Feb 10, 2015 8:55 PM - longtimefan: http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/story?storyId=12307137&src=desktop&rand=ref~{"ref"%3A"https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F"%7D
Feb 10, 2015 8:58 PM - longtimefan: jerry montgomery DC from Oklahoma
Feb 10, 2015 9:00 PM - longtimefan: Fox Sports reported Tuesday evening that Montgomery will essentially work as a defensive quality control assistant
Feb 11, 2015 7:42 AM - Twiddlemylobes: Any Defensive assistance is welcome. particularly Defensive assistants
Feb 11, 2015 7:45 AM - Twiddlemylobes: Nice link longtime
Feb 11, 2015 9:48 AM - Green and Gold: He's only 35, and some OU fans are pretty upset. Potential replacement for when Capers retires?
Feb 11, 2015 9:50 AM - Green and Gold: Capers did a very good job last year, but like people always say... Competition is always good, makes everyone better.
Feb 11, 2015 11:07 AM - 7thFloorRA: Capers will be 65 before the first regular season game next year. He can't do it forever.
Feb 11, 2015 12:50 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Wow....time flies! Twenty-three years ago today, the Packers traded for Brett Favre
Feb 11, 2015 1:00 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Atlanta used the #17 pick in the draft, that they received for Favre to pick Tony Smith (also from Southern Mississippi)....RB who played 4 years and gained 329 career yards :D
Feb 11, 2015 1:02 PM - Poppa San: Gotta love Glanville's drafting input and acumen.
Feb 11, 2015 1:02 PM - Pokerbrat2000: We can thank Ron Wolf for that deal
Feb 11, 2015 2:00 PM - 7thFloorRA: Wow....just read that the pack interviewed Aranda for that position they hired for yesterday.
Feb 11, 2015 2:54 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Hope he doesn't leave the Badgers

Feb 12, 2015 at 6:48 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Who is in favor of having the Favre induction into the GB Hall of Fame in the stadium and not the atrium as planned? For a publicly owned team, whoever planned this celebration needs to wake up!
Feb 12, 2015 at 6:50 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Article here for those interested in reading.... http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/291555091.html
Feb 12, 2015 at 7:06 AM - 7thFloorRA: I would absolutely go to that event.
Feb 12, 2015 at 7:17 AM - Pokerbrat2000: As would I......well worth the 6 hour round trip.....
Feb 12, 2015 at 8:09 AM - Raptorman: While I know many Packers fans won't go, it should be in the stadium, for the fans, not the high doller sponsers only.
Feb 12, 2015 at 8:17 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Agreed Raptor, this is about the Fans as much as Favre and the GB organization. I think if held in the stadium, the turnout would surprise some. Time has healed a lot of wounds and some of us still recognize Favre for what he did for the team
Feb 12, 2015 at 8:21 AM - 7thFloorRA: This event would be a way to bury the hatchet officially.
Feb 12, 2015 at 8:27 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Totally......keep the fans away by holding it in the Atrium where only the press, sponsors and the higher ups can attend......and once again, the Packers leave their fans out in the cold over this situation
Feb 12, 2015 at 9:35 AM - yooperpackfan: I will be there if I'm able. Having it in the atrium is pure :poop: .
Feb 12, 2015 at 9:44 AM - 7thFloorRA: Brett put the ball back in the packers court at least. There is no reason they can throw together a super bowl rally with 2 weeks notice and not be able to do this with months of notice.
Feb 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Almost feels like they don't want to see the support he would get....I don't buy the excuse that they wanted to have it in a venue (Atrium) that would assure a sell out. Really?
Feb 12, 2015 at 10:01 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm saying it now, if they have it in the Stadium.....there won't be an empty seat
Feb 12, 2015 at 10:03 AM - 7thFloorRA: They will fill it and make a mil or so off ticket sales. They should do it the night before family night or the week before.
Feb 12, 2015 at 1:17 PM - Raptorman: Better yet, why not make it part of Family night?
Feb 12, 2015 at 1:49 PM - Narveson: Niles Paul as our 2015 TE
Feb 12, 2015 at 2:03 PM - 7thFloorRA: There are $1 Million reasons to have it on a different day.
Feb 12, 2015 at 2:15 PM - Pokerbrat2000: agrees with 7th, they will cash in on this event separately
Feb 12, 2015 at 2:25 PM - Green and Gold: MM - "I will split my time equally between Defense, Offense and Special Teams" I like that idea quite a bit...
Feb 12, 2015 at 2:26 PM - Green and Gold: The big surprise of the day is that Edgar Bennett is becoming only the offensive coordinator - it was before assumed he'd be the OC and the WR coach. Alex van Pelt is now coaching both QBs and WRs.

Feb 13, 2015 at 9:32 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Interesting that a team that finished 13-5 is making so many coaching moves out of desire, not necessity (coaches hired away from organization)
Feb 13, 2015 at 9:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: and not saying its a bad thing either, I love the changes
Feb 13, 2015 at 10:11 AM - 7thFloorRA: The title changes make it seem bigger than it is. They got rid of an incompetent and awful special teams coach, brought in a new face to help out on O and D and shifted MM's role
Feb 13, 2015 at 7:04 PM - Green and Gold: Will Tramon take a pay cut or will he bite the dust. If he walks, can House and Hayward fill in?

Feb 13, 2015 10:08 PM - longtimefan: hearing Williams will stay and House willbe out..
Feb 14, 2015 1:39 AM - Vrill: ^ I'd be happy with that
Feb 14, 2015 7:56 AM - 7thFloorRA: I like House in man coverage but he sucks in zone and can't stay on the field
Feb 14, 2015 8:34 AM - Green and Gold: After Tramon laid out Kapernick on his interception return in last year's wildcard game he replaced Burnett as my favorite defensive backfield player.
Feb 14, 2015 8:34 AM - Green and Gold: http://cjzero.com/gifs/TramonWilliamsDropsHeadColinKaepernick.gif
Feb 14, 2015 8:35 AM - Green and Gold: House looks like he could fill in if he can just stay healthy. Hayward and Hyde both play better in the slot, they'd need a bit more time to transition. That's not to say that they can't but they'd need time.
Feb 14, 2015 1:17 PM - 7thFloorRA: I would absolutely keep Casey in the slot. He is way too slow and small to be a straight up corner.
Feb 14, 2015 5:33 PM - Atesh: Anybody watching All-
Feb 14, 2015 5:33 PM - Atesh: Star saturday night ?
Feb 14, 2015 5:46 PM - 7thFloorRA: I'm watching some RACING!!!!!

Feb 16, 2015 5:01 AM - Vltrophy: Peyton is about 2200 yards away from Favre's passing record. Depends on how good a year he has if he is to pass Favre
Feb 16, 2015 7:56 AM - Carl: He'll pass 2,200 no problem
Feb 16, 2015 9:42 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Only if he makes it through most of the season
Feb 16, 2015 11:14 AM - 7thFloorRA: Its pretty clear records are all he plays for. I wouldnt be surprised if the Broncos are hoping to not have him back
Feb 16, 2015 11:36 AM - 7thFloorRA: Good bye Bostick.
Feb 16, 2015 11:45 AM - dbain21: just saw that on twitter. Bostick's name to us fans will be just as infamous as 4th and 26, but the guy handled a bad situation(one he put himself into) as good as anyone could have
Feb 16, 2015 11:50 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Had to be a scapegoat somewhere in all those botched plays....low man on the totem pole gets the "honor" I guess?
Feb 16, 2015 11:53 AM - 7thFloorRA: I figured he was gone anyways. He couldn't remember the plays and they wouldn't let him on the field.
Feb 16, 2015 3:35 PM - Packman Chant: If he does recover that onside kick does he stay? Hmmm.
Feb 16, 2015 3:43 PM - 7thFloorRA: Highly unlikely IMO. Whatever his issues with the playbook were they absolutely refused to put him on the field on offense because of them. That pretty much means a 3 year vet is out the door.
Feb 16, 2015 3:51 PM - 7thFloorRA: How weird is it that the Bucks are basically going to **** away more money getting Larry Sanders to not play for them than it would take for the Pack to have Cobb for 4 years.
Feb 16, 2015 4:02 PM - Powarun: No because if he recovers the onside kick coaches would still be unhappy that he didn't follow instructions.
Feb 16, 2015 7:10 PM - Green and Gold: Hope that one mistake doesn't define his career.

