So I have recently gotten into basketball within the past year and there is something they do that I like. It's called a D-league. It's a developmental league for young players who are good but not quite NBA roster good. I know the NFL has practice squads but does anyone else think that the league would benefit from a D-league. They could have a shortened schedule, like 8-10 games. I think it would be great for some of our young players. Like most of our draft picks this year. Thoughts?

There was talk at one point that the NFL could buy the UFL and turn that into a minor developmental league.
