Fascinating that the discussion is about WR, no problem with that. From a team roster standpoint with the goal to make a deep run in the Playoffs and possibly get to the SB with a QB, DE and RB the team is paying a lot of money to; the OL IMO should be the primary concern for this team in 2026. The OL that GB plans to field as of today looks like this based on PFF grades (2025): Morgan 95th out of 108 qualified NFL offensive linemen in PFF grade, belton 71st of 81 guards, banks 66 of 81 guards, Rhyan 31 of 40 centers, Thom 7 of 89 Tackles.
Seriously, does anyone believe this line is of a quality that will give the QB time to throw to all these WR's or that Jacobs is going to make needed yardage. Based on 2025 this line outside of Thom is virtually at the bottom of the league in performance. Decker is a FA out there, go get him at least he was 49 of 81 comparitively. GB will not get a replacement for these guys in the draft that can start and it is hard to see anyone currently on the roster that will do better in PB or RBing. The OL should be the #1 concern outside of CB for GB.

Do I think it can be absolutely, continuity along OL in many ways trumps even each individual guys ability.

I personally would love another Kinnard type signing and one OL drafted before end of the 4th round too. I still think a world exists where if a center we have the luxury of having Rhyan who has shown capabilities at center or RG and his contract fits in perfectly for the window before we likely pay Belton or Morgan (this year will tell that story).

Health is the key arguably more along the OL than anywhere because their ability to work as one again trumps any one guys ability.

While much on the surface of what you said is accurate. Grading and prioritizing OL etc. Much is also making assumptions that no players improve.

Also your Jordan ranking must’ve been the Ai search. It’s from Nov 12. They were displaying his lowest grades for the season. Now why would you pick that? It’s ok not to like the player or not like the position. I respect that, but using 10 sec of an ai search isn’t a proper way to go about grading a player.

Morgan was 31st of 81 Guards in pass protection
Morgan was 49th of 81 in Run block

They used his highest usage position at Guard where he played 54% of the snaps. The guy is impressive. He played FOUR positions last year.

Imo he’s Rasheed at the low end. Keep him at 1 position and he’ll flourish.

Why, because it didn’t fit the narrative.

One reason there is a lot of discussion on receivers is because we have contracts to extend and that affects a lot of things. I'd like to get those done. And if feasible, Reed also.

Yep. It’s highly volatile when you have 3 or more players at any position in a contract year. I think we should look to TE and lock up Kraft first because he’s proven to be premier receiving option. Reed is a maybe, but I’d probably wait and see what we have in Golden. Might even take a stab at a WR in Day 3 that is a Slot option. 2026 Draft from what I’m seeing is strong at WR through 4 Rounds and enough supply that some players will slide a Round in Day 3.

It’s a near ideal draft for WR and that alone should give credence to discussion.

To be fair I understand the frustration. We in Green Bay land are accustomed to remarkable OL units. It’s just we have a high standard, so I understand the frustration also.

I get OL and we always want to pipeline players. I remember taking that stance when we paid Rodgers $40Mil annual but barely invested at OL fur 1 or 2 drafts. Im on board with improving. Worst thing is Belton gets beat out and pushed to OL6-7. Those guys often see substantial playing time also.

Yet I also understand to fix the area most dire. OL is not our most dire position on this current Roster. Lots of unproven draft picks, but also early signs of some good depth. We just drafted 5 OL in 2024-2025

In addition it’s more than plausible to expect growth. Growth in year 2 and year 3 players is the hallmark of our Roster. We can’t just give up on draft picks. Many of our OL missed a 1/2 year or more with injuries. I’d like to think that’s not going to trend normal.

Morgan needs to stay put all through Camp at LT like his life depended on it. I’m going to wager by years end he’d Walker + level.

Banks is medium high floor. He’s never going to be bad bad. Yet ultimately he might never exceed a medium ceiling. He’s going to give you C grade with a possibility of a jump as players around him solidify.

Rhyan has 1/2 season at Center. He’s excellent in the Run game, stands to reason he’s going to improve Pass sets once he gets the nod at C from Day 1. He graded terrible in Pass protect, but also he’s going to improve some. It’s about reps and continuity.

Belton is a mountain of a man. I watched history of his film and he’s steadily improving. He washed guys off of the screen in the run game and I’m talking in 2025. He’s better than I thought. Before seeing him on video thought he was our weak point. He manhandles his opponent like they’re on skates. Needs refinement in Pass, but who Doesn’t after 7 games or whatever.

Tom needs nothing but to stay on 2 feet. Exceptional athlete. Exceptional teammate.

I have a number of thoughts on Richardson.

First thought. The Packers NEED a quality backup QB moving forward and they currently don't have one. Malik proved several times what the value of a solid #2 QB can be.

Second thought. I would think Richardson would want to be traded to a team where it is plausible for him to compete for the #1 spot. At Green Bay, he wouldn't have any chance of doing that. Unless Love suffers an injury, Richardson might never see the field in GB to audition for his next job.

Third thought. Maybe Anthony sees what Malik did in GB during his last 2 rookie contract years, improving him enough to actually collect some money in free agency and be viewed as a potential starter. Malik had 2 years to do that in GB, Richardson would only have 1 on his existing contract. GB would pass on his 5th year option which would have to be invoked this May. But if Richardson is long term planning, maybe he views going to GB for several years, might be good for his career path.

