Two drives and he tries reverses to driver every time. This sucks. he is killing drives.

The 49ers are a very aggressive defense, the reverse does two things.
1. It makes the defense stay honest to the reverse, which means you could do a fake reverse later on in the game to possibly catch the defense overpursuing.
2. It allows you to possibly use fake reverses later on as well.
If your going to run the reverse you should run it in the 1st half.

Well, they've worked earlier in the season. I saw 2 things - missed blocks, and giving credit where it's due, SF positioned themselves correctly and didn't buy the fake either time.

Precisely - and if it had worked we'd be all over the genius of it :lol: Except for that goal-line toss early in the season I don't have any problem with McCarthy's play calling. Some work, some don't but I see him making a balanced attack against any given defense. At least until it is obvious something isn't working (or we're down 31-0).
