    I believe there should be a lengthy discussion on strengths and weaknesses.

    Obviously the offense has many strengths and their discussion should be how to maintain those strengths, such as Favre and Wahle.

    The discussion on defense should go below the surface and find the root causes. While there are things to identify at all levels, the fact remains that the players did not buy into the defense (defense early season, defense mid-season and defense late-season). Communication was a problem.

    Yes, Thompson should discuss with Sherman the need to address the communicaiton problems. He needs to put this in front of Sherman. My guess is that they should conclude that some changes (plural) are needed on the defensive coaching side.
