Jaylon Smith hasn't been good lately. I'm really hoping a change of scenery and scheme brings some life back into his play. Don't get hopes up too high, decent players don't get released mid season often.
Too many people reading into the headlines rather than official statements. 12 has never been one to dispel rumors by going out of his way to talk to the media. I'm sure he's upset based on the little we have to go on, but lots of players can be unhappy about their contracts and go on to play.
I really liked the schools that these draft picks came from. I'm glad to not see another PAC-12 cornerback. Not many question marks due to the competition these guys had in college.
As much as it hurts to let a good all around RB go -I'm fine with spending a mid round draft pick on a rb every single year and letting them walk at the end of their rookie contact.
It's hard to judge the detroit years, but the guy was the DC the year before and the year the lions went 0-16. He was average with Washington, and recently the Rams have had good defenses. I bet this is the best the FO was willing to pay, playing moneyball with the coaching staff trying to find...
