And now Hobbs is gone! THat's kind of surprising to me
@David CiembronowiczSo far GB is under the Cap, though not by a lot when you add in the upcoming draft picks
@David Ciembronowicz
I’m glad you brought that up. Do you really honestly believe that $3Mil (actually more like $2.854) will prohibit the Packers from having a successful season? That’s the net draft class using 2025 pick salaries and rounding up a hair to round out the Top 51.
The Packers pushed $8Mil from Hobbs into 2027. That’s their reserve $& now and that amount would be a smidge heavy for that purpose imo. That means Russ currently freed around $30,000,000 cap to spend because can now deduct the contingency Money. I’ve already factored the $2.9M net from the draft class just for record. Now disclosure I might be off 1 or 3 million there’s lots of variables and I’m human. But I’m not off the mark $30Mil!!
He’s right about 1 thing. We’ve got work to do. Maybe not critical level but I’m looking at DT and it’s not pretty. lolYeah my math is mathing like yours....before Juste signing that's roughly where I was as well.....not sure where this claim of "not by a lot" is driven by. He might have simply not seen a fresh look at the cap situation.
If Gannon really is going with the 3-4 D moving forward here is the DL/OLB personnel currently in-house:He’s right about 1 thing. We’ve got work to do. Maybe not critical level but I’m looking at DT and it’s not pretty. lol
Only nit: LVN started his career with us under a 3-4. He was an OLB then and I'd expect him to return there. If Gannon really is going with the 3-4 D moving forward here is the DL/OLB personnel currently in-house:
DE's
LVN, 24 yrs, 6'-5", 277 lbs
No and we’ll always field a Roster if that makes sense. Yet what I’m referring to is between opening of 2025 and about this moment, We lostIf Gannon really is going with the 3-4 D moving forward here is the DL/OLB personnel currently in-house:

Someone said this on The Pack-A-Day podcast, and I think it's a great idea.
Trading Jaden Reed for either a premium day 2 pick(s) or a player.
I find it hard to believe they're going to re-sign him.
He's a purely slot guy who doesn't block.
Watson is their guy that will be extended again
Golden is a number 1 pick
Kraft will be extended
They drafted Savion.
GB has problem units. CB, DT, offensive and defensive lines. These are groups I don't want to rely on rookies. Trade Reed for a CB and cross it off the list.
Like a whole new team.OP Updates:
Chris Brooks signed
Gary and Wooden trades
Franklin added (through wooden trade)
Rhyan resigned
Niemann signed
Welch Signed
Benajmin St Juste signing
I had read last week that the Packers might be interested in a trade with the Panthers for A'Shawn Robinson. Well, they just released him. Get busy Gute!
Just to clarify, I wouldn't want Robinson if he is seeking the kind of money he has been making......$7.5M/season, but for a few million less, he would help fortify the defensive line and bring some veteran experience in the process.
I'd go 2yr/$10M with only $4M guaranteed top. plays this year on hit of only 3-4 and next year 6-7 depending if he contributes or we walk away easily.
Agree. He is in that danger zone of being too old/unmotivated to perform well. However, the Packers need some defensive front experience and expecting draft picks and our current 2nd year guys to suddenly be those guys, might be expecting too much.
Honestly if you could also bring in Calais for a cheap amount I'd sit pretty and not feel I need to push for a DL in the draft at all or just late day 3

I'm holding out for Jalen Carter.![]()
That’s kinda where I was going initially. If we could get a pair like that for around $10-12Mil I’d be excited. With an extra 4th from Dallas we’ve likely already locked RD3 and pair of 4ths. Also Romeo just got signed waiting on details.Honestly if you could also bring in Calais for a cheap amount I'd sit pretty and not feel I need to push for a DL in the draft at all or just late day 3
I think his contract would be up. 4 years in.I really like Reed but youre probably right that they arent going to be able to afford him and he's a bit redundant with Golden in the room.
He's also one of the only players on the Packers that could fetch a day 2 pick.
Id prefer to keep him this season however and make a run. Im certainly not against resisting it after this season
Oh me too and Trey Hendrickson...if Gute doesn't do it he just wants to lose.
Prior to moves listed, so sorry for missing a couple- but on this site apparently you can't make those kind of mistakes..... it is what it is!Yeah my math is mathing like yours....before Juste signing that's roughly where I was as well.....not sure where this claim of "not by a lot" is driven by.