Feb 17, 2015 6:03 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Only he can change that and the Raiders are looking for TE's
Feb 17, 2015 9:25 AM - 7thFloorRA: Welcome Clay IV!!! I had no idea he was having a kid.
Feb 17, 2015 9:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: well....technically....Clay didn't HAVE the kid.....if he did......well......
Feb 17, 2015 9:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: 6 lbs 2 ounces? The baby must have been born 2 months early!
Feb 17, 2015 9:40 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Sounds like Nick Saban and Urban Meyer were the first 2 in the waiting room to recruit him
Feb 17, 2015 9:57 AM - ExpatPacker: Looks like Randall Cobb is asking for a $9 mil per year contract
Feb 17, 2015 10:07 AM - Pokerbrat2000: give him 4 years and $35 mil and call it a day.....can't let him go
Feb 17, 2015 1:46 PM - 7thFloorRA: Kevin Dorsey has joined Bostick in the unemployment line of the NFL

Feb 17, 2015 9:14 PM - longtimefan: Manning gave Broncos an answer real fast-- must be nice to have a player know what he wants to do and knows the team needs an answer
Feb 17, 2015 10:14 PM - Vrill: We'll give Cobb that 9m per year.
Feb 18, 2015 6:02 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Just hope they get it done before 3/10, otherwise some team is going to throw "crazy money" at him
Feb 18, 2015 6:54 AM - 7thFloorRA: If he only wants 9 then get on it already. Someone will throw an extra year in or bump it up to 11 mil.
Feb 18, 2015 2:18 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Bostick heading to the Vikings
Feb 18, 2015 2:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: now there is a surprise.....an ex-packer becoming a Viking
Feb 18, 2015 2:30 PM - dbain21: I hated bostick directly after the NFCCG. Then I felt bad for the guy and realized it wasn't only his fault..and respected the way he went out. Now I can go back to justifiably hating him
Feb 18, 2015 2:38 PM - Raptorman: Don't get to upset with him, it was a waiver claim. He didn't have much choice in the matter. And in reality, he will have a tough time making the team.
Feb 18, 2015 2:40 PM - Raptorman: Although, I would laugh like hell if he becomse a top TE.
Feb 18, 2015 3:12 PM - 7thFloorRA: What a joke. The packers need to get the MIB debriefing gun for all their ex players.
Feb 18, 2015 3:56 PM - Green and Gold: Watching Minnesota scoop up ex-Packers is just comical at this point.
Feb 18, 2015 4:04 PM - Vltrophy: Rofl about vikings signing Bostick. Maybe they think he can give them an inside scoop
Feb 18, 2015 4:05 PM - Vltrophy: Another Packers player goes from a contender to a pretender
Feb 18, 2015 4:09 PM - Raptorman: Camp fodder for sure. He is sitting right now as the 4th TE out of 5 on the roster. Packers have how many TE's now? 2?
Feb 18, 2015 4:52 PM - 7thFloorRA: 3
Feb 18, 2015 4:53 PM - 7thFloorRA: Perillo, RR and Quarless

Feb 18, 2015 8:22 PM - adambr2: Good luck trying to get information out of Bostick, he isn't even remotely familiar with the Packers' offensive playbook.
Feb 18, 2015 8:47 PM - Shawnsta3: Good point^ :roflmao:
Feb 18, 2015 9:11 PM - Green and Gold: They picked him up to learn our game plans. Thankfully, Bostick never knew his assignments.
Feb 19, 2015 6:19 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I smell an onside kick coming Bostick's way during the first Packer Visqueens game :coffee:
Feb 19, 2015 9:23 AM - Green and Gold: I'm hoping Abby steps in as the next return guy. He was fun to watch at Wisconsin. I think he'll probably be a 4th WR this year, hopefully in two or three years he can step up to a top slot.
Feb 19, 2015 9:38 AM - Pokerbrat2000: he has some potential for sure...just hope the concussion history doesn't take him out of the game
Feb 19, 2015 10:44 AM - greenandgold: I love how the Vikings keep getting ex Packers and grossly overpay them.
Feb 19, 2015 11:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Queens need a #2 Receiver.....look for Kevin Dorsey to sign soon
Feb 19, 2015 11:27 AM - 7thFloorRA: Well they already have C Johnson and Jennings. Brad Jones will be there within the week.
Feb 19, 2015 11:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: any rumors of Slocum being hired in MN?
Feb 19, 2015 11:32 AM - Pokerbrat2000: and I missed Brad Jones
Feb 19, 2015 11:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: The last Viking player we signed has kind of gone up in smoke!
Feb 19, 2015 11:46 AM - 7thFloorRA: You didn't miss Brad Jones...I am just cutting him before TT does.
Feb 19, 2015 11:59 AM - 7thFloorRA: I didn't realize Greg Jennings is a strong candidate to be cut by the Vikings.
Feb 19, 2015 12:03 PM - King of Jeans: Jennings days with minny are definitely numbered. Especially if Charles Johnson continues to show consistent play-making ability.
Feb 19, 2015 2:14 PM - Raptorman: Jennings could be gone this year, or asked to take a pay cut. If one of two WR's are available at 11 I think they may take one.
Feb 19, 2015 5:24 PM - Vltrophy: Maybe Jennings could go to Oakland & have a reunion w/McKinze Wodson & J. Jones

Feb 20, 2015 8:26 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I could see that happen
Feb 20, 2015 10:01 AM - Vltrophy: Watching the NFL combine. TEs up next
Feb 20, 2015 10:20 AM - 7thFloorRA: how is Maxx looking? Like a stud?
Feb 20, 2015 10:52 AM - Vltrophy: Packers go D of course rd 1. ILB ,NT or DT. TE in rd 2 or 3
Feb 20, 2015 11:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: agreed....don't see them taking Maxx even if he is still around in the first.....too big of needs on the other side of the ball
Feb 20, 2015 1:24 PM - dbain21: Ding ****...Brad Jones is gone
Feb 20, 2015 1:47 PM - Atesh: Also watching the Combine. Looking forward for TE's
Feb 20, 2015 1:50 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I really like Brad Jones......being on another team
Feb 20, 2015 1:51 PM - Pokerbrat2000: wonder how he will look in Purple?
Feb 20, 2015 3:13 PM - gatorpack: wow Im really impressed with the packers offseason so far!!
Feb 20, 2015 3:48 PM - Vrill: addition through subtraction

