dang Alzheimer's. It does allow me to rewatch the same movies without knowing the endings though. Buy fewer VHS tapes that way.

Beta tapes were a better technology. Sony (?) didn't license them to others which is how a lesser product became the consumer's choice. Apple phones was able to pull it off but Mac's and IBM PCs became niche products.
