The Steelers were quite successful with trick plays last season, the most famous being Randel El to Hines in SBXL. I saw in the Bears/Pats game today that Pats did a double reverse, which made them lose ground, but it looked like if they just stuck with the first reverse it was going to be a huge play. Any thoughts on this? Do teams try to be too tricky sometimes? It could actually work to the benefit if you get a reputation as doing them, then the defence can overead things, and the more simple plays that you run become more successful.