Feb 20, 2015 8:18 PM - 2411t: Would you guys be surprised if Ted took 2 ILBs with his first two picks?
Feb 20, 2015 8:34 PM - Carl: I'd be surprised as it would unlikely the same position would be near the top of the board two rounds in a row.
Feb 21, 2015 9:14 AM - Vltrophy: Could possibly draft Abdula from Nebraska to take J. Franklins position
Feb 21, 2015 9:17 AM - Vltrophy: JJ Nelson ran a 4.29. .05 slower than CJ
Feb 21, 2015 9:19 AM - Vltrophy: Looking for him & Gordon to run the 40
Feb 21, 2015 9:32 AM - Green and Gold: Wish Brad had turned out better for us. Before you pile on and drive nails into his coffin, remember that he was a 7th round pick who came into the organization with a lot to prove and minimal expectations. He worked for most of his life to be on an NFL roster and now that's done, at least in titletown. Most importantly, Brad was a Green Bay Packer and I think we should all wish him the best and h
Feb 21, 2015 9:32 AM - Green and Gold: hope he can get another chance with a new team.
Feb 21, 2015 9:44 AM - Vltrophy: I'm sure he'll get another shot somewhere
Feb 21, 2015 11:00 AM - Vltrophy: RBs are next
Feb 21, 2015 11:14 AM - 7thFloorRA: He was a bad football player that was given too much responsibility. Seems like a good dude though. Not everyone is the best of the best of the best.
Feb 21, 2015 11:15 AM - 7thFloorRA: He might be ok as a 4-3 olb. I think being in the middle of a 3-4 was too much for him and he was prone to making horrible decisions at critical times.
Feb 21, 2015 11:32 AM - brandon2348: agreed 7th. Bishop got hurt and Jones was pushed into a spot he never should of been.
Feb 21, 2015 11:50 AM - Cheesehead625: As a Georgia fan Chris Conley would be an awesome pick, but also a pick we don't necessarily need
Feb 21, 2015 2:29 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Think Conley's stock just went up? Was projected as 7th round or FA
Feb 21, 2015 3:35 PM - Green and Gold: I'm really liking this off-season so far.
Feb 21, 2015 3:37 PM - Green and Gold: Is it just me or does MM have a serious fire lit under him? I think it's going to carry over to the players and be a no-nonsense year. Last year we were depending a lot on HHCD who was a rookie, we need Adams to step up big, we needed help at ILB, and I just felt all the pieces weren't quite there. We still almost got to the Super Bowl. This year, all the pieces seem to be there besides maybe ILB.
Feb 21, 2015 3:37 PM - Green and Gold: The one thing that we had this year though was relatively few injuries. Those are the things that you can't account for.
Feb 21, 2015 3:38 PM - Green and Gold: Injuries are like 90% luck past a certain point of conditioning.
Feb 21, 2015 3:49 PM - Poppa San: MM credits the lack of injuries to his ne practice schedule.
Feb 21, 2015 3:50 PM - brandon2348: mm is fired up because he felt we should of won the superbowl last year. I like what they are doing so far too.
Feb 21, 2015 6:24 PM - XPack: Had we not goofed up in the championship match, I thought we would have fared much better against the pats!

Feb 21, 2015 8:57 PM - Vrill: I think Kevin White surpassed Amari Cooper as the best WR in this draft with that 4.3 40 time. White already had all the tools, but it also seems he has the speed too...and lots of it.
Feb 21, 2015 9:06 PM - 7thFloorRA: I love how the kid from ECU just keeps not getting noticed. He could be a slot stud in the right system. I think TT is going to have a hard time not taking him if he is there in round 3.
Feb 21, 2015 9:09 PM - 7thFloorRA: That is James Jones 2.0 right there and James Jones is/was a pretty damn good WR in the league
Feb 22, 2015 11:13 AM - Green and Gold: We still have Starks for one year, but I belive they'd be looking at 3rd round RB's this year in the draft.
Feb 22, 2015 11:13 AM - Green and Gold: I'd like to see what we have in Rajion Neal.
Feb 22, 2015 12:26 PM - 2411t: Blessing in disguise that Paul Dawson's draft stock sank. He could be there in the late 2nd
Feb 22, 2015 12:27 PM - 2411t: ****... projected 3rd to 5th. I'm okay with that
Feb 22, 2015 12:42 PM - Vrill: Something is up with Dawson. When you watch his highlights, he doesn't look like a guy who runs a 4.9....so strange.
Feb 22, 2015 1:25 PM - Cheesehead625: I agree Vrill
Feb 22, 2015 1:25 PM - Cheesehead625: looks much faster and has very good instincts
Feb 22, 2015 1:36 PM - Vrill: Dawson runs away from people on a couple of pick sixes this past season....i wonder if hes injured?
Feb 22, 2015 2:30 PM - 7thFloorRA: maybe that drops him enough that The pack can take Maxx 1st and him 2nd. I would be ok with that
Feb 22, 2015 2:46 PM - Cheesehead625: Pack are linked to Jesse James right now. Wouldn't mind either, especially if Rodgers keeps progressing. We could run 2 tightend sets
Feb 22, 2015 3:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: I do not like what I have read about James. He sounds like a bad football player who has desirable measurables
Feb 22, 2015 4:55 PM - Cheesehead625: what do you mean?
Feb 22, 2015 5:24 PM - 7thFloorRA: I have read where he has bad hands and is a lazy route runner.
Feb 22, 2015 6:17 PM - Cheesehead625: I've heard the exact opposite about his hands. At the combine they were even saying he was catching everything. He does have smaller hands though
Feb 22, 2015 7:55 PM - Green and Gold: Paul Dawson really hurt his stock. What really worries me is that there wasn't just one number that was a little bad, there were a lot of numbers were really bad.
Feb 22, 2015 7:57 PM - Green and Gold: If we can go DE/NT in the first and somehow get Anthony in the second i would lose my ****, i like him much more that McKinney tbh.
Feb 22, 2015 7:57 PM - Green and Gold: Overall if we go ILB in the first id like Kendricks.

Feb 23, 2015 11:25 AM - Cheesehead625: I don't know... I like McKinney still for an all purpose ILB
Feb 23, 2015 11:34 AM - Vltrophy: DE Fowler looked real good
Feb 23, 2015 11:35 AM - Vltrophy: I don't see is getting Maxx unless TT trades back into the 1st rd. 2009 last time he did
Feb 23, 2015 11:36 AM - Vltrophy: Us* not is
Feb 23, 2015 11:37 AM - Vltrophy: Some dude jumped 12"3 in standing long jump
Feb 23, 2015 11:41 AM - Vltrophy: Phillips back issue will hurt him but the Packers if medical staff gives him a green light he would be tempting
Feb 23, 2015 11:41 AM - Vltrophy: Hoping Gordon doesn't go to the vikings
Feb 23, 2015 11:42 AM - Vltrophy: Not taking a WR but Kevin White looked good
Feb 23, 2015 1:02 PM - Vltrophy: Got an update on my phone saying the Raiders to make a run at Cobb. If they can't come to an agreement Packers put the FT on him. No way he goes to Oakland. Peterson says he's not going back to the vikings so Gordon is an option for them
Feb 23, 2015 1:04 PM - Vltrophy: Vikings at the bottom again lol
Feb 23, 2015 1:28 PM - Carl: Cobb is not going anywhere
Feb 23, 2015 2:07 PM - Raptorman: Peterson does not have much choice. And not sure why they would be at the bottom. They weren't this past year and Peterson didn't play. Matter of fact they leaerned to play without him.
Feb 23, 2015 2:09 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Bears will be at the bottom
Feb 23, 2015 6:47 PM - Vltrophy: TT will use the FT if necessary
Feb 23, 2015 7:17 PM - adambr2: Sure he has a choice. He can hold out, or demand a trade. I really don't think the Vikings are going to be willing to play a game of chicken with the face of their franchise the last 8 years. They'll get what they can for him. Or, they'll be stubborn, and AP will either refuse to report or play unhappy and be a distraction.