Fourth thought. The Packers absolutely need a #2 QB and I absolutely would hate seeing them try to fill that spot with a mid to late round draft pick. If Love went down for any period of time, a rookie QB is not the answer for a team with Super Bowl ambitions. That type of QB is one that you develop on the PS or as your 3rd stringer on the bench, if you are willing to give up that roster spot each week.

So, my summary thought on Richardson. If it is just going to be a 1 year and done trade for him, I would be hesitant, but still interested if he was. However, if the Packers really like him, have talked to him about the future and the possibility of extending his current deal to a 3 year deal, he would absolutely be worth a 5th rounder. Much like Willis, I think in the right system, this guy has potential. Even if Richards is 1 and done in GB, they potentially pick up a 2028 compensatory pick after he walks in Free Agency in 2027.

The Packers NEED a #2 QB, whether it is Richardson or a veteran free agent, spend some money, make sure that position on the roster doesn't kill your season.
Richardson to GB talk has resurfaced, again. I like a lot of the ideas in Pokerbrat's post, e.g. extending his deal a year or 2 to keep him here for a few years.
My concern is who actually trained-up Willis? Clements & Mannion or MLF? Both Clements & Mannion are gone, and will Richardson actually be another successful reclamation??

Young with lot of upside. Or do you look for old and on the downside? Like a Cousins.

Getting ready for arena league tryouts
Hard to believe it was 6 years ago at Lambeau that he ran for a lot of yards in a 2019 playoff loss to the Packers. Today, he could not out run my grandmother. And she has been gone a long time.

After the Waddle trade...the Devon Achane for Jayden Reed chatter is picking up.

When there were rumors around the deadline last year I was staunchly opposed to the Packers adding Achane. Now the idea is growing on me

Miami (supposedly) is telling teams Achane is not available. Everyone is "available" for the right price. I'm hoping Gute does NOT make an absurd offer, and then GB either has him for 1 year OR extends him for too much on a long term deal. Too many other re-signing priorities (Kraft, Watson, Reed, LVN) to add another.

The Cleveland Browns are proposing a rule change in regards to what draft picks a team can trade. Current rules only allow teams to trade draft picks up to 3 years into the future. The Browns are proposing that it be changed to picks as far out as 5 years.

The catastrophically horrible Desaun Watson trade occurred 4 years ago and Cleveland is thinking "that's not so bad, maybe we can hamstring our team for 5 years, instead?" Three years is more than enough, imho.

They still found a way to hamstring their team for 5 years with that trade, via the contract they gave Watson. Not only did they give up all those draft picks: 3 first-round picks, a 2023 third-round pick, and 2 fourth-round picks (2022/2024) to Houston. They gave Watson a fully guaranteed 5 year $230M deal.

Most Packer fans will always point to the John Hadl trade as the worst in Packers history. I'd say the Watson deal ended up way worse for the Browns.

Achane straight up for Reed would be a steal for the Packers IMO.
Hey What’s up @Schultz

GB is in a weird spot at RB at best we get maybe 2026 to 2027 with Jacobs before he’s either in decline or a contract $ hazard.
Marshawn Lloyd is likely talented enough to take the role, but his obvious ? ? on health are not resolved.

Brooks is a Safety valve, but he’s not likely going to do anything impressive as a lead RB. He’s at best a RB2 role and more likely a solid option to move up to RB2 for the short term. Call him a solid RB3.

Regarding the RB position. The RB draft class is thin at the top and thin throughout. There’s arguably about 5 consensus RD1,2,3 options. Yet more than 5 teams will be interested in that top 100 area. You could even see both Penn State Boys plucked in RD3. That leaves around 6-7 RB’s valued in RD4,5,6. Plus another 6-8 on the fringe of RD7 to Priority FA types.

By deduction, we’re not going to draft a pick 240 overall etc expecting him to step into RB2. Not happening no matter how many Monongai anomalies we can surmise.

Also there are only 2 Bonafide options in RD1, RD2 (Notre Dame). Sure teams will reach some and it won’t match consensus but that doesn't mean those reach options are good value either. Now we can just go best value RD6-7 and worst case practice squad IF Lloyd plays. The Packers have too many departures in FA in a Win Now season and can’t afford not to land a couple guys who can either start or play primary rotational roles..

It’s no surprise that our best chance at acquiring players who contribute in a Rookie season will be earlier. You’d like to think 1 of 2 Day2 selections fit that bill. Also historically we have seen at minimum 1 or 2 early contributors from Day3.

I don’t know your guys opinions of Stackhouse, but I see him as a 2 down player at best. Rotational level
He doesn’t appear to have the endurance to handle the rigors of being a Starting level snaps guy (call it 50%+ snaps). The Packers could use as close as possible to their next BJ Raji. A guy that can excel at 2 Gap formula and that can stay on the field on a 3rd down if necessary. Plus one we can envision possessing some moderate penetrating or occasional Pass Rush ability. Similar to Brinson, but with better immediate upside.

That DT is likely not going to happen past RD4 (even then likely needing to trade up closer 100 overall) and more realistically we’d need to either bring in a FA or prioritize it using #52 or #84 in some capacity. If we hit at NT and can lineup Wyatt or Hargrave our DL will look immediately different imo.

Yes. If he just had a normal year (whatever that is) I feel like RB is set. I’m talking usual as we might be looking but more selection RD5-7 or UDFA.
We might just be patient and see how the cards fall. Teams will overdraft and it pushes some RB talent right off their roster that can be had. Very worst case is a player for player it 2027 late Day 3 selection to have first right of refusal to pluck a RB off a team with a heavy RB room.
