for any team. Would a 2026 Top selection make everyone warm and fuzzy? Isn’t that what we put at Tackle?

To this juncture, Zach is arguably our best OL. Yet he only played 10 games in 2025 with at least 60% snaps, several of those he limped through the finish, literally. Go watch the Pitt game he could barely run. That was the lowest snap count (609) for Zach since his 483 snap Rookie season. If he can just get back to 15-17 games area, that’s a huge improvement all by itself.

We pulled Sean Rhyan over to Center to Start our 10th contest last year.
Six games (he sat out the last week regular season) is not an ideal way to grade a player imo. His natural fit was RG and he had very little time to prepare or adjust. He did ok considering that change, but having an entire offseason to learn the nuances of Center is likely to make a noticeable difference for any player imo.

Anthony “pancake” Belton is talented, but he got 6 Starts to learn RG as a Rookie. He played in 9 games but 95 snaps were at RT, LT. Thats a lot of movement for a young player. Plus not even his natural position as “Escalade” played Tackle all through college.

We’ve got to give guys more than 6 or 7 games at a position in a career before we condemn them. You don’t just keep switching players like a turntable, continuity is a big part at OL. We’re involved with 3 additional OL draft picks in 2026 + 4th (Morgan) as a presumed Starter.

RD5 Monk has been filling LG1
RD5 Burton both Guard spots
RD6 Glover
RD7 Williams

Plus Burton has been one of the more impressive Rookies early in, so I’m not sure where you’re getting the information that we’re so suspect. Defenses almost always start faster in the first week.
Once that O gets rhythm they’ll even the score.

The biggest unknown is our left side. I hope that Morgan will be the guy, but who knows. I hope that Banks can stay healthy AND play well, but who knows. I don't trust the depth at either of those positions. Belton is a question mark too, but I liked him last year and he has game experience. IMO - Rhyan looked his best when we moved him to Center. The only proven player on this line is Zach Tom.

Of course, when I looked at the Packers Depth chart on ESPN, look at who they have as our starting RT:

I wouldn't worry about it. If this Bako-Bewele guy is better than Tom, we're in great shape.

I have no interest in Clowney. He's a cancer on a team. Glad the Packers didn't go after him.

Texans D is better than when we faced them in 2024. They are bent on winning the AFC against Buffalo, NE, and Denver.

Yea I’m not in tune to any of that info. Just looking at names and numbers.

Are there any free agents who would be good influences?

Is Cameron Jordon still available?

Agreed, they were one of the best in the league last season. I still have no interest in Clowney.

I know Joey Bosa is available, but have heard he is going to retire. Haason Red**** is a free agent. Von Miller is out there, but getting pretty old. 37 and 15 years in the league. Kyle Van Noy is out there too. He's 35 with 12 years experience. Another older guy.

This kid is going to be so good. If he has the aptitude/intelligence for the game, he's going to be great.

I heard an interview on the local radio station with him. He's very well spoken and has the right attitude. I think we hit on this guy.

2025:

Bosa 562 snaps over 15 games. 29 tackles, 9 tfl. 5 sacks. 47 pressures and 5 forced fumbles. Made $12.6m in 2025 with buffalo. Expected to make $11m in 2026 but interest has been quiet. Maybe a smaller deal with incentives, seems to be the trend.

Von miller. 420 snaps, 17 games. Situational pass rusher coming in fresh like he would be doing here. 9 sacks, 26 tackles, 36 pressures. He played for $6.1 mil and 4.4mil incentives last year for the commanders.

Cameron Jordan was resigned by saints for similar deal. $7.5 m guaranteed and 3.5 incentives.

I looked and somehow GB has $28 mil cap space available still!? Gute resigned and signed all those guys and has $28m left?

I similarly put my hand in the pocket of a pair of jeans and found roughly $28. Gute and I are cut from the same cloth

So several of our newer contracts are extensions with bigger annual packages but more modest guaranteed. So I suppose the impact to our Cap this year is minimal.

One observation is that this Defense looks to pass our Offense again in 2026. I do not say that lightly because our Offense is good and led by a very solid strategy guy in LaFleur.

Concerning our Defense, we’re using more 3 Safety looks. That puts Evan Williams, Javon Bullard and Xavier McKinney all out there simultaneously and that’s formidable. Our depth is going to be better across the DL also imo. I mean when Dani Sutton is at the bottom it makes you think.

On Offense we’ll need to get improvement from the OL as a whole. Not trying to be overly critical, but Last year was very substandard at OL for Green Bay. I get it the injuries, but teams required to have backups that don’t drop off as much behind the Starters. Lots of good things early in concerning Morgan but that’s not surprising. LT was his position in College, so he’s really back home where he belongs. It’s almost a waste having a guy that’s so athletic (like a Zach or Jordan) slide inside. Those guys excel in space because of their quick feet. Some others are meant to be in a phone booth.

Didn't we do that a lot the past two years anyway? When healthy, Bullard has seemingly been our preferred nickel since his rookie year.