Feb 24, 2015 6:18 AM - Pokerbrat2000: The media will continue to eat this story up, since there isn't much else.....I would be surprised to see AP back in MN.....early rumors may be true......if they can't sign Murray, AP may end up in Dallas
Feb 24, 2015 6:19 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Doubt the Ravens will want to touch him, considering the Ray Rice incident
Feb 24, 2015 8:03 AM - 7thFloorRA: I don't care for this story that says the Raiders are willing to throw piles of cash to get Cobb.
Feb 24, 2015 8:04 AM - 7thFloorRA: If I were TT I would give him a fair offer an a deadline to sign that offer that is before FA opens. Take it or leave it. I would not get into a bidding war with a **** team that is willing to burn money
Feb 24, 2015 8:16 AM - adambr2: I agree. People keep saying Cobb is going nowhere. Well, that's not totally up to us. If Cobb thinks he can do better in free agency than a fair offer from us and wants to try, nothing we can do about it. Other than franchise him which we probably shouldn't.
Feb 24, 2015 8:35 AM - 7thFloorRA: The depth without him scares me.
Feb 24, 2015 9:56 AM - MadCat: Me too! Mr. Reliable in crunch time.
Feb 24, 2015 11:23 AM - 7thFloorRA: I wonder how this Dez Bryant bombshell video is going to alter the WR market. I suppose it is going to add 1 mil per to Cobb's asking price.
Feb 24, 2015 12:20 PM - Cheesehead625: What's this video you speak of?
Feb 24, 2015 1:02 PM - 7thFloorRA: Its some video that is to be released today that depicts acts said to be 5x worse than those of Ray Rice
Feb 24, 2015 1:41 PM - Cheesehead625: Wow!
Feb 24, 2015 2:18 PM - Vrill: ive not seen or heard of this Dez video yet.....
Feb 24, 2015 2:23 PM - 7thFloorRA: http://terezowens.com/dez-bryant-scandalous-video-to-be-released/
Feb 24, 2015 2:34 PM - Raptorman: Blah, blah, blah blah blah. until/unless it is released, it nothing but smoke.
Feb 24, 2015 2:35 PM - Raptorman: My question is this. If it's that bad, why has it been held back?
Feb 24, 2015 2:41 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Exactly
Feb 24, 2015 2:46 PM - 7thFloorRA: Probably because someone was trying to extort him. Pretty sure Dez acknowledged that it exists and that it is old and he has changed.
Feb 24, 2015 4:03 PM - Cheesehead625: Ya I'm pretty sure it's a video of him hitting his mother and people are trying to get money out of it.
Feb 24, 2015 5:02 PM - Vrill: They stated its "5x worse" than the Rice video...if thats true, he's done. No matter when the video was taken. He'll be suspended while legal issues go down.
Feb 24, 2015 5:29 PM - 7thFloorRA: Did Aquib Talib not lay his mother out in the driveway of his or her house a few years ago?
Feb 24, 2015 5:51 PM - Vrill: Would a video of him striking his Mom get him suspended?
Feb 24, 2015 5:59 PM - Vrill: http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/17/dez-bryant-police-report-911-mother-bra/ So the video of THIS may have surfaced?
Feb 24, 2015 6:11 PM - Vrill: people are wondering why wait this long to bring forth the video...well, what a better time to do it...his contract is up....someone is trying to ruin Dez if there is truth in it
Feb 24, 2015 6:31 PM - adambr2: That just doesn't make sense to me. How is Dez' career in danger over a 3 year old video about an incident that the NFL and everyone else already knows about? I think they all know that hitting your mother and ripping her bra is a bad thing, with or without a video.
Feb 24, 2015 6:33 PM - Vrill: Remember, it was before the NFLs big domestic violence push so if it's rehashed a certain way I guess anything is possible..
Feb 24, 2015 6:34 PM - Vrill: and when you put a visual out there it brings a whole new dimension..
Feb 24, 2015 6:38 PM - adambr2: I can't see the NFL punishing a player for an incident that happened literally 2 years before they laid new groundwork for domestic violence penalties. That will open up an enormous can of worms.
Feb 24, 2015 6:39 PM - Vrill: Public perception will change if there is a video showing him assaulting his mother. There will be pressure on Goodell and the league office to do something about it.
Feb 24, 2015 6:44 PM - adambr2: How? Are we going to go back years and do this every time? This is 3 seasons ago. You said he'll be suspended while legal issues go down, what legal issues? The charges were dismissed, he can't be re-charged.
Feb 24, 2015 6:45 PM - Vrill: ...the public outcry will be huge. It'll be all over the major media websites. Sportcenter will discuss it....it'll be all you hear about. So yes, Goodell and the league will feel major heat to do something about it.
Feb 24, 2015 6:45 PM - Vrill: as I said man, put a visual with something and it changes everything.
Feb 24, 2015 6:46 PM - adambr2: As I asked man, what legal issues are there for him to be suspended pending?
Feb 24, 2015 6:47 PM - Vrill: and while the charges may of been dismissed, if there is a video showing him striking his mom, then the court of public opinion will speak. we all know how that ends up......It'll put Goodell into a pressure cooker
Feb 24, 2015 6:50 PM - Vrill: and what happens inside and outside of Football do not necessarly corelate. a video of Dez assaulting his mom maybe enough for Goodell to suspend him under the current domestic violence rules.
Feb 24, 2015 6:53 PM - 7thFloorRA: The league sponsors and cowboys sponsors are going to force the issue like they did with Peterson.

Feb 24, 2015 at 6:56 PM - adambr2: Look, I'm no fan of Dez. But unless this video is something new, nothing is going to come out of it. You can't just go back and enforce modern discipline on historic and closed events every time new evidence comes out. Can't happen, won't happen, we'll be looking at a possible strike from the NFLPA . They have to draw the line somewhere. Obviously you disagree, we'll see.
Feb 24, 2015 at 6:56 PM - adambr2: I think this is little more than a flimsy extortion attempt.
Feb 24, 2015 at 6:59 PM - adambr2: If it's something new, not related to the 2012 incident than yes I would agree he's in for it.
Feb 24, 2015 at 7:00 PM - Vrill: Well, to be fair, the 2012 incident is just part of the theories on what it could be (if its anything at all)
Feb 24, 2015 at 7:01 PM - Vrill: Either way, I bet Dez Bryant is just a little nervous right now thinking about things he's done that might've been videotaped. I know I would be... LOL
Feb 24, 2015 at 7:21 PM - 7thFloorRA: From what I have been reading he knows exactly what it is.
Feb 24, 2015 at 7:27 PM - Vrill: Is it bad you think? Or is this all blown out of proportion?

Feb 24, 2015 8:50 PM - Green and Gold: I have a feeling that if TT isn't in love with his 1st round options he'll trade out to get more pics. If we could trade #30 for an early 2nd and an early 4th, I think that would be a good value.
Feb 24, 2015 9:11 PM - 7thFloorRA: I can absolutely see him trading #30. There seems to be alot of value in the 30-50 range.
Feb 24, 2015 9:53 PM - Vrill: Yeah, i was thinking that too...#30 seems like a prime position to trade. Maybe pick up an extra 3rd or 4th rounder or something. ......i think if one of our guys arent there at 30, we'll trade it and pick up an extra pick or two.
Feb 25, 2015 8:47 AM - Green and Gold: I'd also like to see someone drafted that could be a return guy at some point. We should have a couple extra picks in R6/7.
Feb 25, 2015 9:32 AM - Raptorman: Waiting for that Dez Bryant video. Not holding my breath.
Feb 25, 2015 9:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Had to delete my previous post on the Dez situation, now that I read more about it. Wouldn't surprise me if he lost his cool and someone captured it, but going to save judgement until this story is actually authenticated.
Feb 25, 2015 10:33 AM - 7thFloorRA: Jacoby Jones has been released. I wouldn't mind cutting Boykin and grabbing him and letting him return and maybe play some wr.
Feb 25, 2015 12:02 PM - 7thFloorRA: He got released over 3.3 mil i think. 1 yr 2 mil?? I'm good with that. That is a minor pickup that could pay major dividends.
Feb 25, 2015 12:06 PM - Vrill: and Jones is still a elite returner and a good deep threat
Feb 25, 2015 12:12 PM - 7thFloorRA: I can't believe the report today that The Pack has almost moved on from Cobb due to him wanting to test the waters and the bidding war the bad teams will have for him.
Feb 25, 2015 12:32 PM - Pokerbrat2000: problem with Cobb and perhaps Bulaga.....middle tier talent and position looking for top dollar
Feb 25, 2015 12:33 PM - Pokerbrat2000: personally love Cobb, but I think part of his value comes with the Packer system/Rodgers and he may end up like Jennings and Jones..... finding out, only the money is greener on other teams
Feb 25, 2015 12:55 PM - bigblue bay packers: I agree 100%.
Feb 25, 2015 1:37 PM - Raptorman: Hawk cut.
Feb 25, 2015 1:44 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Just saw that pop up over on PFT
Feb 25, 2015 1:57 PM - 7thFloorRA: Crabtree has had his moments of being a jerk but he could be an affordable replacement for Cobb.
Feb 25, 2015 2:11 PM - Vrill: There is no excuse to not re-sign Cobb. We have over 30 mil in cap room. Hes worth every penny of 8-9 mil a year.
Feb 25, 2015 2:12 PM - Vrill: Keep the guys that Rodgers trusts and has a rapport with........
Feb 25, 2015 2:15 PM - dbain21: hearing reggie is gone in detroit
Feb 25, 2015 2:31 PM - PackwillBEback: LOL idiots not wanting to re-sign Cobb. What a joke.
Feb 25, 2015 2:31 PM - PackwillBEback: People here always want to keep guys like Kuhn and Jordy, but not guys like Jones and Cobb. Wonder what the difference is...I'd hate to think it is skin color
Feb 25, 2015 2:35 PM - 7thFloorRA: I want him back but I am not paying him more than Jordy. Jordy is a #1 and draws double teams. Cobb is a #2. I would pay them equally. I just think other teams are offering WAY more.
Feb 25, 2015 2:35 PM - 7thFloorRA: Kuhn costs 1 freaking mil per. That is peanuts compared to these guys.
Feb 25, 2015 3:03 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I for one, didn't say don't resign him.......but if he wants more then the Packers think he is worth....then he is gone
Feb 25, 2015 3:04 PM - Pokerbrat2000: and I don't blame Cobb for going to another team that may be desperate enough and willing to pay him $12 mil a year
Feb 25, 2015 3:05 PM - Vrill: I bet we offer Cobb 9 mil/year max.....
Feb 25, 2015 3:09 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I'll admit I was one person screaming to keep James Jones and we did just fine without him
Feb 25, 2015 3:16 PM - Powarun: I want to keep Cobb. ANd wow Hawk gone
Feb 25, 2015 3:18 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Hawk was a no brainer to cut....now the only question will be if they bring him back again at a reduced salary
Feb 25, 2015 3:24 PM - Vltrophy: Hawk was a good team player
Feb 25, 2015 3:26 PM - Vltrophy: Imo Cobb'll get $7.5-8M. He can't expect to get what he's asking for. U start high knowing u will have to meet in the middle
Feb 25, 2015 3:27 PM - Vltrophy: Raiders would love Cobb. Probably even give him the $9M a yr
Feb 25, 2015 4:34 PM - Vltrophy: Expect BoyKin to get cut also. Either to make more rm to sign players or planning something special during the draft
Feb 25, 2015 4:35 PM - Vltrophy: Although we have plenty of cap space
Feb 25, 2015 4:41 PM - 7thFloorRA: With all this money TT is going to get crazy and get Suh or something

Feb 25, 2015 at 6:00 PM - Vltrophy: TT may actually trade back into the first rd since 2009 when we drafted Raji & Matthews
Feb 25, 2015 at 6:09 PM - rodell330: Great point about Jordy ...I didn't hear one person day not to pay Jordy but there are folks talking about let Cobb go? Seriously? Just be quiet smh
Feb 25, 2015 at 6:28 PM - 7thFloorRA: I am pretty sure no one said let Cobb go until Cobb and his agent decided to test the market.
Feb 25, 2015 at 6:49 PM - Raptorman: So in other words, if a player really wants to see what he is worth in FA, then the Packers should no longer keep them.
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:02 PM - 7thFloorRA: What a player is worth to desperate teams with money to burn > What TT is going to pay
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:02 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think he makes them a very fair offer and he is not going to get into a bidding war. I don't have a problem with that.
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:06 PM - rodell330: You mussed the point bro...you missed it smh.
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:08 PM - 7thFloorRA: TT paid out the *** for Shields last year so I don't think he is only paying white players
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:15 PM - 7thFloorRA: I also remember reading plenty of comments where people were ready to move on to Kuhn. The dude makes 1 mil per year and is a safety valve to keep Rodgers in 1 piece when backup lineman suck at blocking.
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:16 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think TT has so much confidence (and he absolutely should) in his ability to draft and have MM develop wr's that he will set a limit and let them walk. He has let everyone of them walk except Jordy WHO SIGNED AN EARLY EXTENSION twice
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:18 PM - Dan115: 7th I agree with you
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:21 PM - 7thFloorRA:
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:22 PM - Cheesehead625: At some point though it's not about the fact that we can develop. It's about keeping Rodger's favorite targets consistent
Feb 25, 2015 at 7:26 PM - 7thFloorRA: I would love to keep them all. I would not love to see the rest of the team with 40 mil per year in payroll going to the wr position though.

