People have been saying that Favre is going to retire, "Next Year" for years now...

What happens if Brett stays for 2-3 years...??

Rodgers can be replaced....and we can load up for the SB in those years!

Brett Favre---67% accuracy 4,155 yds.

Fuzz...you're a TRUE idiot. Stop crying for attention by counter
arguing everything.

If Brett commits to 2-3 more years, TT can easily trade Rodgers for some value and groom Favre's replacement easily!

You don't know that Rodgers is the answer. You're just guessing

It's not like Rodgers is irreplaceable...although some here act as though he is..
And you are guessing if you think a replacement for Favre can easily be groomed whether via the draft or trade or whatever.

Sorry sonny you are wrong!

Yooper..Fuzznuts is ALWAYS wrong. HE even knows he's wrong.

He's just crying for attention. We can only guess where that stems from and frankly who cares.

Just ignore his cries for attention.

Brett's fine. Aaron's fine.

Gross Cheesey...

Hey..I'm just saying if Favre commits to several years with the Packers, that it may be possible to trade Rodgers and get some good value for him...AND draft a QB to bring along in the next 2-3 years.

Jeesh. Everyone acts like Rodgers is the answer and no one knows if he's the answer. He may just be mediocre.

I must have struck a nerve with Cal2GB because right away, the name calling starts. That's how I feel about it Cal...this is a forum and I'm entitle to my opinion. You don't have to childishly resort to name calling.

Rodgers is just another player. I don't know why everyone is so invested in him as the heir apparent to Brett Favre when he may not be that at all....

Woke up with TROMDRAWAL this morning myself. Insurance didn't cover the trip to urgent care. My wife is worried, I poured a bottle of Scotch into my coffee. Definately a warning sign for this disease. Please pray for me.

Since they go into the offseasons, not really knowing what will happen, they are sticking with what they KNOW THEY HAVE, and thats Rodgers.

Let me see if this makes sense.

Rodgers has had 3 years in the system, has been running scout team each week and has learned under Brett..Ted and Mm are not sure that Brett will play in 2008..

So what do they do?

Try to trade Rodgers, well no one is going to give them a #1..Maybe a #3 AT BEST...

But the main point is this, no matter who they would trade for, it will take time, maybe month, maybe a year, maybe 2 years, for the guy to grasp the system as well as Rodgers knows the system right now..

so in a sense, you trade Rodgers, to get a guy THAT MIGHT be better, but you REALLY dont know...

Sound familiar?

I don't know why everyone is so invested in him as the heir apparent to Brett Favre when he may not be that at all

Where as you know what you have in Rodgers, and thats a guy 3 years learning the system, and has learne dunder Brett..

ok fine...keep him.

I'm just saying all options should be on the table.

What if Brett commits to 2-3 more years?

Does Rodgers want to sit that long?

Could TT trade him to give us a push to a couple of SB wins, as Wolf might have done?

(You Rodgers people need to chill.... )

Do you HONESTLY believe Brett will commit to 2-3 more years?

I say no, and he has that right to do that..

and I have a sneaky feeling the Packers believe that as well, and thats why they are keeping Rodgers.

But if hBrett were to say, 2010 will be my last year..Then the team has to sit with Rodgers find out if he is willing to stay..and if Rodgers says no then they would do something..

It all points to the fact it appears you really dont think Rodgers is the answer which is FINE..

Just like its fine others think he will be fine..

but the most important part right nwo, is the Packers think he is fine

If he wants to sit and wait, I say keep him. If he wants to leave, I say trade him.

can we shelf these "what if Brett commits to 2-3 years" scenarios until he actually does it?

Right, because we dont know when he is going to leave, looking back at some of the old topics (in the smack forum) they said stuff like Favre is going to retire at the end of the season (that was 2 years ago). He still has a few more years in him, now will he use them? We dont know.

Fuzz, calling other people childish...that's laughable.
The point is Fuzz..you don't just post YOUR opinion.
You post A OPINION and enjoy counterpointing everyone for the sake of it.

YOu get DESTROYED in your weak arguments but keep on.

People who have any MATURITY would admit when they have a weak argument and grow from it and adjust that OPINION that you speak of..

But you continue to spew a non-sense opinion that gets everyone to respond to you (which you like).

It's transparent fuzz. That's the immature part of your posts.

Try posting more like you did here, and everyone will respect you.

You're the one throwing a hissy fit pal because one "dared" to suggest that maybe the object of your affection might be considered for a trade if Favre commits to 3 years....

Your bias as a Rodgers Homer is so clear its painful, and its pathetic that you don't realize that you are biased towards Rodgers, even to the point of wishing Brett Favre an injury so that your boy can start....

The only thing that's weak here is you and your not admitting your obvious bias for Rodgers that totally make your posts ridiculous, at times...

Why don't you spend less time worrying about me (attacking me, and your lame attempts at psychoanalyzing me. You get it wrong everytime, bud), and what I post, and post something that contributes to the forum?

I'm sure everyone here would appreciate that than your obsession with me....

To you all,

Fuzz claims that Rodgers was horrible because he fell in the draft.

After he was destroyed w/the fact that Favre and Brady both were drafted lower and that draft position meant nothing, he avoided my post 4 times and then finally replied and said..

"Who cares where he's drafted". So why would Fuzz bring it up at all?

He was wrong, and ran from it..

He attacks everyone else's very logical and intelligent posts and then
acts the victom when people reply back in kind.

It's pathetic.

I'm ignoring his above post because it's just another call for his attention.

He doesn't even really believe what he's saying. He waits till we all make a conversation and picks the most inane post so he can get replies to himself.

DON'T INDULGE HIM WITH A REPLY.

I'm getting back to Packer's football. Fuzz you can reply all you want to get more attention to yourself, but you'll be talking to yourself.

I'll let all about the packers deal w/you.

Dangit I wanna be the one everyone hates on for once!! Let's see:

1) Rodgers is the next coming of Favre play him NOW
2) TT is a cheapskate and won't pick up anyon in FA
3) Favre should play until his arm falls off

Take your pick and put 'em up!

(j/k) I do enjoy the lively banter though...
