Mike Zimmer to coach Dallas defense

A great move by McCarthy. I wanted Zimmer to come here as I think that he is a REALLY good defensive coach. He always did more with less and created tough defenses. I'm not one to typically crown anyone in the offseason, but I do think that this makes Dallas a stronger contender.

Their Def under Dan Quinn was really good all season long. It's just the collapse against us that is a big blemish.

I wouldn't have minded Zimmer with us though.

I agree Zimmer is a good defensive coach, but wonder if he can change the soft culture of the Cowboys defense.
