Finley! ;)

Seriously though, I love Hunter Henry. I don't think most of them are going anywhere and let's let the next 10 (at least) games show what our TE's can do. And I like our pickup of the ex Badger.

I would have liked to have seen us draft a TE in this previous draft, considering how deep it was. Jonnu Smith and George Kittle are two very talented and complete prospects that we could have had at the end of round 3. M. Adams seems promising, but we clearly need an influx of early round talent on offense if Capers will be around for the foreseeable future.

Honestly MB has really, really disappointed me....

Ever since his days at A&M, I once envisioned him as the next TG or Antonio Gates... but he's never actually lived up to the hype

He's had some good years, but NOTHING CLOSE to what TG or Gates did back in the day
Even as the 3rd or 4th option here I would expect to have AT LEAST 250+ yards and 2-3 touchdowns

He's at what 216 and 0 touchdowns? lol
That's pathetic
I don't expect it to suddenly jump(although it might) with AR gone

 You obviously have absolutely no idea how the NFL works. There's zero chance the Packers will acquire any of the tight ends you mentioned.

Just looking at the numbers a little closer. The difference between #3 and #20 is about 1 10-15 yard catch per game. Most in that range are low 20s for receptions with yardage in the upper 100 low 200s range. About what Marty has been dropping. I'm sure the rest have dropped some also.

bennett signed a 3 year deal. he's TE1 for the foreseeable. maybe he'll come around but it if he doesn't maybe he'll do everyone a favor and retire.

While Bennett has definitely dropped too many balls and hasn't caught a touchdown pass so far this season it seems a lot of Packers fans don't realize he's only six receptions behind the team leader in that category and is pretty close to Cobb and Nelson in yards through six games.

I think we can safely assume two things. First, no other teams want to win a Superbowl and secondly, all other teams are keenly interested in helping the Packers win more of them.

I say we should first sign Patrick Peterson and Jalan Ramsey to shore up our secondary. Then Aaron Donald, Joey Bosa, and Kahlil Mack to strengthen out front 7. Follow that up with a couple of OTs, take your pick. Then, and only then should we think about upgrading our TE position. Priorities you know.

Why not get Tom Brady until Rodgers can play again too?

just like with James Jones and Davante Adams some people can't get past the drops. I'll be the first to admit I was expecting much more from MB so far this season but we have dealt with much worse at the position in the past.

That's pretty good for a tight end though.

Bennett is most likely to fourth option in the passing game yet it seems some fans expect him to lead the team in receptions for some reason.

Besides that, people forget what Marty B does when he isn't catching the ball. I hear nothing but praise about his blocking as well as being a decoy if nothing else. Throw in the fact that he seems to be a guy everyone likes and a team player. If you want to only look at pure stats, you aren't looking at the complete picture of a player. Give him some time to work out the chemistry with AR Hundley, before you hit the panic button and start talking about finding his replacement from a pool of guys who aren't even available.

That would be awesome if he suddenly developed super sure hands now that Hundley is throwing to him.
I'd put the "optimistic" rainbow under my own post, if I could :)

Drops are always disappointing but for me its not the end of the world. Yeah when the drop kills a drive and we lose by 1 it hurts but there are ALWAYS other contributing factors to go along with that drop that factor into the loss. Game results are a culmination of every play that goes on during the 60 minutes of play. Yes 1 play can change the resuls but that 1 play is not the cause of that result. IMO people put far too much emphasis on one failed play be it a dropped pass, an interception, a fumble or a missed FG. Yeah screw ups hurt but they are NEVER the sole reason we lose games. Some people act as if they are.
