Last five games...

The Packers have scored 32/game and allowed 17. 15 point spread.

The Bucs have scored 34/game and allowed 20. 14 point spread.

The Saints have scored 31/game and allowed 22. 9 point spread.

The Seahawks have scored 24/game and allowed 13.* 11 point spread.

I'm not going to crunch the Rams' numbers now that they don't have their QB, and I don't care about CHI or WAS.

*Seahawks opponents were NYG, NYJ, WAS, LAR, and SF B Team.

You forgot Kicker, long snapper, and punter but I'll let you go with a warning.

Captain says Packers are on top of the kicker category anyway so it don't matter.

Because we have the better Running Back group I can understand why you have us above The Saints.

I disagree with Chicago having a better receiving corps than us. Same with Tampa Bay having a better secondary.

I wouldn’t say the Bucs have the better secondary overall, but specifically at corner, they have two really good players in Davis and Dean. Jaire is better than either one, but they’re both quality and either is way, way better than anyone else the Packers have at CB.

What would be more telling is the same thing for the top 5 teams they played. If the 4 of the last 5 were the NFC East, I wouldn't be impressed.

I did this kind of quickly, but I think I have it right. Here are the ppg scored and allowed by the respective teams against their top 5 opponents.

The top 5 teams that the Packers faced in terms of record were: Saints, Bucs, Titans, Colts, Bears

In those 6 (Bears X 2) games, they scored 33 points per game and allowed 26. Spread of +7.

The top 5 teams that the Saints faced were: Bucs (X2), Packers, Chiefs, Bears, and Raiders.

In those 6 games, they scored 30 points per game and allowed 25. Spread of +5.

The top 5 teams that the Seahawks faced were: Bills, Rams (X2), Cardinals (X2), Dolphins, Football Team

In those 7 games, they scored 26 points per game and allowed 25. Spread of +1.

The top 5 teams that the Bucs faced were: Packers, Saints (X2), Chiefs, Rams, Bears

In those 6 games, they scored 22 points per game and allowed 26. Spread of -4.

The top 5 teams that the Rams face were: Bills, Seahawks (X2), Bucs, Bears, Dolphins.

In those 6 games, they scored 22 points per game and allowed 22. Even spread.

With the exception of the Bears, none of these teams are ready to play defense in Lambeau in January against the Packers offense.

All that matters is the team putting everyone in a bubble to avoid Covid. Schefter just reported the Brown's HC is quarantined did to contact so the Browns are rolling into the playoffs with their ST coach as acting HC.

Covid-19 is a real scary variable in these playoffs.

Bucs also have very good coverage linebackers and Winfield JR is a VERY good coverage safety. Irs how they were about to remove Adams from the game when the Packers played.

I think the Bucs are better in coverage because they have quality linebackers that can help out. Packers have the better receivers but I'm always leery of comparing receiving groups when one group has an amazing QB and the other group has a Trubisky.

Me thinks you're underselling our IDL, ever since Clark has returned to nearly full health he's been a force in the middle. This explains why our defense has become markedly stouter in the last few weeks.

Fairly good list but I'd put Brady over Wilson and the Saints over Green Bay at RB (I think jones is as good as Kamara but Kamara is used much more often). At WR I'd put Packers over Bears and WFT over the Saints.

Oline, with Bakh out, I'd put Packers 3rd, behind Bucs and Saints. Interior dline, I'd love WFT just below the Packers. Jonathan Allen is very good but that's really all WFT has on the interior; I'll take Clark and Keke/Lancaster over Allen and Payne/Settle.

Edge defenders is where I disagree the most. WFT belongs at one but the Saints should be second; Cameron Jordan, Trey Hendrickson, and Marcus Davenport are VERY good this year (Davenport has outplayed Z this year). I'd put the Bucs 3rd, Packers 4th, then Bears, Rams, Seahawks. Packers really only have one elite edge defender while the WFT, Saints, and Bucs each have multiple good edge defenders.

Linebacker I agree with. For secondaries, I'd move the Bucs to third.

They're so up and down though. Clark is good, no question. Lowery? Sometimes. he's a big guy that provides a little in the pass rush dept and he seems to get his hands in the right spot sometimes to tip a ball. But he also gets shoved around a lot other times. he's ok, overpaid, but ok at best to me. Some days he looks good others not.

Lancaster I thought was coming around the past few weeks, but man, I saw him just get tossed around by Chicago the couple times I watched him. I remember one looking at the screen he was on the left side of Chicago's oline and 1 guy tossed him about 3 yards to the side like he was nothing and the RB ran right through where he was. Didn't even put up a fight. He too, is too inconsistent. When stuff like that happens to you and you can't even hold any area of ground, it leaves gaping holes and why our defense is good and then not good. Everyone can be doing their job but you and it's a giant hole. At least hold the ground, you don't need to "win", but put up a fight at least. make the RB hesitate, bounce right or left, something. But don't allow your big body to just be tossed to the side like you were nothing and by one person on top of it. It wasn't like he was slanting and got pushed out of the way, he was obviously trying to, and was supposed to hold that ground. he just didn't.

I think our Dline outside of Clark is average to below. I think with clark and some more consistent play they'd be well above average easily, but I see to many plays where one of them just gets beaten badly and the rest of the defense suffers for it. Giving up 4th and inches repeatedly doesn't bode well for the defensive front. Gotta hold some ground at the very least.

I wonder what would happen if we ever needed our ST coach to act as our HC?

Brady over Wilson and Saints backfield over GB are fair. I debated both of those.

I think that Allen, Payne, and Settle are all quality interior players for WAS. That's why I put them there.

Cam Jordan is pretty good this season. Davenport is OK (I definitely disagree that he's outplayed Z). But in all honesty, I forgot about Hendrickson. So that's a good call.

Maybe so. Clark is back to playing like a stud. We still don't know exactly what Snacks will be. Lancaster and Lowry are just guys. Keke is a very imbalanced player-- difficult to handle in pass pro and easy to blow up in the running game.

Donald is the best defensive player in the league, so he puts LA at #1 on his own, in my opinion.

I think the Football Team rolls three deep on the iDL with high quality players. Clark is probably better than all of them, but all three are probably better than anyone else on our DL.

Bears are similar to me. Clark is probably better than anyone they start, but Hicks, Nichols, and Urban all seem to be having better seasons than anyone else on our DL.

Saints and Packers are close. I could see the case for flipping them.

I wonder if he meant the overall rb spot? Our 3 compared to their 3
