Thoughts on denver trade

Rumor of the day is a trade for Ron Dayne to GB. Probly for draft picks next year. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this...

 

Rumor? from where?

Why would we do that?

 

Doesn't wash anymore because Green Bay's salary cap is shot because of an injury settlement with Cletidus Hunt. Dayne still has a healthy salary.

Also: Ted Thompson, GM, loves draft picks about as much as anyone could imagine.

Ron Dayne has never been anything in the NFL except an expensive luxury back.

The rumors are worthless.

 

and he stinks too...

Dayne couldn't get out of his own way with the Giants...

 

yeah, there's gotta be SOMEONE on a practice squad SOMEWHERE that is more worthwile than ron dayne

 

We have three RBs right now and won't be adding a 4th. We need a WR more than an RB.

 

But it's ron dayne. I know that the packers wouldn't do this and the packers probably wouldn't be the best place for him. Ironically, the best place for ron dayne is either the steelers or the broncos. But god how i loved him at wisconsin...perhaps they will pick up calhoun when he comes out. Always thought that the packers need a back who is shifty and can catch (tomlinson)...but they won't trade for him, not with thompson wanting to build a team by the draft...he won't give up draft picks for someone who hasn't produced and will run behind a iffy O-line

 

another vote for the same...already have enough rbs...sadly, Dayne sucks, and draft is more valuable.

 

Agreed - Ron Dayne has NEVER proven himself as an NFL caliber RB.

Current conversation from several different web sites is that TT is looking at WR's....

 

I heard they were going to resign Hunt and trade him for "Cadilac Williams".

 

Give me a break. They will trade Hunt for P.Manning, Harrison, and E.James :roll:
