So right now for 2027, we basically have this for Draft Picks.

2nd Rd - Ours
3rd Rd - Ours
3rd/4th - Comp (Willis)
4th Rd - Ours
4th Rd - Dallas Trade (Gary)
4th Rd - Comp (Doubs)
4th/5th - Comp (Quay), probably 5th
5th Rd - Ours
7th Rd - Ours

This is still minus a Rasheed Walker signing, plus if we sign any big FA's that would/could cancel some comp picks listed.

Prior to moves listed, so sorry for missing a couple- but on this site apparently you can't make those kind of mistakes..... it is what it is!

You can make the comment but it wasn’t supported or fleshed out at all is why so many were like wait what?

I actually wasn't fully joking on Carter. Obviously, it would depend on what it would take to get him and what a new contract would look like.

Watching some of the other teams play last season, I am fully convinced that the key to a solid defense is a solid front 7. I don't care if you play a 3-4 or a 4-3, if your defense isn't getting enough pressure on the QB, you are going to have issues late in games when guys with lessor talent are gassed.

While Micah added a huge piece to the Packers defense, losing Kenny Clark and then Wyatt just crushed our defense. Getting a young stud like Carter would transform the Packer defense IMO, but what would it cost?
If we had Carter and Parsons, I could play CB!

I hear you. I am all for spending on the D-line and edge rushers.

I don't mind on gambling on the CB positions with guys like St. Juste because the D-line is more important

They gave an extension to a guy that lost 5 games in a row, 3 playoff games in a row, and two games which the odds of blowing combined were 1 in 10,000. Enough said
That's your explanation for the comment you posted in reply to a 2027 potential Draft Pick post??? Alrighty Then

Good stuff.

Plus keep in mind even though we only get 4 comp picks max, we do have a comp in the wings that would elevate (Enagbare)
Willis
Rasheed
Doubs
Quay
Enagbare

Even IF we had an added player that complete cancelled a top 4? The Enagbare Comp pick would come back into play. 1 Medium $13Mil type FA add would back us up 1 round is all. It’s not really hurting us as long as we don’t get past Doubs $$ etc.

Id argue it’s the ideal time to get a medium grade FA player. Just the opposite of what some others are saying. Now had we started with only 4? Different story.

As I was saying yesterday, it's really quite interesting to me how it seems like we've suddenly (finally) decided to put a big focus towards improving ST players

Pure speculation, but if the team really valued Rich AND in his exit interview he laid out "No, seriously, I'm leaving because you don't invest enough," it might have lit the right fires.

Yes. We immediately went out and locked down Niemann and Welch and now a Bonafide KR/PR. Now I think our mistake last year is we put Mecole out to pasture. Especially after he had some big time playing Camp. He had 1 muffed punt that took the weirdest double bounce I watched it several times it wasn’t routine type ball. That does not erase a career! It was just enough to take a lesser impact player in a crowded WR room. Right or wrong… 2025 still 100% proved to me we took emphasis off Teams once again. Back to normal making it a side thought.

So far the moves we’ve made are highly geared towards ST. I just hope we don’t lose focus again and flip to emotion over practicality.

Brenton Cox Jr back in GB on a 1yr $2.5Mil

This is an absolute steal imo. I seriously thought he might get a contract offer in the $5mil+ annual area.
I think we are showing a lot of financial discipline so far. Now how that plays out in wins and losses anybody knows.

Mecole looked absolutely lost out there. Skyy also is a better WR option IMO than Mecole if ever needed (hoping it is minimal need).

Word is that Jonathan Ford is returning on a new deal.

Depth piece I guess (I hope)
