What are some thoughts on signing him to a 2 - 3 year deal to add depth to WR bu tleadership as well?

I think he would be a good addition but I would rather have Eric Moulds.

he says he is close to signing somewhere, and I don't think he fits the bigger receiver mold, MM is looking for.....

No thanks - I believe Rod Gardner will resurrect his career this year like Koren Robinson did last year. I don't think our WR position isn't as bad as some Packer fans feel it is. Walker will be back and get his money eventually. DD is consistantly underrated and if Ferguson gets over his buckshy tendancies, we'll be in good shape. (BTW - how many of you that think Ferguson sucks could have taken that hit from Darius and then resumed your career like nothing happened?) Ferguson is still talented, but his head wasn't where it needed to be last year.

What I am disappointed in is Murphy's injury. He had the tools for greatness.

Whatever happens with Walker, we still have better receivers than:
    Freeman
    Bradford
    Schroeder
