Just my my own personal observations. Aikman has always been pretty fair as far as critique of one team over another. I was actually surprised when several posters in here said he didn’t like The Packers. I mostly heard him say positive stuff about us. I even wondered if the Cowboys fan base was irritated by him. Although much of that was during Favre to Rodgers era and probably old news. I haven’t listened as close since Love stepped into the limelight.

I think he's improved a lot the past couple years. My guess is he had drinking problems before. No doubt in my mind he was a hall of fame QB and knows what he's talking about when a QB makes a mistake
agreed but keep the team bias out of the telecast and it's there like a bad fart in the elevator or church or a plane

I did not say he had a drinking problem. I said I thought he had one because he was so bad a couple years ago. But I think he is better now. If he dislikes The Pack, I just don't care as long as what he says is accurate. And I think he's doing a good job now. I don't see him as one sided.
Gotcha, thanks for the correction.

Spot on KoJ. It is demoralizing to a defense to only allow 10 points, hold maybe the best back in the NFL to 60 yards, and still lose.

Yes, the offense is out of control. MLF lacks the traits of a leader, the traits necessary to turn around a struggling them, or in this case, a struggling offense. Looking at him along the sideline gives me no confidence, as a fan. So what do his players think?

I don't even know where to start. Love is regressing, but is that on him or on MLF's very predictable play calling. Inb an article in the JS this morning, players noted that the Eagles were calling out the play, before the play, and there were no audible options. WTF is that?

So two things will happen, and each seem equally likely - 1) MLF slowly, but surely, makes changes to the game plan. Defenses stop shouting out the play call before the snap. Aside an excellent defense, the offense improves enough to will close games. 2) Nothing changes on this inept offense. Losses mount, morale drops, and the season, especially after acquiring Parsons, is a disaster.

I believe the first thing will happen. All the offense had to do last night was produce one more TD, or two FGs for a win against the champs. So huge change isn't really needed.

But MLF has made truly bad decisions. Last night it was putting Melton back at receiver. And Love is always good for one or two truly bad plays. Last night he basically ran backwards for an awful, 14-yard loss. As for the fumble, well that's a team failure.

I guess I just don't pay that much attention. And there is a lot of contact by a lot of defenders on a lot of plays. I just kind of hold my breath numerous times during the game. And I usually start before the announcers say anything. Maybe you are mad because it is making you nervous?

You're right. There's at least two holds and various other rules violations in plays. The ones that are called are those that might have had an effect on the play or could have had an effect on a play. Sometimes even those get missed.

As far as listening to the announcers I hear what they say and make my own determinations not really agreeing with them as much as one would think. But then again, it's just like out here on the site. We don't always agree but we don't throw anyone under the bus either.

It's like when I listen to fans say that Al Michaels should hang it up, he's too old to be doing broadcasts. He's not perfect. Nobody is. But Al Michaels deserves special respect in the world of broadcasting. His words back in 1980 sparked a unity in America that was so breathtaking that to all of us watching that day could never forget. When Al said, "Do you believe in miracles?" Millions of Americans did and joined him in that perfect statement.

So, if you don't like Michaels, that's a person's personal opinion. I do. I think he tries to stay unbiased and has been a quieter voice of reason in sports. As for Aikman and Buck, they do a decent job. But don't believe for a moment that Troy is going to forget he rose to fame as a Dallas Cowboy and as he's said numerous times in the past, the Packers were really his #1 nemesis. Don't expect him to worship at the feet of LeFleur and the Packers because it's not going to happen. So what? He is fairly knowledgeable and does know the game of football and offers valuable information at times. If you don't like what he says, forget he said it. I do. It makes it a lot easier enjoying a game when I don't get wrapped up in how I feel the announcers aren't giving my team enough respect. I make my own judgements.

I'm not sure why Aikman would have much animosity towards the Packers. He was 7-2 in his career against them, including 3-0 in the playoffs. It's not like the Packers ever gave him any heartbreaking losses. The 49ers probably should be his #1 nemesis. He was 4-6 against them in his career, including a playoff loss that probably prevented the Cowboys from being the only team to ever win 4 straight championships.

Wins and losses while he played isn't necessarily the reason for any feelings. It's like saying that a retired Packer player from 5 years ago doesn't carry a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the Bears. The Packers have owned the Cowboys during that player's time in Green Bay.

The mere history of what happened between the two teams over the years can outweigh the time when he played against them. As an example, since Aikman hung up his cleats the Packers and Cowboys have played twice in the playoffs and the Packers beat them both times. That sticks in the craw of the Cowboys front office and team and carries over into Aikman since he's going to be a Dallas Cowboy until the day he dies. Just the mention of the "Ice Bowl" gets the dander up in ex-Cowboy players no matter in what era they played. Take my word on that one. I've seen it happen twice and, in both instances, the ex-Cowboy player hadn't even been born yet.

Because if you look at the last 15 years the Packers nearly skunked the Cowboys including 3 heart breaking playoff defeats. It is as if the 21st century Packers are paying back those Boys of the 90s. And it hurts...them.

Wow. The eagles played detroit kind of like they played us. Except maybe their defense was even better. Goff has a tougher time against pressure than Love dies. But they scored more points. So did the eagles. detroit should have had one last chance. What a horrible pass interference call. I doubt it would have done them any good though.

Key here is that the Lions went 0-5 on 4th downs. The Eagles D is better since the trade deadline. Had our kicking game been better we should have tried harder to get in safe FG range rather than trying for home runs. Easier said than done.