Feb 25, 2015 8:14 PM - Green and Gold: RIP "AJ Hawk helmet lost tracker"
Feb 25, 2015 8:15 PM - Green and Gold: Looks like we're going to start from nearly scratch at ILB. I like it. That's the only position on the team that needs a complete do-over.
Feb 25, 2015 8:30 PM - 7thFloorRA: Barrington is going to be there still. There are also a few cats on the PS they have been grooming. There will definitely be more additions to the stable.
Feb 25, 2015 8:42 PM - Green and Gold: Brandon Spikes is a really intriguing prospect - Buffalo signed him for $3m last season but they're unlikely to resign him just because they're loaded with linebackers.
Feb 25, 2015 8:52 PM - 7thFloorRA: Willis intrigues me once he gets released. I need to see some film of spikes. I haven't really seen that much of him.
Feb 25, 2015 9:14 PM - Cheesehead625: Willis is getting up there, but there is no doubt he can still play at an elite level. I just worry about the money he will command.
Feb 26, 2015 9:14 AM - Pokerbrat2000: "HUGE" news today out of GB Packers sign ILB Josh Francis from Wichita Falls Nighthawks of IFL
Feb 26, 2015 9:36 AM - Cheesehead625: What do you guys think of Jerrell Freeman?
Feb 26, 2015 9:36 AM - Cheesehead625: lol Pokerbrat
Feb 26, 2015 11:13 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I only know what I read online about Freeman, sounds like a decent player...but since he is a restricted FA, not sure if TT will be pursuing him
Feb 26, 2015 12:48 PM - Vltrophy: Rumor has it Packers will let Cobb test free agency. Raiders will be all over that. Even if the raiders give him $9M a yr Cobb would be smart to take less & play for a SB contender & not a pretender
Feb 26, 2015 1:17 PM - bigblue bay packers: If Cobb walks away from the Packers for a few $ every fan from Ky will be very disapointed I'd have to call him a Dumb A, just to be a part of the Packers is a BIG DEAL.
Feb 26, 2015 1:22 PM - Pokerbrat2000: He wouldn't be the first or last to walk away from a good team and situation to make more money.
Feb 26, 2015 1:23 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Hopefully he is still in contact with Jennings and Jones and asks how its working out for them
Feb 26, 2015 1:47 PM - Narveson: If Cobb gets to FA, it's over for him in GB.
Feb 26, 2015 2:01 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: In the end, he has to do what's best for him and his family. He only has so many years to make as much money as possible.
Feb 26, 2015 2:10 PM - Vrill: if he hits FA, its not over for him in GB. Everyone wants to test FA for leverage purposes. fact is, we have no idea what is going on in Cobb's head right now. Maybe he knows hes staying in GB...but wants to test the market. everyone wants to be the popular kid everyone else wants once in their life.
Feb 26, 2015 2:20 PM - Vrill: Fact is, if we offer Cobb a contract that is in the same neighborhood that Oakland or someone else offers him, he stays with us. The ONLY way he leaves is if we low ball him...which I don't see happening.
Feb 26, 2015 3:02 PM - Narveson: Just like Greg Jennings right?
Feb 26, 2015 3:10 PM - sschind: Vltrophy-even if the raiders offer him 9 million the Packers would be smart to match it. The problem with letting a player test the market is sometimes they don't bother letting you even consider matching the offer they get.
Feb 26, 2015 3:11 PM - Vrill: Narveson, Greg Jennings was entering his second contract round with us. We always re-sign our players after their rookie deal is up...but the contract after that? its a crap shoot.
Feb 26, 2015 3:13 PM - Vrill: Its what happened to Jones and Jennings and it'll happen to Nelson too most likely. But Cobb stays until his second contract is up like the others.
Feb 26, 2015 3:31 PM - PackwillBEback: If Aaron wants him, keep him
Feb 26, 2015 4:54 PM - Packman Chant: Mike Wallace to GB
Feb 26, 2015 4:57 PM - desertdog55: Steven Jackson released by Atlanta....all the idiots that wanted the packers to pay out the *** to sign him...smh
Feb 26, 2015 5:07 PM - rodell330: Calm down AtL had one of the worse offensive lines I've ever seen.
Feb 26, 2015 5:17 PM - desertdog55: lmao
Feb 26, 2015 6:31 PM - Cheesehead625: Wallace? No thanks
Feb 26, 2015 7:05 PM - longtimefan: Cobb is on record saying dont believe eveerything you hear in the media

Feb 26, 2015 8:28 PM - 7thFloorRA: I've heard that Cobb's agent is kind of a piece of work. He supposedly was Clifton's agent who shipped clifton off to a hotel to make the Pack think he was visiting other teams to drive the price up.
Feb 27, 2015 5:21 AM - Green and Gold: ILB Josh Francis looks to be a depth/STs signing. Here's to hoping he can be a killer gunner on STs and maybe give us another physical presence on the inside.
Feb 27, 2015 11:31 AM - Cheesehead625: I didn't know Clifton's agent did that 7th. That's hilarious and brilliant
Feb 27, 2015 12:44 PM - Pokerbrat2000: This is sooooo wrong.....IMO ........... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...up-lambeau-field-for-favre-jersey-retirement/
Feb 27, 2015 12:46 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Just do it in the stadium.......once again Packer brass pretending to meet Favre halfway
Feb 27, 2015 1:31 PM - Poppa San: RIP Mr. Spock
Feb 27, 2015 2:31 PM - Carl: Darnell Docket could be on TTs radar since signing him wouldn't hurt comp picks.
Feb 27, 2015 3:45 PM - PackerDNA: Article at www.cbssports.com by Jason LaCanfora on how there could be a lot of big name WR's let go for cap reasons in the coming days. The point of it is it could end up a buyers market and make it tougher for guys like Cobb to get huge contracts. More pretty girls at the dance, less options/demand.

Feb 27, 2015 8:44 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Well, everything I'm reading on the Packers facebook seems to indicate they want to keep Cobb
Feb 27, 2015 8:45 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Tell ya though I'm disappointed we didn't keep Bostick, I wanted him tp come back so he could stick it to those twitter weaklings for that cowardly act of theirs
Feb 27, 2015 9:45 PM - Green and Gold: Is Cobb worth paying 8 million a year? Absolutely. Is he worth 8 million a year guaranteed, no matter what happens, for 5 years? No.
Feb 28, 2015 2:12 AM - Dan115: Packer in Car--- Cobb do not believe the media -
Feb 28, 2015 11:24 AM - sschind: Green and Gold He won't get that contract from anyone. Most he gets guaranteed is 20 million and that might be high, I'd say 15-16 tops
Feb 28, 2015 12:44 PM - Vltrophy: Jordy only got $14 guarrented
Feb 28, 2015 12:45 PM - Vltrophy: Don't see it hap'nin but Julius Thomas would look good in green & gold
Feb 28, 2015 12:46 PM - Vltrophy: He could help Rodgers develop his skills plus add more comp at that position
Feb 28, 2015 12:50 PM - Vltrophy: If the Packers do allow Cobb to test the FA market hopefully he'll give us a shot to match or beat it
Feb 28, 2015 3:48 PM - Vltrophy: U guys get a chance check out Lacys new ride. Totally awesome. Black corvette. What a sweet ride

Mar 1, 2015 9:12 AM - longtimefan: get ready for threads to be made for every big named player that is realsed in becoming a Packer...Happens every year
Mar 1, 2015 10:04 AM - Carl: Already happening LTF
Mar 1, 2015 10:46 AM - desertdog55: lol, I mentioned that the Packers did well by not overpaying for Steven Jackson a few years ago, and got attacked right away. The same thing happens every year.
Mar 1, 2015 10:50 AM - Powarun: I have been thinking, Cobb should stay in GB for another 4 to 5 years then move on... sadly
Mar 1, 2015 11:12 AM - Vltrophy: 9 days until FA
Mar 1, 2015 12:50 PM - Vltrophy: hope we sign Cobb instead of letting him test the FA market
Mar 1, 2015 1:24 PM - Green and Gold: please just do it already
Mar 1, 2015 5:17 PM - Green and Gold: Tired of looking at this enormous cap number with 2 of our best players waiting for a contract.
Mar 1, 2015 6:00 PM - Narveson: It's going to come down to the wire like it always has. Shields was signed a few hours before FA started last year.
Mar 1, 2015 7:12 PM - Vrill: It seems Vincent Jackson and Brandon Marshall both maybe waived and will be FA's
Mar 1, 2015 7:19 PM - adambr2: There's no doubt a lot of factors going into why Cobb and Bulaga aren't re-signed yet. Just because you have cap room doesn't mean you just blow them away with an offer they can't refuse. Stick to your number.

