Mecole looked absolutely lost out there. Skyy also is a better WR option IMO than Mecole if ever needed (hoping it is minimal need).
I disagree with that and I follow these guys near day to day just like you do. I watched him repeatedly burn guys in long throws in Camp. On film. I’m 75-80% sure had the Packers not drafted Savion Williams? as dirty of a word he’s become Hardman would’ve stayed. I also think we wouldn’t have finished last in PR and I’m About 100% sure on that part. So it’s time to admit it was terrible decision letting him go.

Skyy Moore isn’t even close to Mecole production as a WR. He’s got 1/4 his output.

The Packers wouldn’t toy with bringing a PR back on PS if he was 1/2 as bad as some fans made him to be. The proof is in the past. It was a huge mistake letting Hardman go and Skyy Moore is living proof of that. I’m glad we didn’t make the same terrible mistake 2X. I don’t need to supply a Defense for him. I can simply go to any street corner in GB and hold up a sign that’ll draw compassion even from fans of other teams. Heck Gute would stop and throw some coins in my box.

Kind of melodramatic. He just hasn't done much and some, me included, have doubts

The article I linked below is a good breakdown and estimate of when each of these players should/could be back from major injuries:

- Tucker Kraft (August)
- Micah Parsons (Start season on PUP)
- Zach Tom (August)
- Devonte Wyatt (June)
- Jordan Riley (Start season on PUP)
- Kamal Hadden (June)

Why is Savion Williams a dirty word?
He’s not. I was talking Mecole. Lol. Apologize if that was not directed at my post? but I said he was a “dirty word” for me lacking a better description or improper discretion. :roflmao:

I like Skyy. I do think he’s more a dedicated Return guy than Mecole, who leaned more Return specialist.. but had better balance also in an emergency.
but that’s fine, Skyy looks like maybe a hair better Returner comparing careers. 11.+ punt return is A+ grade stuff if we get that. Actually similar mold players who neither lived up to their RD2 billing imo.

It’s possible Skyy just didn’t get enough opportunity in other phases. The kid is a heck of an athlete.

I think his contract would be up. 4 years in.

I don't want to trade Reed for a pick, but a player I can get behind. We need significant help on the D line and could use more in the CB room

Yeah youre right for some reason I thought this was only his third year

I don't see anyone knocking him. If you're referring to a lack of references to him, it's pretty tough to get excited about a guy who played in 12 of 17 games and caught 10 passes.
Savion is big, strong, & fast (6'-4", 228 lbs, 4.48 40). Hopefully he'll absorb some of Doubs' snaps & become a slant/intermediate-route threat. Maybe even stwaling some of TE2 receiving snaps?Hands were suspect entering last year draft, but could be deadly YAC.

I'm very high on Savion Williams. I think he is going to be a star

I'm with you HE.

I will say this, Savion has one attribute that you can't teach, that is size. Beyond that, he has shown average running skills and slightly below average receiving skills (in college) and his return skills for the Packers were below average. Every time I saw him carrying the ball last season, he seemed indecisive and unsure of himself. Hopefully, that changes in the future.

I'm not saying the guy is a bust right now, but MLF and the Packers will need to coach him up and figure out ways to use his unique skills. Maybe it will turn out that GB isn't the right landing spot for Savion and he will thrive somewhere else. If that happens, I would blame Gute for not drafting a guy that matches with his teams offense.

That may well be, I just didn't understand

Why is Savion Williams a dirty word?

I just hope that he’s not relegated to being the designated jet sweep guy lol

Yep. Time flies. Currently we have
3 WR’s and 2 TE’s that are set to hit Free Agency and not including Whyle either.
Now I think we all know not all of them will leave, but only a couple are going to stay imo. Kraft and Watson imo are the top of the “Stay” list. Wicks is a maybe and imo Reed will prove/price himself out of GB. That’s my guesswork. That means we’ll draft a TE and WR this year and possibly 1 as early as RD3 this year. Plus I think we’ll take a stab in RD6,7 where we can stash one on PS.

Watson
Reed
Wicks
Musgrave
Kraft

Are all expiring contracts after 2026.

Watson and Kraft are easy.

Musgrave is a guy I'd like to gamble on. He's infuriating at times, but I still think there's more to him. And we know Matt wants to have flexibility with two TEs

GB better figure out who their OL will be along with depth because as of today it does not look promising based on last year. Pass block was ok, run block was not and as of today do not see the kind of improvement needed .

Yeah Kraft and Watson are musts to resign. Id like to keep Reed

Wicks and Musgrave oh well if they leave. While I like them both...I just dont see either getting significantly better at this point

Reeds future has more to do for me in what Golden and Savion do out of the slot. If either or both show to be a weapon at all…Reed is expendable…and Wicks is actually the better extension - due to he is absolutely an outside guy.

I could see both of them getting better. I hope so. Wicks just has a lot of potential imho. And Musgrave can get open deep. He should be able to take linebackers with him or be open

Yes. That and if Wicks offer is earlier he’s likely not going to command Big $$
