Kind of reminds me of the infamous 2015 Packers/Seahawks NFCCG. Not THAT bad, but there were similarities.
Yes. Although, that loss was to a great team. And it was on one head coach and one ST player.

For the first time in my life, I'm embarrassed to be a Packer fan. This is the most shameful performance of Packers football I have ever seen, and it's not particularly close. Absolutely pathetic.

This was a Mike McCarthy game.
Logging in for the first time in 7 years because, though I don't have stats in front of me to back it up, I think the complete opposite is true. As the flags were flying, I was missing the impressively disciplined teams of the McCarthy era. Matt is a great coach on most levels, but he needs to figure out how to get through to this team that penalties absolutely lose games.

I know it’s just 1 game. Yet the way we just kinda slowly let Cleveland back into the game was concerning. We tend to get up on Teams scoring and then we go soft on play calling. We did the same thing last Thursday. We allowed Washington to get back inside 1 score. We shouldn’t win that game by 3 TD’s the way our Defense played. Matt had better go look hard at the film because this was not acceptable.

Once again. 3rd n 1 at GB44 and the score is 10-0. 4th QUARTER! Put the game away. Move the chains
If I’m Campbell?? that 2 tries to get 1 yard! Why are we so scared? Have Tucker take a direct snap TWICE! Get the 1st down and your near midfield. If you get to a 4th n 1 past midfield? Go for it again!!

Why do we need to take a shot down field when we need 3 feet?

I get the frustration, but the recency bias is strong with this one...

This team is not going to the SB. Just do not have enough composure. This was not a defeat. It was a choke. Plain and simple. The great teams win these like Philly did today. I have to pick Dallas next week. No way can this team put it together by then. This was not disheartening. It was embarrassing. The defense played a great game and was put with their backs to the wall and we should have eked out a W.
It amazes me how quickly some fans completely turn on their team. IT'S F****** WEEK 3.

More than that. The INT return and 2-point after jump immediately to mind. IIRC, and why would I want to, there were about an even dozen plays/players that went wrong.

I disagree with that, I think there was plenty of blame to go around in that game. It was a group effort.
Except Mason Crosby, he had no blame.

You obviously haven't watched much football then. This isn't even close to the worst. And if you're embarrassed, you know where the door is. What's truly embarrassing is seeing how quickly so-called "fans" give up on their team.

The only question in point is if you have been a fan long enough despite all the Packer successes there have been a number of historic chokes going back pre-Lombardi. BUT this one lands pretty high on the list and will not be forgotten.

That was a trap game. The Packers were clearly looking ahead to the Cowboys the following week, who they had lost 8 straight games to.
Be that as it may, it turned out to be an ill omen as we went on to lose the Super Bowl.

I remember that game because I live in Indiana. I just shrugged it off - that team did not play well in domes, if you recall, so I wasn't completely shocked. But I took SOOOOOO much crap after that game about the Super Bowl champs losing to the winless Colts. As much trash talk as I have ever heard over one game, probably.

How would YOU evaluate today (and its portent for the future?)
I don't believe in portents. I take it a week at a time. One loss against a tough defense from the other conference at their place does not erase what we did it weeks 1 and 2. This game turned on a freak play and some very questionable calls down the stretch.

Yes, it is the worst. Name another worse performance than this one, not just the 4th quarter, the entire game. The 2008 Lions would've beat this team handily today. And where the hell did I say I gave up on the team? I'm just stating facts and if you can't handle it that's your problem.

The 1990s. Pay attention.
Then please quote the context. I have a job, kids, and a life outside of internet forums. I don't have time to read every word. This wasn't a thread about 1990's it was about today, so quoting the part you're responding to is important for context.

Well I did quote the part about an "0-10 team". It's not possible for any team this season to be 0-10 right now.

Easy. Any loss to the Bears in the past 30 years. Any loss to the Lions prior to 2020. Nearly every playoff loss in the last 25 years where we were the #1 seed playing at home. That's just off the top of my head. How about the Colts in 1997? Those were all worse and then some.

I'm just stating facts and if you can't handle it that's your problem.
Opinions aren't facts. You thinking they are is your problem, not mine.

This was not just a one game thing. It showed the sublimal weaknesses that the team and staff have. Upsets are one thing. This looked like a Hollywood staged disaster film. It was not a mere upset. These were not clean up mistakes. What we saw is not correctable in the short term. Maybe in 2-3 years. Lombardi said that the mark of a great team is its ability to win even on its bad days.