Mar 1, 2015 10:54 PM - Cheesehead625: Let's all just R-E-L-A-X. Things will sort themselves out and we'll be alright
Mar 1, 2015 11:08 PM - Vrill: If big name WR's like Vincent Jackson and Brandon Marshall get waived like its being reported, then maybe Cobb's overall demand will dip some....it seems some big name WR's will be on the market soon
Mar 2, 2015 5:17 AM - 7thFloorRA: I woke up to read about Jarrett Bush getting arrested over the weekend for being drunk and disorderly. Not the worst offense in the world but he is old and wasn't his usual useful self last season on special teams.
Mar 2, 2015 5:42 AM - rodell330: Bush should've been gone with Slocum... He's wasting another roster spot. A good ST coach can get the most out if what he has.
Mar 2, 2015 6:00 AM - Vltrophy: players like to be politically correct & say they want to stay w/whatever team they're with. I don't see AJ playing for the Vikings.
Mar 2, 2015 6:03 AM - Vltrophy: MJ is the 1741st worlds richest person
Mar 2, 2015 6:04 AM - Vltrophy: according to Forbes mag
Mar 2, 2015 9:15 AM - Green and Gold: Being drunk in public is far from a big deal imo
Mar 2, 2015 9:15 AM - Green and Gold: He wasn't driving. It could be worse.
Mar 2, 2015 9:20 AM - Green and Gold: The last time the Bears won the division, the Packers won the Super Bowl. I love that fact.
Mar 2, 2015 9:42 AM - Narveson: The Bucs will keep Vincent Jackson for next year.
Mar 2, 2015 10:25 AM - Cheesehead625: Well that sucks… I was excited when I heard Vjax and Marshall might be released. A flood of the market would help our cause in many ways
Mar 2, 2015 10:51 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Everything I have read, says it will be a buyers market for WR's, so not too worried about a few of them resigning ......... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer...-sorry-wide-receivers-but-its-a-buyers-market
Mar 2, 2015 12:22 PM - Vltrophy: Patriots put the FT on their K. Giants did it a few years ago. JPP may get the FT
Mar 2, 2015 12:47 PM - 7thFloorRA: The Eagles signed Brad Jones!!!! amazing
Mar 2, 2015 1:33 PM - Vltrophy: Just saw the headline bout Jones. Crazy
Mar 2, 2015 1:34 PM - Vltrophy: Someone else's problem now
Mar 2, 2015 2:01 PM - Pokerbrat2000: that's good news...means he probably won't be back in GB :D
Mar 2, 2015 2:30 PM - Green and Gold: Wish him the best of luck. Not too familiar with the Eagles ILB situation but I hope for their sake he's just signing on as a depth guy.

Mar 3, 2015 6:40 AM - Green and Gold: So either they're very close to a long-term deal, or they've decided to let Cobb walk. Please be the former.
Mar 3, 2015 6:41 AM - Green and Gold: What FA WR would you want to take Cobb's place?
Mar 3, 2015 7:25 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally I like Harry Douglas if we have to shop FA WR's to replace Cobb
Mar 3, 2015 7:28 AM - Pokerbrat2000: but they are also saying that this draft is heavily loaded with talent at WR, so grabbing one in the 2nd or 3rd round isn't out of the question
Mar 3, 2015 7:38 AM - 7thFloorRA: 12 mil per year for a #2/slot wr is a joke. I would just forget his agents phone number with that crap.
Mar 3, 2015 7:46 AM - sschind: cheesehead- You might think it would help out cause but then again it makes more teams looking for WRs and if they are dumping older ones they will be looking for younger ones.
Mar 3, 2015 9:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I love Cobb.....but I think anything above the $9 mill/year is overpaying him and his position.....he isn't the only tool in the arsenal and may not be fully replaceable, but can't see spending more on him
Mar 3, 2015 10:01 AM - tynimiller: If we didn't have Rodgers I'd say it would be worth over 9mill....but we have the best QB and Lacy and Nelson and some up and comers.
Mar 3, 2015 1:33 PM - Vltrophy: May(not likely)get A. Johnson at a good price if he wants to play for a contender
Mar 3, 2015 1:48 PM - Vltrophy: Like to keep both but I'd hafta take Bulaga over Cobb. No brainer
Mar 3, 2015 2:07 PM - Raptorman: I love how all year there was nothing but praise for Cobb. Now when it comes time to pay him, he's not worth $9 million a year.
Mar 3, 2015 2:07 PM - Vrill: because WR is easier to replace than OL
Mar 3, 2015 4:03 PM - Vltrophy: slot receivers aren't pd that much
Mar 3, 2015 4:04 PM - Vltrophy: eagles trading McCoy to bills for LB
Mar 3, 2015 4:08 PM - Vrill: more proof teams don't want to pay RBs top dollar anymore
Mar 3, 2015 4:21 PM - Vrill: Eagles releasing DE/OLB Trent Cole too.....
Mar 3, 2015 4:22 PM - Vltrophy: Colts interested in A. Johnson
Mar 3, 2015 5:23 PM - 7thFloorRA: and all will be for not when they draft Mariotta who I think will be a huge bust
Mar 3, 2015 5:49 PM - Vrill: Eagles youth movement continues
Mar 3, 2015 6:19 PM - rodell330: Terrible trade smh...McCoy makes that offense go
Mar 3, 2015 6:22 PM - 7thFloorRA: Ol Chip probalby thinks he will get Mariotta 1st and then if he even has a 2nd left will take Duke Johnson and his offense will be ready to go. Maybe he had to dump McCoy to keep Maclin.
Mar 3, 2015 6:24 PM - greenandgold: I'm still waiting to see Sanchez get dumped again. What a loser!\

Mar 3, 2015 9:32 PM - ExpatPacker: Raptorman: except the rumors are that he's not asking for $9 mill per year but something like$11-12 mill per year. No way the Packers should give him that kind of money
Mar 3, 2015 11:05 PM - Cheesehead625: I could be wrong, but I think it's a great trade. Running backs average 5 good years in the NFl. They just traded a RB on the decline for a 3rd year possible stud LB. Pair that with getting Gordon or Gurley in the first with Hundley in the second and this could be brilliant. We'll see.
Mar 4, 2015 12:16 AM - Zartan: After thinking about this alot. Do we honestly need Cobb?
Mar 4, 2015 12:19 AM - Zartan: We have some great up and comers at WR. Devante Adams hes going to be great,Jared Abbrederis when he heals up fully. Jeff Janis
Mar 4, 2015 12:20 AM - Zartan: The two playoff games Adams is showing great stuff for the future
Mar 4, 2015 1:03 AM - ExpatPacker: Adams has shown a lot of potential, but I wouldn't count him as Cobb's replacement yet. The same is true of Abbredaris and Janis. They COULD replace Cobb but they won't be as effective as Cobb, at least not for a while.
Mar 4, 2015 1:04 AM - ExpatPacker: Both Janis and Abbred are way, way to much unproven. They've not even seen a game day yet.
Mar 4, 2015 1:06 AM - ExpatPacker: I think if the Packers do lose Cobb, it would be unadvisable just to rely on what they have. I'd go with Either a very promising slot receiver in the draft like Tyler Lockett, or a FA like Torrey who can be got at a much lower price.
Mar 4, 2015 6:07 AM - Green and Gold: The Packers clearly believe they’re making the right call. In a week or so, everyone will know if they actually did.
Mar 4, 2015 6:07 AM - Green and Gold: Too many guys are shortsighted. Look at Mike Wallace. He signed a 5 year, $60M deal from Miami. He's collected just two years of that contract, and now he's probably going to be cut
Mar 4, 2015 6:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: This will never happen, but my "pipe dream" for the NFL would be all contracts would be performance based. If every yard, point, catch, block, tackle, interception, etc.... translated into $$'s imagine the intensity of the game. Not saying guys aren't putting it all out there, but how often have we seen guys not earn the big contracts?
Mar 4, 2015 6:46 AM - Pokerbrat2000: of course as someone that favors the Cap, not sure how that would work in this whole scenario......guess each player is paid a base salary (for cap purposes) and the rest is earned
Mar 4, 2015 7:15 AM - Greenbayphil: I'd rather not overpay Cobb. I would have thought maybe $10mil/season but not more, TT & Co. have done a great job drafting receivers.
Mar 4, 2015 7:44 AM - 7thFloorRA: If he didn't have sexton as his agent I think this gets done but this guy will hold out for the moon
Mar 4, 2015 8:08 AM - sschind: Expat- first rumor was 9 million second rumor was 12 million. Which rumor are you going to believe?
Mar 4, 2015 8:10 AM - sschind: Zartan. On what planet do Abbrederris and Janis qualify as great up and comers? Abbrederis missed his rookie year with an injury and Janis was active for 3 games and caught 2 passes.
Mar 4, 2015 8:11 AM - sschind: Green and Gold- actually we probably won't know until the middle of next season some time.
Mar 4, 2015 8:30 AM - longtimefan: here come the troy polamalu threads ;)
Mar 4, 2015 8:45 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL LTF......I think Troy will quietly retire......
Mar 4, 2015 8:52 AM - 7thFloorRA: The latest on the numbers I heard was that he and his agent turned down a 5 yr offer with the pack that was between 40-45 mil
Mar 4, 2015 8:57 AM - longtimefan: 8-9 mill per year....wonder if he has talked to James Jones??? if it is worth it?
Mar 4, 2015 8:59 AM - 7thFloorRA: It appears that his agent wants to get these others teams to bid up TT but I fear TT will just say enough of that and walk away. That 3 day period where he can talk to other teams before free agency will be key. I think that is how he signed shields last year
Mar 4, 2015 9:07 AM - longtimefan: from my understanding, the Pack place a value on each player and wont go much higher than that...maybe the 9 mill is the highest they go for Cobb--maybe they will go to 10
Mar 4, 2015 9:34 AM - 7thFloorRA: That is what I gather as well. I don't have a problem with that philosophy.
Mar 4, 2015 9:58 AM - sjb12681: Bills are on one. Just traded Vikes for Cassell too
Mar 4, 2015 10:26 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Everyone had all this love for Cobb, but all of the sudden he is the villain
Mar 4, 2015 10:29 AM - 7thFloorRA: I think everybody loves the Packers and they love Cobb on the packers helping them win. I don't like his agent holding them hostage and compromising the future of the team by asking them to pay the stupid crazy money that a desperate and terrible Jax/oak team would.
Mar 4, 2015 10:55 AM - sjb12681: 12 million? His agent is looking out for his best interests, but $12 isnt a Cobb level player number. That is Dez talent (but not with his issues), Randy moss in his prime, Megatron type money
Mar 4, 2015 10:57 AM - sjb12681: Cobb is very talented, but that is #1 receiver, changes the offense, doesnt need other players to make the team better. $12m is for gamechangers. Cobb is a great piece in the puzzle, and can no doubt become that guy, but he isnt the "WOW" 12m reciever that you see the moment they first come into the NFL, they are not a normal player.
Mar 4, 2015 10:59 AM - sjb12681: Calvin Johnson Lions $113,450,000 $16,207,143
Mar 4, 2015 11:00 AM - sjb12681: Percy Harvin Jets $64,245,000 $12,849,000
Mar 4, 2015 11:00 AM - sjb12681: Demaryius Thomas Broncos $12,823,000 $12,823,000
Mar 4, 2015 11:00 AM - sjb12681: Dez Bryant Cowboys $12,823,000 $12,823,000
Mar 4, 2015 11:00 AM - sjb12681: Mike Wallace Dolphins $60,000,000 $12,000,000
Mar 4, 2015 11:01 AM - sjb12681: I wouldnt pay him more than Jordy, and there are 10 other guys on that list that are making more than Nelson

