    Sean Salsbury:

(Paraphrase, but pretty much right on)

Host: "Why are the Lions favored over the Packers...wow"?

    Salsbury: "Well, not really."

Salsbury: "The Lions are out-and-out better..."

    (Get this!)

They're more explosive on offense (than the Packers)...And the Packers couldn't stop me (as a running back)...

Then he lumps on with the old...Favre doesn't play well indoors, line...

(How'd he do in MIN last season?...Guess that doesn't count for much)

    Oh...but

He expects good things from Harrington!

    etc etc...

He said a few other things that made me want to barf...But whatever. It's sickining.

    Now, I know people...Salsbury's a know-nothing a$$-clown...But all I really ask:

When Favre lights it up, and Joey CupCake does what he does, tone the Packer insult blitz down just a touch...And if you wanted to really do the right thing maybe say you wildly jumped the gun just a bit.

Hey Sean...Wouldn't you get some serious props around the office if you didn't jump on the band wagon with your megaphone! Maybe say, "Let's wait and see..."We are talking about back-to-back-to-back division champs...Bates...whatnot."

It's hilarious when the media gets on a role with something...

It's like we're in the same league with the niners, this season...

    Such crazy over-reaction!

We havn't even stepped onto the field yet!

Didn't that moron play for the Queens? I'm not terribly surprised by this.

Sean Salisbury is the same as Steven A. Smith....loud for the sake of being loud, and likes to poke sticks at people.

Well, I guess if you cannot cut it as a player, you may as well prop yourself up with your words!

    Idiot!

What's strange is that Salisbury is usually singing Favre's praises. Sounds like a typical Bandwagon jumper. I guarantee you that if the Packers spank the Lions on Sunday, Salisbury will be right back on the Packers wagon.

Salisbury Steak is the ultimate meathead. He talks about as well as he played.

He is a studio guy not a reporter.

This syndrome is nothing new but it is irritating.

Remember Howard Cosell? Every week "the best running back in the league" was playing.

These guys really don't remember what they said two weeks ago.