Mar 4, 2015 at 11:03 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: I agree that he shouldn't make more per year than Jordy
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:18 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I hold no ill feelings towards Cobb if he takes the money and runs......why not, we all probably would. Now if he pulls a Greg Jennings, I will feel differntly
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: But we all know TT will not overpay a FA.....ours or another teams...and in TT I trust
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:21 AM - adambr2: I still say it's likely we kick the tires on a guy like Eddie Royal who can step in and be a slot receiver and will be much, much cheaper.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: all depends on what they value Cobbs's knowledge of the system to be
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: this is good news.........Guion has agreed to a deferred prosecution agreement that is expected to be signed in the next few weeks. The deal would result in probation for Guion and should allow Guion to be available for the 2015 season
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:24 AM - adambr2: Wouldn't he still be subject to a suspension under the personal conduct policy?
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:28 AM - sjb12681: yes
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:28 AM - 7thFloorRA: 1 game maybe.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:28 AM - sjb12681: And that was a lot of drugs, cash and loaded gun.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM - 7thFloorRA: i thought the gun was unloaded and in a carrying case.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM - sjb12681: Goodell will have him suspended, just hard to say to what degree. I think this would be of benefit to us if we want him on the cheap
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM - 7thFloorRA: he had a paper trail for the cash. it was not drug dealing money
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM - Pokerbrat2000: not that much drugs, cash was his paychecks and gun wasn't loaded and it was in case with proper papers
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - sjb12681: it was unloaded, my fault
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: wasn't a brilliant move on his part, but seems like the pieces are all fitting together that he is just a recreational pot smoker that likes to carry cash safely
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - sjb12681: Umm...
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - sjb12681: http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2015/0204/nfl_crime_scene_300x300.jpg
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - sjb12681: That is not something you should be carrying for personal use, across the board.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM - sjb12681: That is something you would say DAAAAAMMMNNN>... if you saw cops pull out of a car on COPS
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: as a former pot smoker....with friends......wasn't that much pot
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:31 AM - sjb12681: were you doing it with $200k and a gun on you? Becuase if so, you likely were just as dumb... No offense
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: don't know the laws where its legal, but guessing in those states, the pot would have been a mute point
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:32 AM - Pokerbrat2000: lol...no offense taken......wasn't trying to say he made brilliant decisions......just that he isn't the gun toting, drug dealer that many thought when this first happened
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Im guessing he isn't the only NFL'er that carries a legal firearm as well as a large amount of cash
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I wish him luck in getting the money back.......sounds like its going to be a separate battle, which I just don't understand
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:38 AM - 7thFloorRA: I really think he was just acting as Santa-smoke-a-lot. He was celebrating his bonus by giving some of it back to his family and friends and he was going to smoke it up with them too.
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:45 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I agree 7th
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:52 AM - sjb12681: either way we should be able to stash him if TT wants him now
Mar 4, 2015 at 11:58 AM - 7thFloorRA: I got Bill Michaels to go over the story of Cobb's agent and what he did during Chad Clifton's negotiation years ago. Its worth going back and listening to if you get a chance. It gives you an idea of what lengths sexton will go to in order to get his client more money.
Mar 4, 2015 at 12:00 PM - 7thFloorRA: It was in the last 20 minutes of todays show.
Mar 4, 2015 at 12:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: sjb..."Stash" lol...or "sign" ?
Mar 4, 2015 at 4:10 PM - desertdog55: Rumors say Cobb looks to walk for more money, Oakland wants him really bad and will pay.
Mar 4, 2015 at 6:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: I hear they are interested but McKenzie is no fool and won't pay that much. That is his agent planting that number and trying to get TT to up the offer based off of fear due to the huge cap space the raiders and jags have
Mar 4, 2015 at 7:38 PM - Green and Gold: It will all come down to how much Cobb values playing for the Packers.

Mar 4, 2015 at 7:40 PM - Green and Gold: In the grand scheme of things, 12 mil vs 9 mil shouldn't really mean a huge change in lifestyle. It comes down to if it's worth it to stay in GB, which I'd hope it would be.
Mar 4, 2015 at 7:41 PM - Green and Gold: The NFL has gone from nothing but speculation to full throttle transaction mode in about a week.
Mar 4, 2015 at 7:44 PM - Green and Gold: This offseason is all about the eagles so far.
Mar 4, 2015 at 7:51 PM - Green and Gold: Just roll with Davante Adams and Jordy. I'm not sure a #2 warrants $9mm when you've got Rodgers throwing to him
Mar 4, 2015 at 7:53 PM - Green and Gold: With all the former Packers that end up as Raiders, I'm really starting to expect them to put together a stadium proposal for Green Bay.
